Which bombers used those seats shown at 1:53? It's hard to find the story on those.

I was going to do something very similar to what you did for my old willys jeep! I ended up finding some old bucket seats and putting them in instead.

It's probably not something I would do for a vehicle I was going to spend hours riding in, but for an around town hot rod it should do the trick.

Very cool. Constructive criticism.....dimple die holes all oriented same direction. It does look better on side view the way you have them pointed in, but from the front that backer piece has them facing out. Also, I wonder if the sides protruding in will make them uncomfortable against your body, and possibly accelerate wear on the cushions?

Thanks. I went back and forth on the orientation, unusually for me, form beat function lol. I'm pretty skinny, so I come no where near the dimples on the side. The one thing that does need attention, is the exposed edges of the aluminum plate on the sides do need some sort of rubber trim to get rid of that hard edge. One day....

@@ScrapValue I had the same observation for comfort. The “original” bomber seat you showed, has the dimples flared out. The next driver may not be as skinny. Otherwise, a great idea, and execution.
