My dad bought a Nissan Armada in 2005, we had it for 5 years, then dad replaced it with the 2010 Armada, which we had for 7 years, we sold it in 2017. In 2020 my dad passed away, now 2021 I’m looking into buying an Armada again, to continue the legacy
Actually I like that they don't jump on the train of redesigning every year just for the sake of it. I always liked Nissan for doing it right the first time and for not rendering my car "last gen" a year after I bought it.
Rented one for a trip to the Rockies, definitely king of the road. Unbelievable torque, hauls this big boy up and over any mountain without even letting the wife know I’m going 100mph. Cars trying to keep up, but get left in the dust. I averaged 25mpg highway while driving it like it was stolen.
I own a 2019 armada and I love it Very comfortable. It reminds me of When cars were full size, the ride is incredibly smooth for an SUV. I test Drove the Tahoe and the Expedition And honestly they felt cheap.
@@hastensavoir7782 nope. Nissan is more plush and yacht-like compared to the expedition. I prefer the Nissan. The quality is better in the Nissan. Everything is just tighter construction and plusher ride. And like someone else mentioned, it's essentially a Patrol sold on the US market. Only the differentials are different in the US (sadly). Expedition rides much more like a pickup truck. It's still smooth but compared to the Armada you'll be bouncing more harshly over road imperfections.
Wretched Rider that’s both a pleasant surprise (for the Nissan Patrol) and a disappointment (for the Expedition) since the Ford is new and Nissan is 10 yrs old. Nissan’s HBMC seems to have aged well. They did a great job for the facelift and modernized the aging center console. for the next gen I would want a legit 3rd row and a V8 diesel similar to LC’s.
When we bought our pathfinder this past summer, we looked at one of these. We loved it all in all but even at 6'1" it's a high climb into the driver's seat. Other than that we both really enjoyed it.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my login password. I would love any tips you can give me

Great review bro 👍 (Sorry my English is not good) I have own this car since 2014(the same design). It is amazing In Saudi Arabia we call this car nissan patrol and we have this design since 2010 and it comes with v8 5.6 , v6 4.0 now in 2020 we have the new facelift of the car and u can see it on the internet. We used to have nissan armada but it is a different car and it has stopped few years ago. It is amazing to see how our markets are different and i am glad to see these differences within your videos so keep going.
I drove at 2019 Patinnum from SA Texas to Cincinnati Ohio. Love, Love, Loved it. It’s almost time to purchase my next vehicle this one is in First place.
The thing I like about this thing is the 390 hp and all that torque...I’ve driven one of these from enterprise end put 2500 miles on it in 6 days. I actually extended the rental for 2 days just to mash that accelerator down, I was outrunning eco boosts, hemis, and gms and munching on cars. It’s a sleeper and a bit of a gem. With a magnuson super charger it will be a beast. Now the cons, it’s ugly, and the tech looks dated. I’d get a cheap one just for the engine....but not new
Just bought a 2020 SL Armada...love it! Only thing I wish it had is CarPlay...also it doesn’t have Retained Accessory Power which keeps the radio on until you open the front door. Other than that I love it. The V8 is so smooth and powerful!
I live in UAE and the refreshed version is out here. New thing for the refreshed Patrol is the dual screen infotainment system (same like in Infiniti Q50) and you can get diamond quilted brown leather too. (FYI, you can get a Nismo version too, which has 532HP 5.6L VK56DD V8!) LMAO the problem with Nissan's GCC division is that the redesigned models released in US, they appear here in GCC after 10 months, which sucks. The Nissan Versa, which is called Nissan Sunny here, the redesigned model hasn't arrived. (When the redesigned model comes out, give the Versa nameplate). But still, loved the video and smashed the like button! Keep makin' more, Joe!
For 2020 Infiniti updated the interior of the Qx80, it has the dual screen layout like the Qx50. Also Infiniti updated their key fobs for 2020 model year.
This is for those who are thinking about getting a Nissan Armada. I’m 6’2 so this a large mans perspective. I’m currently in possession of a 2019 SL. It’s a beautiful truck and gets a lot of attention when it pulls up. It very powerful but is horrible on gas. I mean roughly 12mpg around town. The seats aren’t very supportive, they sit too high, lack whiplash support, and don’t slide back far enough for comfortable leg room. The highway ride is floaty and the steering is very lite. The arm rest is also low so it can be a bit uncomfortable on long trips. I’ve come to the conclusion that this a short persons large SUV. If you’re 5’9 or shorter everything I complained about as far as comfort is pretty much nonexistent. I also have an F150 and Jeep Grand Cherokee and both are light years ahead in comfort and ride quality in my opinion. The armada can carry more people and is more bang for your buck. If Nissan could give it more comfortable seats better legroom i believe it would sale a lot more.
I want one but the fuel mileage is why I haven't purchased one yet. I've seen the new platinum ones for 50,000. My 80,000 18 wheeler gets 8 mpg so 12 is a damn shame.
I’ve driven it a few times as rental...it’s a bit behind the times but it’s comfortable, drives large, and you sit high up with a commanding view of the road but that V8 has some serious horsepower
I own a 2011 Platinum edition. Over 120K miles and still going strong. I love the old design, I hate that they took away being able to open the glass on the the cargo door. I’m looking for a new SUV and really love what Cadillac has done with the new Escalade. I don’t think I can wait for the next Armada redesign. I used to love the QX80 but hate the new design also.
Nice review The Armada is the best SUV being made Mine is a 2010 with 126,000 trouble free miles Just waiting for the 2021 to arrive and buy another but keeping my 2010 The newer than 2015 Armadas lost some space and 3rd row sears dont go down to full flat and lost the step to enter the rear and lost the pedal adjustments But they gained more electronic nannies mor touch screen gizmos so it is up to you My favourite Armada is the 2015 platinum 4wd Also It is ...."should have gone".....not " should have went"....fyi

I was waiting for my mom to buy the 2019 Nissan Rouge and i sat in one of these bad boys (a fully optioned 2020 platinum reserve) the whole time, and almost fell asleep. It was infiniti level luxury and was an amazing vehicle. Heated and cooled seats, and it should be a cadillac competitor. 6 hours of relaxing in it. Love it.
You always make me laugh about all the snack spaces. Makes me wonder what hidden treasures your personal vehicle holds. I imagine that if I were your passenger, and you asked me for something out of one of the storage compartments; food would pop out. Need to change the spare? Ooops! You found the popcorn stash! Wanna adjust the seat? You just found your fingers tangled with Twizzlers! I can only imagine what a huge melted mess everywhere on a hot day with all those stashes... HA!! You need to do a parody video with all your food references! THAT would be hilarious!!!
When you were in the 3rd row you said you were going to zunket because it didn't have USB outlet and that you would need a 5ft usb cord to connect using usb port in the 2nd row...but in the cargo area it as a 12v outlet you can get 12v outlet to usb power cord for passengers in the 3rd row to power their devices..see easy fix...now you have to take 1 zunket back 😁
Another good review. This vehicle is a dinosaur though. I’ll never understand why car companies won’t at least modernize the interior if they want to keep the same exterior design.
I got a 2011 QX56. The thing is awesome. Very comfortable and spacious. I love the Center console. One time I rode from Portland to Eugene and back(2 hour drive 4 hour round trip) in the 3rd row. I’m 5’4 and it was not bad. However I did have to reach back and use the 12 volt behind the 3rd row to charge my phone but a normal cable could reach.
The refresh should be getting the Titan's 9-speed plus heavily upgraded (much needed) navigation/infotainment system. It's actually quite crisp in the 2020 Titan.
We have a 2018 SL and it is great! Traded out 16 Pathfinder on it this last summer and bought the Armada a year old with 25K on the clock for 20K below new sticker. These are.great vehicals but the math IMO does not work to buy one of these new. Basically drive it off the lot and loose 10K!
Yes, I asked a long time ago and after looking at all the competition the Armada is the BIGGEST BANG for your SUV BUCK, so I bought a Pearl White Platinum Armada about 2 weeks ago. I love this BIG very capable Beast, we call it Moby.
@mxmike4714 You're going to love your low mileage Moby, for a big beast it handles well, smooth ride, very comfortable seats, great responsive V8 engine and it's capable AWD/FWD system.
In UAE 2020 got a face-lift But basically its the same i think Nissan waiting for Toyota to release the new generation of land cruiser so they decide what the next move will be
In 2020 for the price, even with discounts, I would never buy this. Yes, it is big and comfortable, and a good engine, but the tech and instrument gauges are severely outdated. If you bought this 6 years ago and still riding around in one today, that makes sense. But to get a 2020? No. They need a refresh to that interior immediately or a new redesign. Looks like they are taking their time and have a Rogue redesign coming at the end of this year, but they need to work on the Armada asap.
The Armada inside looks exactly like my 2019 QX80 in the interior. The farther I get into the video it is almost annoying because it is like am I seeing a armada or qx80.
The armada is the best bang for your buck for quality, reliability and most important budget . . The Same SUV is double the price in the middle east and australia
Wait for the redesign. Why? Look up the 2021 Nissan Patrol. It is the Middle Eastern version of the Armada. I would wait until next year when they might bring a Redesigned Armada.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these in my area. Mostly Fords and Chevy SUV’s. The wood trim is too shiny and plastic looking. Nice review Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
They really need yo bring over the 2020 Patrol's updates. It has new front/rear updates and the new dual display that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
I love this suv, I would rather buy this for sure but I wish it had the new transmission as the Titan I'll be ok if they only upgrade the transmission.
Thank you for zonking the ripply leather on the door panel!! I thought I was in the minority - it drives me nuts!!! Otherwise I really love this big beast of a truck
2020 Nissan Patrol in Mid East will soon be 2020 or 2021 Armada. This series 4 Y62 Nissan Patrol/Armada is 10 year old design. The new design's been out since October in the Middle East. Australia got their Series 5 last November. North and South America along with South East Asia should be getting 2020 model 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2020.
At least its a full body on frame with a real transmission. It will suck gas but other then that, its a nice SUV. Lot cheaper then a BMW X7 and will give you just as much luxury.
Does it have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? That feature is essential for most people. You should include in every review whether the vehicle has ACP or AA. Otherwise great review as always.

The Armada inside looks exactly like my 2019 QX80 in the interior. The farther I get into the video it is almost annoying because it is like am I seeing a armada or qx80.
You’re seeing a *Nissan QX80.*
A TH-cam Channel with no name they are almost identical
The armada is the best bang for your buck for quality, reliability and most important budget . . The Same SUV is double the price in the middle east and australia
Its beautiful!!!!! I actually love Nissans
Thanks for letting me share it with you Chris!
The redesign is already out in the Middle East.
It's a refresh I wouldn't call it a redesign. We won't get a redesign in the US until Infiniti changes the QX80 first
AGREED!
Thanks for that info!
Retractable step bars suck, here in the Midwest w/ snow and salt it malfunctions.
Raiti got jokes now, lol!! Love it. $69k might as well get the Infinitiy in my opinion or of course something better for that price
Thanks Jesus for letting me share some laughs with you!
@@RaitisRides anytime Sir, your videos are getting better and better the added humor is a great touch to your videos. Happy holidays Sir
Redesign already? I thought they redesigned it in 2016, making it not as old as their Pathfinder or Rogue or the Armada's competition from Toyota
Almost bought a 2019 new for 48k a few weeks ago.
Oh wow!
Wait for the redesign. Why? Look up the 2021 Nissan Patrol. It is the Middle Eastern version of the Armada. I would wait until next year when they might bring a Redesigned Armada.
Can you review the 2020 Ford Fusion please Joe?!?! BTW, great review!
TY JOE MERRY X MAS I HAVE GREY HAIR NOW FINALY GOT MY ARMADA REVIEW LOL !
I hate that Nissan doesn’t support iPhone like Chevy as far as reading txt or the app layouts etc (hope that didn’t confuse others)
I totally agree with you Tiffany.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these in my area. Mostly Fords and Chevy SUV’s. The wood trim is too shiny and plastic looking. Nice review Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
I am so glad that I could share it with you Larry!
I work near the Nissan headquarters outside Nashville.....these things are all over the place. They must be selling them all to employees
You were a highschool teacher? I bet eating in class wasn't a zonk
iPhone 20 with 36 cameras in the back ..what a legend 😂😂😂
I can’t anymore the food/IPhone jokes 🤣🤣🤣
I appreciate you letting me share the laughs with you!
They really need yo bring over the 2020 Patrol's updates. It has new front/rear updates and the new dual display that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
I totally agree with you!
I love this suv, I would rather buy this for sure but I wish it had the new transmission as the Titan
I'll be ok if they only upgrade the transmission.
I am so glad that you like this one!
The only reason to buy a qx80 is if you want that design but get it under 25k
Thank you for zonking the ripply leather on the door panel!! I thought I was in the minority - it drives me nuts!!! Otherwise I really love this big beast of a truck
2020 Nissan Patrol in Mid East will soon be 2020 or 2021 Armada.
This series 4 Y62 Nissan Patrol/Armada is 10 year old design. The new design's been out since October in the Middle East. Australia got their Series 5 last November. North and South America along with South East Asia should be getting 2020 model 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2020.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
This man says something about those GD RUBBERBAND TRANSMISISSIONS CALLED A CVT that really makes sense at the end of the video😀
FINALLY! Someone who’s saying it need a redesign!
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Patrol has a redesign in the rest of world why not in USA?
At least its a full body on frame with a real transmission. It will suck gas but other then that, its a nice SUV. Lot cheaper then a BMW X7 and will give you just as much luxury.
I totally agree with you!
I test drove one today to check it out and it look very outdated in the inside very disappointed I chose the Ford Explorer instead
So honestly how many times has the Explorer been in the shop since you bought it ??
I’m sticking with my 04 armada
Sounds like a plan!
They will probably upgrade the interior like Infiniti 2020 or like patrol
So, the Armada is an ode to granny, not a bad thing Joe!
This is true!
If u r welling to pay that much for a car are u really worried about gas?
Does it have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? That feature is essential for most people. You should include in every review whether the vehicle has ACP or AA. Otherwise great review as always.
This guy cracks me up❗️😂
This is Nissan Patrol 2019 in the Middle East! And the 2020 one has a new facelift
You are so very right!
Lol love the Casio comment haha
I actually like the interior design even the cd player. lol
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Love it want one just get rid of the 90s interior and I’d buy
I’ve gotta 14 imma wait for a redesign to get a new 1
Good idea!
So when is redesign?
Great vehicle and could be had for $42K with cloth seats. Very impressed
This is so very true!
I actually like the cloth seats
