Anyone who thinks Turell is even a EuroLeague or NBAGL player though is biased and has no credibility

It´s a nice story, he seems to be an incredible athlete. I wonder if he had chosen to play for a D1 college team if his career would have had a different direction. He would have played against and with much better players, he could have developed much more and maybe that would have given him more opportunities at the Gleague and in the NBA.

You’re only as good as the people you play with or against. I have always believed that. Identifying your weakness or weakness is essential & I wonder if the coaches could have done more for him in this part of the game.

His story reminds me of Tamir Goodman, an Orthodox Jewish player from Baltimore in the late 90s who later played at Towson University and Israel for several years before wrapping up his career in the minor league Premier Basketball League. In Goodman's case, he was a top point guard recruit with amazing court vision but there were issues surrounding accommodating some of his religious requirements such as him not playing on the Sabbath (which is why he transferred from University of Maryland, where he could've been part of the 2002 National Championship team). Ryan Turrell MIGHT make it into the NBA for short spells if everything lines up for him, but it's more likely Israel will be his new home during and after his career.
