These aids are all made for mild to moderate hearing loss where amplification is pretty much the only thing the buyer requires. If a person has serious to profound loss, these will do no good. I actually asked a couple of the companies that sell aids of this type (Jabra and the ones powered by Bose), if they would help at all with my type of loss. Both replied almost immediately saying that their aids would do me no good, which I knew, but I appreciated their honesty. You need to caveat your video with the fact that patients with serious to profound loss should go to a professional audiologist to get properly diagnosed and fitted with programmable aids in order to benefit from them. If they buy based on your “recommendations” (which I’m sure you got paid for), they’re wasting their money.
Good take on this subject friend, thanks for the heads up. I also suspected that these were not going to be useful, for my mother. I am glad I decided to look at the comments. I was about to be inquiring about the BOSE set, before I read your comment. So many thanks.
I spend on the average 8-10k on hearing aids yearly. I have to keep on going back for the expert adjustments a few times a year. All that wasted time just to be scammed.
@@juanitataylor4398I’m interested in hearing your experience. Every time I go for my checkup or adjustment, it’s the hearing booth ( not negotiable ) and at least $250 not covered by insurance. I was thinking that’s the norm. This was the case with 3 doctors I’ve been with.
@@A1rsoftKid My hearing test at Costco was more extensive than at my Previous Audiologist Office. I am currently planning to get Costco Enhance Pro 20 in the next few weeks (need to setup an appointment). I have used premium Phonak, Siemens, Oticon, and Audigy... and all were about the same quality and clarity as the Costco offered premium sets (my current Costco hearing aids are actually top line of Phonak series). I chose my previous Audiologist office because they offered in-house warranties and checkups w/o charging for adjustments. Costco does not have additional charge after I bought my last pair (checkup, adjustments, repair-warranty); I just need to setup an appointment. The Costco Audiologist even noted after ~2 years, my left receiver was degrading and replaced it free (warranty) and even noted I should have all checked before the warranty expires. I hope that helps.
I have a pair of Signia 7AX hearing aids and they work well with my cell phone. The calls come through the hearing aids. as well as the TV. the connectivity is through blue tooth.
This is a terrible list of 'hearing aids.' No wonder consumers have a tough time navigating the world of hearing aid technology with nonsense like this around. Firstly they're not hearing aids, they're OTC hearing aids, and secondly, it's just a sales pitch for your affiliate links. Shame on you.
Good on you for standing up for what you know is just not right. advertising like this has probably caused a trillion dollars to be wasted on all corners of the sales markets.
Only analog ones, buddy. No one sell them anymore, but Chinese (like laifa k18s). Digitals are not quality music listening oriented. They just help you to solve the conversation stage issue.
I purchased their # 1 Earcentric hearing aid. I have tried several OTC hearing aids and the Earcentric has the most volume but not the clearest sound. My left hearing aid stopped turning off when I mashed the power button about 2 months after the warranty ran out. I would look elsewhere.
I am 82 yrs old, severe hearing loss, I purchased Re sound key 498 DW SP BTE, 6 months ago from Delhi India. Please help me to get better results, whome / where shall I contact
Truly, I am an unlucky person on this earth. I need a hearing aid. But I can't buy it now I'm in exile in Germany. Even though I asked the government, they told me that my insurance doesn't cover it. It really hurt me. I couldn't go to school. I cut myself off from people. I have no money to buy it. I wanted to work and they denied me permission. How can I buy it?😥😥😥. My hearing level is 40 decibels in my right ear. I only want one. Can anyone help me??
3:58 - Here's an idea: How about paring down the flashes of B roll and focusing more on images of the hearing aids instead of waves, people smiling on a beach, or someone hiking in the mountains. One more suggestion: Telling me what some product is "designed to do" does not tell me whether or not you tested it to see if it does. All this marketing blather means you have zero credibility as a source of consumer information. This video is just a 10 minute ad. As far as I'm concerned this channel is "In-valid Consumer." No like. Bye!
any way to use hearing aids with computer or smart tv, i would prefer to use them vs using them with blue tooth head phones at the same time to connect to those devices. I was told - OTC hearing aids with blue tooth use the standard blue tooth that everything basically will see and pair with is this true vs the prescription hearing aids i have suck, stupid proprietary blue tooth makes them really useless for me, they dont pair with any blue tooth at all other then thru thier branded app for my cell phone. these companies are stupid people use more then cell phones all day and need hearing aids for other stuff, computer or tv, in the car for calls etc where is all that

We're being scammed in many more ways than just hearing aids, if you pay attention and most people are not, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Suggest going to Costco. Have had GREAT experience and budget friendly
