This video would be helpful if Signia actually allowed their end users to make some of these changes. Having to go to the audiologist to make simple changes like adding or changing available programs is an unsatisfactory approach. When I had some questions about a particular stock program, my audiologist had to call Signia to get me the answer. Signia won’t even give us a list of available programs.

Thank you for your contribution to the field! Very smart work. If you’re open to it, one thing way in which you could improve the result of the streaming EQ adjustment in Connexx is by making sure the peaks from your iPhone EQ line up with those in the settings. While graphically similar, the iPhone EQ goes well beyond 8kHz, which is the limit in the fitting software. For example, your peaks from the iPhone are at 2 & 4kHz, but 4 & 5-6kHz on connexx. Another thing to consider aside from the power of the receiver is your dome size and type. Best response will always require occlusion, which as you mentioned, isn’t always conducive to feeling natural when not streaming. Most will benefit from a single-dome for streaming at a minimum. Hope that’s valuable, and thanks again.

You are amazing, you should go back to do videos.
I didn’t even know my cell phone had an equalizer or the Signia software, very cool!

I’m following your reviews on these aids, are you a user of them? I found it interesting you mentioned the ‘tinny’ sound when listening to music. I tried all levels of the Styletto (3N,5N & 7N) I found a lack of clarity and average performance in noisy environments. As a younger user, I really wanted to love the Styletto’s. They are stylish, different to the traditional looking aids, offered in rose gold & white and had a cool charging case. Aesthetically they were a winner, functionally for me, they were a let down. The high frequency sounds were super tinny and had lots of shrill, it was uncomfortable and affecting my concentration (not sure why or how!!!). I got them adjusted, but this didn’t help, or the audiologist wasn’t able to fit them right. All they did was reduce the volume and this dampened the clarity. They just didn’t work for me and I’ll be returning them.

I’m learning so much from watching your videos, like the EQ option on the IPhone. Thanks!

My Oticon hearing aids have a really fantastic streaming setting. Being an audiophile I would like to use the same type of procedures to get a similar experience when listening to my stereo. My equipment is extremely high end. Is there something we could do for listening to music rather than streaming.

Hi there. Thanks for the video. I just got a new pair of Signia Pure 312 3EX hearing aids. I purchased them on eBay and they were programmed by the seller. The streaming audio as well as speech audio on calls, is extremely tinny and very low volume. Sounds terrible. Can you offer any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have the Phonak Audeo Lumity.. liked the sound quality until I started getting feedback and stuff, then my audiologist applied the feedback cancellation and it screwed up certain tones and pitches,.. i also still feel a bit like im singing into a fan because it gets tinny,.. if im playing a soundtrack in music, it’s generally fine,.. its mote certain tones sometimes or piano notes, etc..what my audiologist tried doing was lowering the high frequency gain, which weakened the sound clarity of speech as well.. Any suggestions? He wants me to try to adjust stuff in my own to see if anything works but ive had no lick with it.. PLEAASSEE HELP..

My mother has a pair of signia s+ hearing aids. The melody it plays when you power one on is playing constantly. Like every few minutes it will kick in, and is very annoying for her
Is there a way to disable the melody?

People shouldn't just get a power receiver to get more low frequency emphasis for music. The receiver should be selected based on the hearing loss.

Thanks. This is very important to me as I am about to buy a pair of Phonak P90 Hearing Aids. I just assumed that Bluetooth hearing aids would be better than ear buds. I have a Galaxy S9+ and can set up Audio profiles which are done with a beep test, the sound is great with provided Samsung earbuds. Now I'm not sure if its worth getting Bluetooth headphones ?

Hey mate, The phonak p90 have one of the best out of the box music quality so don't have to worry about that.

@@HearingTechNews Thanks for that. Now I'm wondering how the P50's would compare to the P90's as I'm not bothered about Tap control just good sound.

@@HearingTechNews Hi Mark, I’m still a bit worried. Would you recommend to order ULtra power heads together with the device. Or try first what they offer me - medium? I’ve tried signia styletto connect 7 and have been disappointed by the music quality, however they couldn’t replace the heads on that device. Would you tell that phonak p p90 with medium head would be amazing without upgrading to a more powerful head?
Also, is there any danger to damage my ear by using more powerful heads than I’ve been told that I should wear?
