Snippets Of Our Backyard Garden 2022

Just a quick snippets into our backyard garden that is starting to take off beautifully! Started with just a small strawberry patch and now three years later…a backyard filled with all types of vegetable, fruits, and berries.

Thanks! My oldest "bluecrop" northern highbush have been the most productive variety for us here.

How many strawberries and raspberries plants do you have?

I have quite a few patch of strawberries! Too many to count. As for raspberries I have had great success growing them under filter sunlight with the yellow/golden Anne variety! I dig most of them up because they were overtaking my backyard unfortunately.

where do you get those large nursery containers from? Amazon wants $80 for one...

The black nursery containers ranging from 10 gallons up to 20 gallons I got it from a lovely lady here in town for freee. She work for a large landscaping nurseries so that's how I get them, but only when she has them available. As for the larger tubs, I get them for about 5 dollars a piece which is a pretty great price!

Thanks Jack! It is indeed an oasis for where we are at haha. I can't only imagine how your and chica oasis are during the summer! Perhaps next time we will visit right during the growing season and take a look around hehe.
