- If you jump onto a shell during the same frame you enter water, you become shell Mario. In this state, Mario has constant forward momentum, but has virtually all of his regular moves. This can make it pretty difficult to navigate, but it does look pretty cool and help with TAS speed runs.
If you walk, you will start riding the shell and the glitch will be over. Many things will cause the shell to break, and I go over these.
I also show what happens when you try the glitch with a cloned shell instead of a real shell, which is essentially that you don't keep the forward momentum.
If you teleport as shell Mario, the shell becomes invincible. Currently, it's only possible to teleport as shell Mario if you use the cloned shell, but I show what WOULD happen if you teleported as shell Mario having used an actual shell (I use cheat codes to show that part). - เกม

The game doesn't have loading screens because there are almost no loading times.
Actually, they marketed it with that premise in mind; "Disks take so long to load!"
if it was a disc, that would be the loading screen. If i ever get a time machine, i will ask them to make it a disc system so the loading screen could be that.

bro, I found a cool glitch in this glitch, if you hold control stick in any direction and you get out of water, you become normal koopa shell mario, but if you go at top right of sand, going up to the top and then slightly tilting the control stick to the right, you get trough the wall, hold control stick up and you are at the top of the mountain!

there’s another way to do the Shell Mario, you can just ride the shell and jump at the edge of the water boundary, and I guess if you’re precise enough you trigger the glitch (there are vids)

Is there any way to keep the sliding speed during death? It could do really good at the japanese version for spawning displacement.
Nelson The N Since we can't teleport with the shell, in THI (the only place where it's possible) we can't ride the invincible shell. Any form of damage breaks the shell. Also, as translational displacement, it would be all but useless.
The shell doesn't actually change your speed, it just pushes you forward.

Does this save A presses or time in THI? If you go at the corner between the wall and the steep slope at 1:19 nearly parallel to the wall, you fall for a bit and then wind up at the top, but you fall out of the world shortly afterwards.

In the 120 star TAS, the glitch is triggered while already on the shell by colliding with the world edge and water at the same time. How does that work?
There's a gap in the water surface at the edge of the world and you can use it to get under the surface to trigger Shell Mario.
The Koopa shell music is same what was wing cap music,I mean,is there glitch about wing cap and Koopa shell together?

Well I'd need the .m64 file to do that, and it would still be pretty cryptic to read. A much simpler way would be to just ask the producers of that tas

+gino does things why not? by utilising the post-teleport shell mario glitch shown at the end of the video, mario can do whatever he wants, if with a strong tendency to go forward quickly, so making timing the bob-omb grab/clone or whatever might be hard to do but should be possible.
At 3:41, you do plenty of walking, so why don't you start riding the shell clone?
Is this used in any ABC strats currently? This seems like it could be useful.

This is actually useful in the 120 Star TAS (but they use a faster but much more difficult version where you clip into the water through a tiny gap at the edge of the level)
Want to ride a shell underwater? Go to Tiny Huge Island, become shell mario, and go towards the mainland entrance. Stop the shell glitch right as you hit the spot between the wall and the slope at the water's surface. Oh, and don't forget to be walking when you land. You should now be riding the shell underwater! If you hit the edge of the world, you can walk underwater! However, if you walk out from under the goomba platform, the glitch ends.

Well I'm lucky that I got an emulator that pets me slow down speed to the frames
And now try building up speed for 12 hours
I don't know about you, but i accidently do the shell Mario on water dingy without any of those requirments.
Say you was able to reproduce this glitch in hazy maze cave and get into that strange spot at the gate would it save time when “building speed for 12 hours”

No because he use's hackers loads and there is no way to dupe stars and get them all at once
no there is no other way to get stars.
He can clone them by picking up a fake item and loading a new star.
Teh Quacken the thing is you can clone a star. but if u take the cloned star the star u just got will be counted as taken and even u get the original star your star counter won't increase
