    At 8:30 and 8:52, your club shaft is perfectly aligned with your right forearm. Every golfer on the planet should watch this video and practice it!! Another good drill to do on that SLOW swing is to stop at impact. The tendancy is not to turn enough and leave the clubface open, then you just turn more to close the face. It gives you a real viual as to how you MUST turn also, not just use your arms. Another GREEAT video!

      Thank you so much Fenton and I agree with you, getting the club tracking down the right forearm is one of the holy grails.
      Really appreciate the message and feedback, it’s really kind of you.
      Take care

      Hi Robert,
      It really is one of my favourite exercises, and like I said one that a lot of tournament professionals do away from public eyes.
      I hope it will help.
      Many thanks

    Greetings from Royal Lytham Warren. I think your videos are absolute gold.....practical content allied to impeccable presentation. The great John Jacobs would be proud of you. Personally, thanks to your videos I've improved my ball striking and consistency. Many thanks Warren and all the very best to Trev!

    Now this solved my problem with collapsing at the top of the backswing. Get that right arm out and a more complete twist of the body. Thanks.

      Hi Pete, I couldn’t have put it better. Having some width can really have an affect on downswing etc.
      Thanks for the feedback and glad it was of some use.

    Thank you for posting this. I was attempting a right wrist only drill to achieve lag then expanding that into a fuller swing that I saw on a video someone else had posted and it completely wrecked my swing. I;m not saying that method doesn't work, just that it didn't work for me. Your drill and explanations here are much better and more suitable to me and make much more sense.

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Many thanks for commenting. I’m glad you were able to identify it as not being the right thing to do, too many just keep going and it’s harder to get back, but sometimes trying something that doesn’t work builds up more knowledge about your own swing. Well done for that and glad the video helped.
      Regards

    I was watching a slow motion video of Tiger and noticed his right elbow stays tucked but then lifts off and releases right before hitting the ball. These instructors always say to keep it tucked and it gives the wrong impression that you need to keep it tucked even through impact so it's nice to see a video explaining this the right way

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Many thanks, it really is dependant on the golfer, the majority need this type of release.
      That’s where the viewer on any generic coaching has to be careful. They have to know their fault and what to watchZ
      Many thanks for taking the time to message.
      All the best.

    Hogan talks about hitting as hard with his right hand as his left (I’m right handed). Are you doing this in the drill?

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To a point, it’s important to release on a correct plane, and if you do that you can release pretty much as hard as you can with the hands (not shoulders) as he described with the ‘3right hands’ feeling he talked about.
      Many thanks for the message.
      Kind regards

    Hi warren, great video again, just tried to book a half day lesson for myself and a friend, they said you were giving up golf 🙈😩 I’ve only just found your videos, is it possible to get in before you totally stop as your video No more back pain really resonated with me 🙏🙏

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Keith, many thanks for trying to get in touch. Unfortunately I am leaving Chestfield and have been away from the club for the past couple of months due to personal reasons, and will be until the end of November when I leave. I will continue to do the channel though just will be slightly different. Best way is to send a video of your swing to me from behind and front and I will dona swing analysis, i know it’s not the same as face to face but it might help. It something I would like to do in the future so atm I’m doing them as a first come first serve for no charge, can send in academy fb or insta.
      Thanks Keith

    Is that drop, the arms dropping, or shoulders turning thanks Warren from New Zealand

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Garry,
      Hope NZ is looking a bit better than here in the UK atm!
      I would say it is my hands and arm dropping more than shoulders, especially during the slow-mo swings.
      Hope that helps and any thoughts please buzz them over.
      Regards
      Warren

    Whenever these swings are shown on the GEARs program the right arm moves different than that, flying at the top of the backswing and havig a big gap from the body in the downswing, for example with Rory McIlroy. I think that's one reason I dislike GEARs so much, as it looks so wrong.
