I’ve seen HUNDREDS of driver videos on curing the slice…. this is by far the BEST !!! I can’t wait to start applying the lessons shown!! This hopefully will stop my 40 yrs of searching for this holy grail !! LOL OBTW , love the pup !
Terrific instruction. I take your tips to the simulator on the weekends. My dispersion pattern with the driver is tightening up and distance increasing! Thanks for speaking about the things that other instructors beat around the bush about!
Hi Russell, Thank you so much for your amazing message and feedback and I’m really happy that I was able to give you a video that really helps you. Internet instruction isn’t the easiest but all I try and do here on the channel is to give a comprehensive overview to every ability and standard of golfer. Any questions that you may have in the future please don’t hesitate to message me here , on Facebook or on the Instagram page. Many thanks once again and kind regards . Warren
Thank you so much, I love doing them and it’s always appreciated when comments are positive like yours. Thank you for supporting me on the channel. Kind regards Warren
Thank you so much for letting me know and taking the time to respond, it’s always nice to hear. I hope the weather isn’t too cold in Germany for you at the moment? Kindest regards Warren
Just watched two of your videos. Very impressed. I’ve been searching for the answers to my swing that you give in both videos. Thank you very much. I have subscribed and look forward to any new content. Bless
Warren, just going through your backlog of videos. Im using your tray video to train my main fault the last week, which makes this driver drill easier to do. Just basically followed your moves in this video with the driver in the garden. Even though im getting on a bit, I feel I can generate much more speed than of late, as I stall quite often with the driver. Subconsciously I think I'm guiding the ball to keep it on the fairway. Its worked for my scoring, I got to single figures years ago. But 220 drives stalling isnt good enough. I feel I can gain 20 yards at least with this with practise. Great as usual Warren , thanks.
Just by pure luck I found your site. After years of following a range of ideas, some work some don't I came across your outstanding content and know I will be really enjoying Golf a hole ;ot better. Cheers from the sunny Bay of Plenty, NZ.
Hi Jerry, lovely to receive your message, many thanks for taking the time out and stopping by the channel. It’s lovely to have to along and I hope you enjoy the content going forward. Any specific area you would like me to cover please let me know and I’ll do my best to introduce it. Very jealous you’re in NZ! Many thanks and kind regards Warren
I will certainly work on dropping my right elbow into the slot as demonstrated. I hit driver with slight draw bias and generally carry it around 250-260 yards, I recon with this manoeuvre, I might just gain another 20 yards?!! Plus my Srixon is 15 years old, so needs upgrading!! Thanks for sharing your wisdom on here.
Hi Chris Thank you so much for leaving a comment and feedback on the video , taking the time out to do, this is really appreciated. Wishing you well, and kind regards Warren
Excellent addition to what is slowly clicking on the snapping release. I sometimes get the sensation that I need to brake the body in order to allow the release, rather than letting the body/shoulders just come through. What is the sequence on the downswing: drop the arms (and shoulder) keeping the bowed wrist, release the hands by putting on the brakes on the left leg and then turning through?
It’s really hard to say as it’s so individual, but I would say judging by what you say and the transition happens so quickly, I would still be aware off your shoulders tilt and arms. Then working on your release separately. Plenty of rehearsal swings away from the course to be able to blend the lot. If you want to send a swing I’ll be happy to take a look. If you would like that, send me your number in dm on instagram or fb and I can watsapp you. Then you could send me your swings. Hope it all helps. Regards Warren
Hi David, thanks for the feedback and Trev is a Red Golden Retriever. More of a working background than the standard goldens, that’s why he loves being outside on the range or golf course. Cheers Warren
Hi there, Yes definitely, working on more of a role release is mainly for golfers who don’t have a release, so the video is mainly for those golfers, having a neutral release is something I would always look for. Hope that helps. Regards Warren
Hi Dinesh, That's a tricky one as it's such a split second but I would say because the only thing holding onto the club are your hands, you can feel the palm of your right hand and the back of your left hand are facing the target. I have an impact video coming out on Friday so hope that will help. Regards Warren
Thanks once again Warren, you have a great way of explaining things so simply, amazed you don’t get lots more views and subscribers. I am so typical of how you describe a slicing golfer and rely on hybrids off the tee and my driver and three wood gather dust in the garage. Would this tip also potentially help my hybrids off the tee and also maybe worth a try with my three wood before I’m brave enough to get the “big dog” out again ? Cheers, Tony
Hi Tony, Many thanks for the message, really appreciate your feedback that means a lot. Absolutely, but probably not as much as the driver as it's teed up more, but introducing shoulder tilt especially for a golfer who slices will always help. Good luck. Warren
Hi Warren , great video but does this mean you swing differently with the driver , compared to to the swing in No more back pain and same swing thought for 10 years with the irons as they seem to me to be very different or am I missing something, thanks Ps hope to get down to see you for a lesson
Hey Tripp, Thanks for contacting me. Absolutely it can but I would say to a lesser extent with the irons as the driver is teed up, but yes having spine tilt is always a factor in getting the club in the slot. Hope that answers your question. All the best and please buzz over any more as and when. Regards Warren
Hi Robert, It is similar as I’m an advocate of not changing swings but there are some differences, ball position being the main one, plus with an iron you can have a degree of lateral movement with the head but I would keep everything the same. Hope this helps Warren
I would say it all depends on the level of how much over the top the golfer has. With the ball being teed up there is more required to encourage a more ascending strike, but with an iron there is always an element of shoulder tilt. I hope that helps and many thanks for seeing the video. Regards Warren

Dear Warren, Thanks a lot for the video. This is one of the best videos which I found. I used to slice badly with my driver. I will try this now
Hi Dinesh,
Awesome to hear thank you. Hope it helps, keep it smooth and let the ball get in the way of the release.

Good looking swing too at the end

Don’t you think a passive release is more consistent.? Then a role release?

Dear Warren, Can you please suggest some check points to ensure that the club face is square at impact?

@@warrenbennettgolfacademy so is it a very similar concept with irons, just far less side bend and shoulder tilt??

Too much showing of the wrong thing instead of slow motion correct thing!

I think Trev has fleas as he is always scratching himself. Get him a flea collar.
Many thanks for your concern, but he doesn’t have fleas

Warren I feel with this shoulder down swing, what stops the club from hitting the ground before the ball ? 😊
