Hi, love the tutorials they teach so much. Would love to see an episode where you show the most efficient workflow that you have with the least number of nodes connected to get out a render or is that just not your jam and you want everything to be super organized. Amazing series so far!!!
Thanks ! Glad you enjoy the videos :) and good idea, that'd be a cool comparison to see! I usually prefer to find a balance between using fewer nodes, and keeping the setup organized but also easy to "read" and see what is happening. I've found that adding a few extra nodes might not be necessary, but in the longer run it can save time when coming back to the setup after you've forgotten what you did originally. For example, I could probably do a complicated effect all in a single VEX wrangle (so one node), but wanting to change that effect later or repurpose it for different setups would be a challenge. There are definitely some cool tricks you can do with very few nodes, if you plan the nodes out in the right way! So I'll keep thinking and maybe get enough ideas for an entire video :)
You deserve this 🏆
Your tutorials are really valuable for the community ! Your efforts are appreciated, thank you !
thank you! When I was learning, beginner Houdini tutorials were tough to find, so my hope is to help make it easier for new beginners today!
