The Shindou reverts to the Japanese sound effects while keeping most of the additions from the US version.
I'm not a fan of remakes - a lot of old games would lose their charm if they were remade. But in order for me to buy this collection, Nintendo would need to have added at least a few features to improve re-playability. For Mario 64, that would probably mean: Widescreen support, higher framerate, hard mode, and some other perks, like time trials, debug rooms, or new levels. Otherwise, I'm better off just playing mods for that fresh Mario 64 experience.

Speedrunners are speedrunners
We will find new glitches
If a “BLG” like trick is not found in 3D all stars, I’m gonna put that on my grave
Bad news:
Nintendo is Nintendo
They don’t like thing that make the game fun in a different way than what was intended
There will be patches
Good news to the bad news:
You can turn off auto-update, so it can be your choice to keep these glitches
Paul Johnson
Bro have you seen Nintendo?
There IS a trick to gain high speed to clip through the doors and endless staircase that's possible in the Shindou version called Hyper Speed Wallkick, but it's pretty much TAS-only. It requires hundreds of frame-perfect wall kicks to build speed.
the BLJ is not in 3d all stars, the reason for this is that this is not the same Mario 64 on N64 we've been playing, this is the Shindou version which removed it.
why are people so unaware that all these changes aren't new, the only thing special about this SM64 shindou is that it's translated to other languages.
@@WednesdayMan Probably cause the only region to get the shindou version is japan and they never knew about it
@@Mysticshosh42 here's my response to that: "do your research!"
This game is just awesome. Thankfully I got it the same day it came out. If you haven’t played this you should seriously try it if you haven’t already.
o no ! my favorite glitch renoved😧 the long jump glitch in endles stairs😬😱😩 !
In the shindo ver they deleted the line whe mario says "so long gay bowser"
He now says “Bye-Bi” since Mario hates Bisexuals.
@@foojo9 i hate bisexuals too
The reason why Mario doesn't say "So long, gay Bowser" in Japan is because Bowser's name in Japan is King Koopa.
@@heroessquad2019 play the unpatched Japanese version of the game and listen mario still say it because the file didn't change they chanfed only the language
WHY EVEN MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT THIS IT'S JUST SHINDOU EDITION
FakeWeegee HE KNOWS.
@@o-kapo but why even talk about it when it only patched the BLJ, talking about the other things that are not patched is kinda filler to make the video longer it seems tbh
FakeWeegee He probably just wanted to test out other things that he didn’t know if it was patched or not.
@@o-kapo i mean if he tested this out while making this video/writing the script he shouldve seen that the video would be bland and uninteresting because of only BLJ being patched, and it being common knowledge that shindou didnt patch any more of these glitches he had shown
EXACTLY YOU CAN SAY EVERYTHING NEEDING SAYING WITH 2 SENTENCES
I knew about BLJ and and cannonless. The other ones I’m using to teach my son they ways of gaming. Thanks for this
It was find the sm64 on switch but getting the back jump removed I don’t think so that glitch it was one of my favorite
The blj made Mario 64 more enjoyable in a way because it opened up a whole lot of new possibilities which increased the games enjoyment and now it’s gone 😔 (+ it’s kinda funny because it sounds like Mario’s havin a seizure)
Hahahahahahaha
it was removed all the way back in the shindou version of the game.
Kasyu I’m aware
Hay it is still possible to do the backwards long jump but I’m not sure if the version matters the one I’m playing is in the n 64 pack
The backwards long jump does work sometimes, it doesn't always work anymore
No it literally doesn't. The backwards speed is capped.
but in bob-omb battle feild when you do the blj on the moving platform it works
Ah dang they took out the backwards long jump to the last Bowser glitch. I used to do it on the N64, and I did the same on the Wii.
Welp I will be using some of these next time I play or even try my first speed run on the switch.
Man I’ve been trying for three hours and watched several videos to see what I’m doing wrong but this Mario of mine is a malfunction because he will not side jump for trying to get off the hill into the castle. Please help. What am I doing wrong
How did you go up castle in nintendo switch. Any help
when i tried the waterfall skip it teleported me at the first waterfall in the level that we se ( so literally next to the start of the level )
Also even though mips clip is still in the game it's still not allowed for any of the categories for 3D All Stars Mario 64 so it's useless for now unless we find another way to access final Bowser early that also work in this version
@OctagonalSM64 I mean yeah thats why people speedrun 16, 1 and 0 star in the orginal because collecting 70 and 120 stars are too freaking hard
love it if luigi was in 64 and sunshine. they could've added that idea just to see something incredibly new
Wish I saw this video before completing SM64 in SM 3D All-Stars
Was very sad when I heard "Buh-bye" In the reveal for the game. Made speedrunning this not as good on switch which I was hoping to do. I can still but it's not the same.
Bye, bi. Mario stays homophobic. 😎
So fucking awful that one voice line isn't the same in this one version of the game and it arguably fits way better. Nintendo's always been such a terrible company
did you get the new switch?
you can BLJ in Rising Platforms in 3D All Stars, kinda
It’s sad to see blj gone my wireless licensed Nintendo game cube controller doesn’t even have rumble
My favourite part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars is Super Mario Galaxy which I used to have on the Wii got for Xmas 2013 and also for my 9th birthday in 2011.
I have Super Mario 3D All-stars on Nintendo Switch.
I actually have come back to the game after a while and they've fixed a few (I think) Like hazy maze cave glitch don't work no more as well as bomb jump thing in bob bomb battle field I couldn't get to work (maybe its a skill issue ngl)
Nope. Nothing is patched, there's just a backwards speed cap.
95% of glitches still around yet removes the BLJ? Oh, hell to the no.
But, very interesting tips and tricks. Thank You very much.
Ghostly Winds 20 or more years ago they did
Before I watch further this is the Shin do version so most of the bugs are already fixed
Only blj is fixed
How did Nintendo Patch the BLJ in the shindig version when it hadn’t been discovered yet?
Indeed, this is just the shindou edition that released in Japan very long ago. And it patched the blj long ago.
R.I.P BLJ
1996-2020
This is a good video.
You can still do the backward stair jump glitch it’s just harder you need to angle Mario towards the wall
HOW do you do the backwards long jump???
Creepy pasta Wario: YOU WANT FUN? WARIOS GONNA GIVE YOU FUN * Mario running for his life *
Here's my question! Does the perfect swimming exploit in JRB still work? You know, the one where you can get the 6th star without the metal cap?
@@tunesfromlucas9897 ah yes BLJ is not a glitch
@@Piggy26 The Blj was removed in the Shindou version 23 years ago.
@@tunesfromlucas9897 yes but i think this is a carbon copy of the shindou version. Updated textures and whatnot
Obviously
