The seating plan at a key Platinum Jubilee event may have been set up to stop Harry and Meghan appearing in photographs with other senior members of the Royal Family, according to the Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden.
Speaking on our royal talk show Palace Confidential, Eden speculates that other royals such as Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie may have been told to stay in their seats to avoid any unfortunate photographs appearing the in media afterwards.
‘There was a procession to leave the cathedral and it meant that Harry and Meghan were far behind,’ he says. ‘They had to wait for everyone else in their row to leave first so they couldn’t be photographed, they weren’t in the same shots as Prince Charles or the Cambridges.’

There are no children. if the need arises they will borrow some. The Queen an DoE were waylaid in the Palace corridor and forced to look at the first child when it was "born". The Queen and none of the senior Royals were not going to be complicit in their deception. So they will have to get over themselves.

The highlight of the Jubilee was watching HMTQ interact as a great-grandmother to Prince Louis. Her delight at him on the balcony was a beautiful thing to see.

I can just imagine a teenage Prince Louis cringing when he is shown the clips of himself at the Jubilee. A real family album moment😀😀
For a 4 year old, he handled that very long and eventful day remarkably well.

From my home in America, I was up at 4am to watch the PLATINUM JUBILEE. I have followed the Queen since I was a young girl. I will be 80 in a few days. I adore her and admire the way she is always constant. Maybe she will be here for you for another 10years,.she has done some great things

It seems that H & M were deliberately 15 minutes late because they didn't want to go in the van with his cousins and had to use a service car to get to the church service.
They were supposed to attend the luncheon. They had tickets for the concert - but NOT in the Royal Box.
The general feeling is they left early because it was very obvious no-one wanted to be near them and their mics.
They got rightfully cold shouldered and STILL managed to misbehave...late so they would not have to ride a bus but got their own car and special entrance and rolling down the blacked out car window because they were so terrified (sarc)

They LOVE coming in late so they can make a grand entrance. Remember that infamous concert hall incident where they came in while the audience was giving a standing ovation to someone on-stage? THEY THOUGHT IT WAS FOR THEM. They remained standing, H looking ill at ease, MM smug and beaming and even curtseying at her public. The audience members' facial expressions were priceless, and you could even lip-read people saying "they think it's for them". Lady C explained the complex hierarchy of titles and roles that is served by protocol, and that dictated the seating plan. Also, H&M reportedly purposely avoided the bus for lesser royals and then climbed into a security vehicle for the ride to St. Paul’s. The solo sashay to their seats was solo because by skipping the bus they arrived after Beatrice and Eugenie, requiring the cousins to stand up to make room for the Harkles. So awkward!

Haz did it on purpose, the intended to walk into the church solo(🤣🤣🤣🤣) and they thought when they got to their row the other royals would move down so he and the wife would at least be sat on the end of the row in better view. They chose to arrive at Clarence House late to avoid the bus ride with nonworking cousins. It meant they arrived in a fancy car, late. Allowing them an escort in. The seating was perfect as it was typical of non workers. Nothing peculiar at all. It's how it needed to be, because they are not working royals.

There was a lot of damage-done by H and M on the Oprah interview and afterwards as well. They only came to get the photo op for Netflix which the RF prevented thankfully. So again, they weren’t there for the Queen or the RF, they were there to merch for themselves and Netflix
That's a good point! If they were there for the family they would have been very happy to sit with Pr Eugenie at the Church service and wherever their seating was for the Party at the Palace and Parade.
And we'll never know where they were going to sit, because they chucked a strop and left early.

I believe that the seating arrangement avoided chaos, and prevented Harry and Meghan from jumping line, and moving through chairs to walk directly behind William, pushing Edward and Sophie to the side, as they did during their last engagement before leaving the UK.

Thank you, most of us got into the spirit. We had a great tea party at home with family. Some dislike the privilege of the Royals. My opinion is the Royals know they are privileged and in return give their life to service to our country to earn it, at least I know 100% the Queen has done. I love seeing the traditional British celebrations, the turnout goes to show how respected our Queen is. People from all over the world came to celebrate with us 🍾

The palace just made sure that this will not become about this two but about the Queen which they did splendidly.

Loved hearing both Richard and Victoria. I felt there was tremendous unity among the family. Except for Harry and his wife the rest of the family gets on very well. Especially the interactions between the Cambridge children and Zara and Peter Philips children are a joy to watch. I wish you would have spoken about the Wessexes . They had front row seats at the Cathedral. And at every public occasion they all loved gorgeous. Prince Edward has such a lovely contented settled look about him. Harry could have been in that state had he not wanted to push himself and his wife ahead of the Cambridges. And it was fantastic how it was managed so that Prince William and his father were never in the same frame as Harry . All in all , a marvelously well organized event.

The Wessexes went to the Rock of Gibraltar this week but, other than the Mail and the Express, their visit seems to have been ignored by the media - I suppose the reason might be because Edward nd Sophie were warmly welcomed everywhere they went, no elected official tried to embarrass them, no one held any demonstrion against them and no one called for the abolition of the monarchy.

I really don’t understand why so many people expect William to be the one to initiate the reconciliation. After all Harry has said and done people just don’t trust him to behave like a family member (albeit a difficult one) who has come to a family gathering and not an attention seeking, petulant man. This visit - and his rapid departure - was definitely a sign of his negative attitude and belief in his own importance.

Harry believed he was more important than William from his childhood once he was told he's the spare. Diana probably said "it should be yu Harry" to make him feel better not realizing he would believe it. Princess Margaret even told the queen's secretary that she and Elizabeth would switch places. The queen's secretary was appalled knowing it could create resentment. Her whole life she felt second best and had a very unstable existence. She had nothing to do. Harry never found a calling.

Horrid Harry and Methane Markle got BOOED leaving the service... Very loudly and clearly audible..inspite of the bells ringing loudly, we could hear the BOOING it was fantastic..and it was obvious it was for them! They were wired and the whole family knew so they didn't talk to them knowing they can't be trusted..the Queen handled them in a brilliant way, they left in a rage because they got what they deserved. There was one of the Queens guard sitting behind them in Saint Pauls and he had scrambling equipment on to disrupt anything they were recording. They purposely arrived 15 mins late at the Service because they knew they were supposed to travel in the bus with all the lesser Royals..Lady C knows all about this. So they arrived in a security van..they didn't get what they wanted and serves them right!! The Palace/Queen knew exactly what they were up to and she handled it like a brilliant chess game!! 👏

The seating was suppose to work in conjunction with scheduled arrivals as is ALWAYS the way with Royal events. But the Sussexes, who know absolutely that such events are timed to the precise second, were 15 minutes late at Clarence House-deliberately - which they hoped would result in them not travelling (as scheduled) in the minibus with the Yorks (which it did) but rather with Charles and Camilla. Their plan was to pre empt the precedence of the Cambridges. Had they gone as they were supposed to, with The York party, they would have processed down the aisle of the Cathedral at the head of that party and filed naturally to their assigned seats. Because of their Machiavellian 15 minute delay, a security detail car had be hastily commandeered for them - it wasn’t a limousine or a private car - they walked up the steps and down the aisle alone (to boos and side-eyes) and tried to get the York party to ‘shove down’. Beatrice & Eugenie refused. They knew what the Sussexes had tried to do and were like deer in headlights.

This explanation sounds plausible. Eugenie and Beatrice resent Catherine and meghan because they are higher now than the blood princesses. No way would they have moved down for harry and megan now. It would have raised Megan above them. Two years ago Harry would have been near William.
I loved the Paddington bear video for more reasons than one. My eagle-eyed husband noticed that we have the same crockery set. It was going down to the local charity shop because it’s never hardly used but if it’s good enough for Her Majesty and Paddington it’s certainly good enough for my husband and I. I cannot stand the implication of a conflict between the brothers. The truth is that when a malignant narcissist enters any family, unbelievable chaos and pain ensues, these very sick individuals divide to conquer , seeking control and dominance, at any cost. This is why I believe they were ASKED to leave early, or rather, told. They were a security risk, and what they were doing was illegal and a violation of privacy. NO ONE wanted them there.

Now I hear that H is DEMANDING AN APOLOGY for the way the RF treated them! No kidding, he is THAT much out of touch with reality. I remember MM expected an apology from the RF after the Oprah interview. She actually expected all of them to slap themselves on the forehead and exclaim, "My God! The Harkles were supposed to be on the bus but Mr and Mrs high and mighty couldn’t be seen with the secondary royals (their livelihoods depend on it), were heartily boo-ed (thank you Brits!) and the palace has not confirmed meeting “Lilibet” because it has not happened.
Not revealing their children means THERE ARE NO KIDS. The Cambridges show off their kids because George is the heir. The public needs to see the heirs to be sure they exist. Multiple sources have claimed H&M were supposed to attend many other events but their reception after the service with the boos and their reaction to the seating plan saw them pull out of most. I do not believe that they would have passed up the chance for photo opportunities at the concert etc with them amongst the other Royals re but their rage had them withdrawing. Though if Harry thought they’d be sidelined again it could would further underline to the world that they no longer are relevant Royals. There was a cousins meal after trooping of the colour which they didn’t got to, if William & Cathrine were there I imagine that would have been very awkward. They were supposed to go to the Guild Hall after the service but they pulled out & that caused real problems. All the junior Royals went to this to represent the Queen & I bet it was no ones idea of fun!
Barring something happening to the Queen I doubt we’ll see them in the UK again. I think Harry’s renewed rage will come out in print later this year and the family are going to have to brace themselves!

You are all spot on. H&M were invited to everything, but were seated away from the real Royals, and would have been also if they had stayed for the party and parade. M’s glued-on smile and H’s face at St. Paul’s showed their true colors.
And the panel seems to think that William and Harry have equal responsibility to mend the relationship. No! H and M caused all the problems, so it’s on THEM to apologize. Prince Phillips passing last year was tragic for the Queen and her family, but it didn’t cause H to make any amends. He and M so far seem too self-involved to be able to see things from anyone else’s standpoint and to recognize the harm they have caused.
This will deter them from coming to royal events in the future. They may be invited, but they likely will not come to face the boos again. Win win for the RF.

I thought H&M were invited to every event and ended up absconding early and unexpectedly, so how could they have said beforehand what they’d attend? The seating plan at the Cathedral was brilliantly strategized; the people who organized it are genius chess players and very experienced at how to avoid potential disasters. I also believe it was calculated for the Tindall’s to be waiting with H&M for their cars and to have Zara talk with them, so they couldn’t say they were completely ignored. I picture Zara being asked if she’d do this (or maybe she drew the short straw, lol).
If the men in grey suits are such brilliant chess players, then they'd know the seating arrangement at the church was a major blunder that cost them. They went through all that trouble to seat them poorly and the public saw it for what it was! While many are enjoying their Schadenfreude at the Sussex's expense, the world was shown how petty the royal family could be. That's a good look for a Queen who has served her country for 70 years!

It was reported the Harkles arrived at Claremont House late for the bus to BP with the rest of the royals. They were driven by security to BP and then escorted to their assigned seats. It appears they were both wired for sound for the occasion. The only ripple the Harkles managed to make was the one indicating they were irrelevant, and the British citizens didn't much care for them being there. I just wonder if, after that little performance, they were not specifically uninvited from attending any other events.

The seating plan would have been decided by the Queen's private secretary and the Lord Chamberlain's office, but HMQ had the final say. Why were the Gloucesters, etc in the front? Because they officially represent the Queen and, more practically, the cannot easily stand for long periods and HMQ wanted them to gave a clear view.
