    Warren, what great advice this is. The idea of the flatter turn and then dropping the right shoulder is very helpful. Having 2 distinctly different movements actually makes this a lot easier for me to understand the transition. Thank you for what you are producing. The split screen is a bonus too. You definitely can bring it back in your stance, the only disadvantages if that are it can encourage sitting back and there’s less time to square up the face. But I would play around with it, middle of stance is more than feesible.

    how is this related to the hands forward at impact , it seems like two different things, I'm trying to figure out? I see one where the hands are returned to the setup position and the other are in the line of compression and released quickly.

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I get what you’re saying and you’re right, they’re more than one way to release and when to release, it all depends how the golfer swings and what needs to be layered. Some need an earlier release so the feel is to match up, others need to feel more handle forward to get neutral.

    Warren, great video thanks! A question though… I struggle with length (particularly with the woods) and have found opening the face on the backswing and rolling the face over through impact combined with loose wrists adds an extra lever to help with club head speed. Isn’t your drill going to limit the clubhead speed as it is going through impact based on the rotation speed of your hips and arms without the swishing action of the clubhead turning?? Does the compression aspect compensate for the held off club swinging action? It should work as I think your swing has a lot of John Rahm in it, and he has a short backswing as well. Perhaps his strength and power provides his clubhead speed? Unfortunately most of us aren’t built like him! I look forward to your response. 🤔

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I agree with you, having hinge in the backswing I would advocate, which I have demonstrated and explained a lot in previous videos, and I would always swerve towards that type of hinge and then release action. This is just another slant on getting lag and compression in a slightly different way. So if you’re able to have hinge and natural length because of that, I would always recommend that. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to give me the question and I hope it helps. Many thanks and wishing you all the best. Warren

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you, it’s just a different slant on the pre shot drill, it’s not for everybody that’s for sure. I think with the pre shot drill with a neutral clubface there’s a element of other factors to get the club back to square, release being one (which I would always encourage) but this one can be a way to get the ball flight down very quickly. Just throwing some different feels out there. Thanks for the message 👍

    This modified Faldo preset is something I’ve used for decades… but it’s So Hard to replicate in a full swing. Here’s the thing… when you do the preset and swing further back to a full swing ( like Faldo did) the position at the top is incredible… and the downswing becomes totally automatic… everything feels .. right. Try it Warren… if you are new to it, take it a step further and report how the feel at the top differs to your normal swing. But there is no doubt.. it’s a must do drill. Many thanks.

    Hi Warren, In your video titled "How to stay down with these 2 simple drills" you mentioned there are many reasons why golfers step away from the ball or stand up - could you please explain what these reasons are. Many thanks

      Mainly it’s an outside path coming down, so to get the club back to the ball the golfer would no doubt early extend and have to lift up to create room. As well as tilting. Hope this helps
