What is you don’t have a USB or SD is there a another to turn on your computer to make it work
You will need to use a USB flash drive or SD to re-install the OS, if the OS has been corrupted.
My Chromebook can't show boot menu esc+🔄 restart + power button and ctrl+d no option working.

hello once I did this everything was going smoothly. Then it said to plug out the USB and it would restart so I did that and ever since then, my Chromebook has started flashing a grey and black screen.
i am sorry to hear that. This method works if the drive is good, but the OS is missing or damaged. If the drive itself is damaged then it may not be able to restore the OS as the hard or solid state drive is not working physically.
I did everything like you said and like everybody does. But it keeps coming back to the logo

What do I do if I don’t have a usb
You can use a MicroSD or a USB stick. You will need some media i.e. USB stick o hold the Chrome OS to reinstall it on to the Chromebook.
Can i use pendrive instead of usb drive?
Yes.
another way is the EMMC/SSD running the OS has failed, on older chromebooks you can simply replace the ssd/HDD then reinstal chrome os using the recovery media and that will work

SOLUTION WITHOUT A USB: hold esc and refresh keys and press power on, press ctrl + d repeatedly like 20 times and then hold it for 10 seconds, and then close the screen (don’t just press the power button). wait 10 seconds and then open it back up and it should be up and running
That will work only if the data on the storage is not too far corrupted. But, Thank you for the alternative method.

what message do you have? Most will give a web address address to download the OS onto a flash drive.

I am sorry to hear that, this does work, as we use this in my class. You say you used USB keys? I am not sure what you mean. You should use a USB flash drive 8gb or larger.
The problem is that the chrome os is missing eventually comes back again even after doing all these steps. I must have a hardware issue.
The internal storage device may be defective.

@@kifley19 I do have a few videos on how to do that. each model is different. There are some that allow you to simply upgrade the storage. You need to open it up and see which storage type it has installed already.

What size USB drive are you suing for the OS recovery? In class that was the weakest link in my observations.

It may be a problem with the USB jump drive. In class, we used a half dozen USB jump drives and I discovered that 2 failed to have the OS on them, because it was corrupted on the USB jump drive. So... in your situation, do you have another jump drive to use?
This literally just happened to me just now.
I click on one of the ads on TH-cam and my laptop just blacked out and when I tried to turn it on.

The chromebook recovery utility just makes a usb full of worthless crap that doesn't get recognized by the chromebook when you plug it in. My advice is that once you're done spending a day pretending that it's actually possible to fix what is now your new "miniature TV tray with a flip up splash guard" by following the out of touch google instructions that never work; simply chuck it in the can and make the switch to linux and don't look back. Then get a de-googled phone.
No. We do this method in my computer class. It is meant to create a USB OS recovery that works. I am sorry that you are having difficulties.
