My son has been home-schooled since covid ended. The first year back he was going into Middle School 6th grade for the first time. He missed 50 days that year and they held him back. His repeat of 6th grade he missed 70 days. The amount of anxiety he had we couldn't get him out the door. So we started homeschooling. Now he's fallen behind and does not want to do any work. My wife and I are at a loss and are constantly worried and fighting about what to do. We are making no Headway. We are scared. I just wanted to say thank you for these videos. They are really helping

I'm really sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with your son. Do you think he'd be open to working with a coach?

There is plenty of profession literature suggesting the need for a coach at certain critical life stages.

This video assumes too much about coaching teens.
If the kids go to their parents, they don't need coaching.
If that's not working, the relationship should be fixed. The teen ahould be coached towards trusting their parents and the parents coached so they are parenting better, God willing.
The coach shouldn't be the solution because the parent teen relationship is so important and should be fixed if at all possible. That's what I think, Daniel..
