Omg! U actually made the xmen movies worth watching again!! I literally applauded twice! That character select, yes! Back ground music was right on point, and that game was a quarter munching classic! I remember being obsessed! I was soooo waiting the "x-chickens" line from magneto, and had to give that a round of applause!!!! This is now the "number 1 movie in america".... 😁😁😁

I think there was that one scene from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (the same movie which gave us an appearance by the Blob, who nonetheless didn't show up in this video, "Nothing moves the Blob!" be scuttled), but that's about it. And as an X-Men player who mained Dazzler (and secondaried Cyclops), I hear you. Sure, Dazzler was always a bit of a second-stringer in the comic books, even though she once soloed the Juggernaut and _almost_ won (though admittedly because Juggie turned out to be a big fan of her music, so he wasn't 100% willing to _completely_ wipe the floor with his idol), but Dazzler definitely needed some love in the movies. Even a lamer like friggin' _Multiple Man_ was in X3, for Lee's sake! But having the power to absorb noise (like the thundering din of battle) and convert it into photon explosions and laser beams is _not_ a power to be underestimated! (Did we ever get a comic book issue which pitted Dazzler against a supervillain whose entire schtick was sonic-based attacks, like Screaming Mimi/Mockingbird? Probably not; as with Colossus or Wolverine trying to solo Magneto, it would have ended in a complete wipe with Dazzler on top, and complete wipes don't make for very exciting issues. "Hi, I'm Screaming Mimi! Now I'm screaming at Dazzler with lethal force...aaaaand she's just soaking it up, glowing and aiming her hands back at me. Why do I get the feeling like I'm about to get zzzZARRRKKK blargh wug wug ow ow ow OOF oh god oh god...")
I liked that part immensely. Most people may be unaware of this, but many lines in the original game were recorded in pieces, and later struck together, so in a way, that was a fun Easter Egg.
I gotta say this is one of the best edits I've seen seen the golden Era of TH-cam AMV's. Your a true artist man. I can tell you put a lot of effort into these.
Now we've brought it up, you should TOTALLY do The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron with Captain America and The Avengers SFX. That way, you get all 4 playable characters and Ultron.

As someone who played the hell out of this arcade game, I absolutely laughed my ass out of my chair watching this! Also, you know what would be amazing? Stranger Things dubbed over with Earthbound sound effects lol
Holy crud! There are no words! This was long overdue and excellent sir! So many times I'd say that 'Master of Magnet' line to myself while watching the movies. The only thing missing is the Nightcrawler scene in X2 but the Wolverine stuff more then makes up for it. The sad thing is that when I post this on FB only a few people will really get it, what a crime. Again well done sir! Long overdue!
The Stage 1 music was _my_ jam, the perfect tune for marching in with Dazzler and jump-kicking squads of Mini-Sentinels (who were working for Magneto for some reason) to hundreds of bouncing, exploding pieces. But the jungle stage theme was a close Second! ^_^
Excellent, with Konami's screaming and thumping sounds, movies are more intense and entertaining!!. Thank You for this masterpiece, think about doing a second part! :D
You never cease to amaze me, RetroSFX. Job well done. You thought that was X-citing enough, you should do a redub of Pryde of the X-Men, but with the voices from the 90s cartoon. Imagine Australian Wolverine with Cal Dodd's voice. That would blow our minds and then some. ^_^

This was seriously fantastic! I love this kind of stuff! My favorite part would have to be "Juggernaut will flatten you!" You know what would be a good idea. Avengers infinity war or endgame with Capcom's Marvel Super Heros sound effects.
LOL On my old iPhone (granted, with the poorer speakers), at 8:05 it sounds like Pyro says "Pyro will tear you to toast!" It's probably "... will turn you..." but it made me laugh. Given the other strange grammar in the voice-acting, though, it wouldn't surprise me. Love it! 😁
I hear you. The last time I checked, Marvel pretty much washed their hands of Dazzler by sticking her in the Mojoverse with Longshot. _Nobody_ visits the Mojoverse anymore, which is understandable; the only cool thing to come out of Mojoverse is Spiral, and even _she_ dressed herself like a dork; I believe that Kitty Pryde had a snide remark about Spiral's furry legwarmers in one X-Men issue back around the mid-90's. (But a supervillainess who once turned Rogue's absorption power against her, hijacked Rogue's body to become a Spiral/Rogue gestalt, soundly crushed five other X-Men - including Colossus at full armor - by _herself_ and was only stopped from finishing the X-Men off because she was working for the United States Government at the time and the Government serendipitously called Spiral away on another mission is _not_ a character to be ignored. At least Spiral got to make an appearance in X-Men: Children of the Atom, though; I mained her, I beat the game with her and I had a good laugh at her kicking Magneto's ass just for the sake of show business. Maybe she should have showed up in that old X-Men six-player too, if only to spite Dazzler.)
1:04 How many times did we old mall rats experience _that_ in the arcades back in the 90's? One player's playing X-Men alone, a boss starts kicking his ass, then a few other people standing around and watching the game decide to take pity on that player, plunk their quarters or tokens into the coin slots, smack their Start buttons and jump in to save his sweet ass? Arcades really can bring out the best in humanity. :-) 1:55 Toad broke one of the cardinal rules of the X-Men comics: *NEVER* yank Cyclops' visor off! Cyclops is a walking death cannon, that visor's the only thing keeping his superpower in check, and if you yank it off, he _might_ wreck his own team, but he'll almost _certainly_ wreck you (or in this case, he'll accidentally enable one of his teammates to wreck you instead). The only reason why Magneto got away with yoinking Cyclops' visor inside the Statue of Liberty later in this movie is because Magneto's such a mastermind. If you're _not_ a mastermind, _don't do it._ (Hell, _Mister Sinister_ is another supervillain mastermind from the X-Men's Rogues Gallery, and even he has the good sense to leave Cyclops' visor alone! Be like Mister Sinister: wear a cool supervillain costume, be smart, study up on your enemies - like, _everything_ down to their genetic codes - and use that detailed knowledge to kick their asses. The ability to manipulate genetics by force of will alone - to improve your goons' superpowers, give them superpowers that they didn't have before and make perfect clones of yourself so that Deadpool has to kill you _dozens_ of times just to beat his own video game - isn't obligatory, but it certainly helps.) 3:29 "Alas, that was Mystique, not..." "...Wolverine!" was a pretty sweet cut, I have to say. :-D 5:46 I still say that Anna Paquin was _not_ a good choice to play Rogue. She's really cute and all, but she did _not_ capture Rogue's "Southern belle" twang, dialect, self-confidence and tomboyishness well at all. Absorption powers or not, Rogue's _personality_ has always been her selling point. And Paquin just couldn't manage it. (And oh, be still, my aching foot fetish....) 7:34 Uh oh! The movie has Pyro in it! RetroSFX, you included a movie scene with Pyro in it, and the X-Men arcade game had Pyro as the Stage 1 boss! He has to say The Line! He _has_ to say it! Say it, Pyro! Say it say it say it SAY IT.... 8:04 HE SAID IT! My faith in you is maintained, RetroSFX! :-D (Admittedly, though, I'm still a bit saddened that you didn't include that "Wolverine vs the Blob" ring match from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I kept waiting for this sweet video to say "NOTHING MOVES THE BLOB!" But alas, it was not to be.) 9:04 ...and just like that, all is forgiven. Another fine tour de force, RetroSFX! ^_^

1:04 How many times did we old mall rats experience _that_ in the arcades back in the 90's? One player's playing X-Men alone, a boss starts kicking his ass, then a few other people standing around and watching the game decide to take pity on that player, plunk their quarters or tokens into the coin slots, smack their Start buttons and jump in to save his sweet ass?
Arcades really can bring out the best in humanity. :-)
1:55 Toad broke one of the cardinal rules of the X-Men comics: *NEVER* yank Cyclops' visor off! Cyclops is a walking death cannon, that visor's the only thing keeping his superpower in check, and if you yank it off, he _might_ wreck his own team, but he'll almost _certainly_ wreck you (or in this case, he'll accidentally enable one of his teammates to wreck you instead). The only reason why Magneto got away with yoinking Cyclops' visor inside the Statue of Liberty later in this movie is because Magneto's such a mastermind. If you're _not_ a mastermind, _don't do it._
(Hell, _Mister Sinister_ is another supervillain mastermind from the X-Men's Rogues Gallery, and even he has the good sense to leave Cyclops' visor alone! Be like Mister Sinister: wear a cool supervillain costume, be smart, study up on your enemies - like, _everything_ down to their genetic codes - and use that detailed knowledge to kick their asses. The ability to manipulate genetics by force of will alone - to improve your goons' superpowers, give them superpowers that they didn't have before and make perfect clones of yourself so that Deadpool has to kill you _dozens_ of times just to beat his own video game - isn't obligatory, but it certainly helps.)

5:46 I still say that Anna Paquin was _not_ a good choice to play Rogue. She's really cute and all, but she did _not_ capture Rogue's "Southern belle" twang, dialect, self-confidence and tomboyishness well at all. Absorption powers or not, Rogue's _personality_ has always been her selling point. And Paquin just couldn't manage it.
(And oh, be still, my aching foot fetish....)
