Yes gardening is addictive. Nice job. I have 5 blueberry plants now and hope they make it. Thanks for posting... I will try this method next time, if my dog chews off anymore branches.

If they are newly planted and are still small, I would prune the majority of the flower buds off if there are any and your plants will push new growth and thrive this year for sure!

@@natbackyardgarden one already has flowers. Can I still prune it?

@@jasonknight6514 yes it’s not too late to prune. It’s also fine to leave a few to eat if u want to, but the main objective is to push new and healthy shoots each year for the following year. By not letting it fruit it will focus all of its energy on making roots n shoots.

So no need to leave any leaves on the cuttings.
Do we need to bury at least one leave node?
Is early spring the best time to grow cuttings?

I do cut the majority of leaves in half. Yes at least one nodes for sure. Nope, early spring cuttings are usually 40 percent take for me. I will have a video summer cuttings video soon that use a misting system and even in 100 degrees heat outside I can basically root any cuttings 80 percent n up!

Great video! I like how you use the clear tote with the lid as a little greenhouse! I bet this will work for many types of plants. Thank you!
