He definitely has a lot of potential. He needs to bulk up his body because NBA players are going to try to push him around. I hope he represents Australia well.
Decent quickness. High revving motor. Limited skillset* as a teen but with 25lbs of muscle added to his large frame, this kid could develop into something special. *it's a highly appropriate skillset
No, the 2020s was the period when the rest of the NBA decided to try to compete with Curry and Golden State head to head, man to man, shooting threes just like the Warriors. Every "new" big is trying to be KD, just like every guard is trying to be Steph. This the Curry Era and every player, big or small, must demonstrate the skills pioneered by Curry and the Warriors. This guy is going to face the same obstacles that Jokic, Gannis, Porzingis, Gobert and every other 7 footer faces in this spread floor, one on one defense intensive Era. Height is no longer a decisive advantage in basketball. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't, just ask Rudy Gobert.
What in the hell is professional swimming supposed to be? I've never heard of a swimmer going pro. What league exactly would they be competing in? Come on man.
Lamelo was averaging 17 points 7 assists and 7 boards in the NBL at the same age, you seriously can’t tell me a guy getting 4 points a game would be better in the NBA? He’ll be an NBA player but not a star lmao
@@tombatten9065 Big guys take time! And predicting him to be a star now would make me seem like a genius, so that is a long term gamble on my end haha.

@@lukecavill2556 he has had a rough last couple of weeks. I am not sure what is going on down there. Brisbane is terrible, yet he is barely leaving the bench. I wonder what the future will show us.
The NBL is certainly not the third strongest league in the world. And secondly, you are deluding yourselves with the normal player, he just has height, these are not numbers of a young man (with that height) who will become a standout in the NBA.
You aren't wrong, but I think the topic of which league is better than which is very up in the air. There are a lot of factors we could measure. There definitely are league's within Europe beneath the Euroleague you could argue that have higher competition. Or maybe the G League. Mayyyyybe China or Japan (I would strongly disagree there though). And you have to remember Rocco is barely 18 right now. Big guys take longer to develop. If you look up the history of lots of the NBA's best foreign big men you will most likely be shocked by how little they all produced prior to getting drafted (most of which played in even lesser leagues). Obviously there are exceptions as some guys dominate, but especially with bigs it is exceedingly rare. I am speculating based off of his on-court ability what he could someday be in the NBA. He very well may never be a star, but he has the physical tools and has shown flashes of being a great player and I am rooting for him.
I must disagree with your points although he is very raw offensively he has shown good defensive game with growth potential. His main drawpoint would be his movement and athleticism which is very agile for his size, great footwork
An an Aussie, I really hope he fulfils his potential, or at least gets close. If he does, he'll (eventually) be a starting NBA centre.
Good overview of a young player of great promise.
One of my favorite players in the 2025 draft
looks legit
please teach this kid the Sky Hook
Fuck yesss, especially rn since his offense is really raw
Nice overview of Rocco man.

Those moving screen banners courtside are nasty. They must catch the peripheral vision of the players and district them.
@@JonFrumTheFirst I bet they do. The NBL has too many adds littering their courts. They even got rid of the team logos at center court.

7"3 at 16!? He likely has 1-3 more inches to grow. I hope he stays healthy and continue to expand his game.
reminds me a bit of Donovan Clingan
Clingan is the Incredible Hulk compared to this guy.
Zach in the same sentence as Wemby 😂😂
@@zeit6614 maybe should have picked Chet, but you get the point haha
I don't think he'll ever be as good as Wemby, but IF he reaches his potential, he could have a similar impact on games.
Wemby had one good year...when he has 3+ great years in a row, then he'll be great. Goes for every player in every sport.

LOL NO WAY. Watch him in an NBL game.
From what I have seen of him, he is not even a bench player in the NBA. I saw him play last week in an NBL game, and he did nothing.
