    Great videos. Just discover your channel. I live in Spokane and do a lot of riding around the Pacific Northwest. You’ve hit all the roads I have hit, very beautiful Area here in the Pacific Northwest. Your your video photography is fantastic. You speed up the film just when needed and slow it down just when needed.Like your commentaries also. A lot of work goes into making these videos and you put them together perfectly. I know it takes lots of time but thanks for doing them it’s always enjoyable seeing the scenery in the places.

      Thanks for the positive feedback on the videos. The Pacific Northwest offers some great roads to ride. The Spokane area including north Idaho is very scenic. Thanks for watching. More videos to come.

      The traffic is usually light on the Wallowa loop. Nice not having to deal with thick lines of cars.

    Enjoyed the vid, I also like to ride Hells Canyon, but I like to do it in April when everything is green. I didn't know it got named, that name fits.
    Makes me crazy that Tail of the Dragon gets all the press when we've got some impressive roads out here. One example
    is Meadow Lake Rd out of Carlton OR, 100 miles of 30 and 40 MPH curves and you end up on the coast.There's a cool campground right in the middle of it. Only one drawback there is about fifteen miles or so of gravel right in the middle of it. The guys on the GSs would love it. Ride Safe

      Jim. Yes, there are many twisty roads out west. Oregon is great. Meadow Lake Road sounds vaguely familiar. 10 or 12 years ago a riding buddy and I took a few wrong turns somewhere around Sweet Home on our way to the coast. Missed Corvallis and wound up riding a back road that turned into gravel and dirt around Alsea falls or Alsea camp ground. I remember seeing a sign. We kept on going until the road became paved again and finally dumped onto 101 at Waldport. Whatever back road that was, it was a blast to ride. I recall one nice twisty section that carved through a Christmas tree farm. We were all grins riding through that area. Suffering the gravel section on our big cruisers was a small price to pay. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment.

    Excellent video sir, can you please let me know which brand of windshield you have on that bike?

    • @WheelStories
      @WheelStories  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The windshield is a BMW part that was made for the R1150R while the model was current. I do not believe it is sold any longer but I have seen used ones on Ebay and at Beemer Boneyard. Thanks for watching.

    The scenery is very reminiscent of New Zealand's South Island.

      That's what I am told. Many of the same outdoor activities. Hiking, skiing, kayaking, white water rafting, jet boating. One of these days I need to visit New Zealand.

      Thanks for watching the video. I have owned only one BMW and that's the 1150. I love the bike and haven't had any issues after roughly 46K miles. Easy to perform routine maintenance. Still running strong. It's a keeper.

    Great video! What camera setup where you using? Greetings from Ireland!

    • @WheelStories
      @WheelStories  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Daniel. I am using SJCAM SJ4000 action cameras for the riding segments. I attach the cameras to my helmet, handlebars, rear rack and a few other spots on my bike. SJCAM manufacturers an assortment of action cameras to compete with GroPro at a lower price point. I carry a Canon G7X in my tank bag or a case attached to my jacket belt. I use the Canon for run and gun shots of scenery on the side of the road. I also place it on a small tripod or sit it on a rock or fence post for the drive by shots. I also speak to the Canon on occasion. It has a built in mic that produces acceptable sound. For better quality I use a Nikon D5300 DSLR with a Rode external mic. This camera produces the best video and sound of the bunch. I have several lenses for the Nikon including a long zoom for shooting distant objects and scenery. Thanks for watching and leaving the comment. Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day on Saturday. I just started a pot of corn beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes for tonight. Also picked up some pint cans of Guiness for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. Great way to finish the week.

    Lots of good work in this video, but speeding up the video on the motorcycle POV shots was a real detractor.

      Thanks for the feedback. I tend to agree and have not been manipulating the speed in my more recent videos except for when I am looking for a time lapse effect.
