Spot on observations. I had ranted these points to CM Gujarat in email since 2010 at least. There is nothing the gift can offer other than hosting data centre to host computers to route trade orders. No humans are needed there to show profits are from Gift city. It is run by some class idiot babus. No one literally knows about gift in top 10 bulge banks..or even top country banks in west not one executive. Hardly few knows about it.

I think this is a useless observation. Liquor and night life are not the only things people look for. There are a lot of people who can live without such non-sense. On the other hand, recreation and other regular amenities will come up when people flock to the city. As of now, there are less people and once the city becomes a complete reality, it will be entirely different. Don’t come without proper analysis.

There are many other states which are much more suitable for IFSC but Modi shifted it to his home State which is not suitable for the financial or IT sector and does not have any IT or financial hub and neither have any skilled workforce. On top of that there is no social life in Gujarat.
Maharashtra is the second most populated state and has the highest number of lok sabha seats after Uttar Pradesh and number one GDP of India. After government change IFSC will be back in Mumbai where it supposed to be
