SM64 - Collecting Hat at Death Barrier Glitch

- I collect Mario's hat exactly as it unloads at the death barrier. See, when Mario's hat is off of his head, it is programmed to interact with exactly two things: if the hat comes into contact with Mario, then Mario will put it on and he can leave the level with it; if the hat comes into contact with the death barrier, then it will disappear and will reappear on Ukiki the next time Mario enters the course.
In this video, I make the hat interact with both Mario and the death barrier on the exact same frame. If Mario had finished his star dance a single frame earlier, he would have put on his hat and left the level with it. If Mario had finished his star dance a single frame later, then the hat would have disappeared by the time he finished. Only on this single frame does something unusual happen. Namely, Mario performs the putting-on-his-hat animation, but then doesn't leave the level with it. Apparently, the hat's interaction with the death barrier overrides the interaction with Mario. The hat will simply be on Ukiki the next time Mario enters the course.
Just for fun, at the end of the video, I show Mario collecting his hat at the last possible frame before he is ejected from the course. Note that this interaction counts, and so Mario leaves the level with his hat. - เกม

Hell is worse than what you think (I was shaking after that experience), and Heaven is better than what you think. I have also received a personal healing miracle, I can go into details if you want. This is how God works. If you give Him the benefit of the doubt, He gives you more and more. Would I spend even 2 minutes preaching if I had an ounce of doubt? (I’ve experienced way too much)

I had a glitch where in Snowmans land, I had the hat blown off me and it was stuck where the star was in the Ice maze! No matter how many times I tried to get it, you couldn't because you would hit the star before touching the hat.

with the other power star. And when I try to do it the 100 coins star simply stays at is normal spot.
+SuperNickid If he did it with a different power star, he would have been transported off the level and wouldn't have been able to pick up his cap. The 100 coin star lets you continue in the level.
That and I'm very certain the power stars out in the open are always loaded no matter where you are in the level. So there's no way to clone those ones.

Brandon 32204 he cloned it. Dropping Ukiki off the level was how he set the HOLP (Held Object's Last Position) where items would be dropped from. The HOLP usually updates constantly to Mario's position as long as he holds an object and stops updating once he drops the object, but the hat in hand glitch prevents it from updating at all.
I know this is totally random and has nothing to do with this level or glitch, but if anyone knows the poem going on a bear hunt, the lyrics are :
