kayla just use the blue swatches on things if you want. it doesn’t matter if it’s a meme or overused. it’s your build and you should be more confident w your choices bc when you freely build it’s amazing!

i would love this too. like tiny-home stuff but more shabby and kitschy. like faded floral furniture and small beat up coffee tables, and those tacky beautiful wall sculpture things our grandmas had in 1978. love it.
if there was a solid wood square version of the tiny coffee table that came with high school years i would use it in every build lol. i love the style of the recent basement kit, and the werewolves pack. i just want mooooorrreee!

Hot take: that top right part of Strangerville has the best lots to build on. The default houses deserve to be torn down, so don’t feel bad about doing it. That red rock canyon has some really cool views (and occasional fighter jets in the sky). I challenge Kayla to build something (it can be blue, that’s okay) on Creek Corner Cove or Cliff Side Crest, two of my favorite lots.
My biggest gripe with Strangerville: no red rock terrain paint to match the world 🙁
10:27 no, a trailer (really, single wide) of that size would need to be towed by something much more substantial, like a 3500 class dual axle truck on a gooseneck hitch - or even a full “big rig” and oversized trailer. You being from Florida I’m shocked you don’t understand this, but you are from the Mickey Mouse part 😜
I love Strangerville. It's one of my favorite spots to build on, I'll sometimes power through the story so I can change the important pre-set lots to be other things. I make the library more of like a city hall with a cafe and bookstore. I like to turn where the bar is into a restaurant (Diner) + laundromat, and make a little motel where the Sigworths live.
I love building and living in the "fancy" part of Strangerville! And I agree, just bulldoze the EA builds 😂
Seriously, it's a great area. Just gotta bulldoze EVERYTHING first.
Kayla about the trailer wheels, I learned this from James (formly known as thesimsupply) that DitZn the CC creator has a resized version of the debug wheels that fits exactly 32 tiles and doesn't clip! I use it in all of my trailer builds, even though I don't publish them. it's incredibly fun to use to make trailers, food trucks, etc!
if anyone wants to do the shelf trick but you dont have dream home decorator, the empty version of the towel shelf in bathroom accents works too, most small plants and clutter items snap to it! also the fairy lights are usable without the toddler pack if you search sim sessions in the gallery!
Or they're in debug, though your way IS probably easier.

@@caitlinhebron1599 Trust me, without mods the PC debug menu is a nightmare as well. I don't know that it's even much more navigable than the console.

I think the first roof orientation was the way to go. Or rotating the base trailer around. With it being a mobile home, having the low end of the roof towards the trailer hitch has better aerodynamics 🤓🤙

A lot of us with trailers will build little front porches around them! This build is super cute❤
My favorite part of my trailer is the little covered porch. I even put up some chicken wire so my cat could come out and sit with me while I drink coffee.
Quick question, are trailers with porches on them usually on a foundation or are they still on wheels? Big trailers and RVs are rare and expensive in my country, so trailer parks as an affordable housing option aren't a thing at all

Loved this idea and I also love to see your "lilsimsie blue swatches" from time to time, I won't complain about that. 😄💙 But if I would pay attention to having the luxury of two sinks in this tiny space, I may have kept the one in the kitchen and would've used laundry automats in the bathroom instead OR keep the one in the bathroom and used a dishwasher with microwave in the kitchen. Either way, your posts are so inspirational and I thank you for that❣️

Hey, Simsie, just to let you know, when making a build like this, the swatches don't have to match. It's more realistic to have a couple of unmatching or nearly matching swatches here and there, because when you're poor, you don't really have the option to look for stuff that matches. It's usually just function that we look for, and not whether or not it matches the rest of the wood in the room. You could've totally put that coffee table down without worry. That's ok, tho, the build is still super cute, as always. You're so wonderful at building, you make me want to open up the Sims again and build a house from scratch, even though I have no idea how lol 😅
For those interested the toddler stuff fairy lights are in basegame debug.

Honestly it looks more like a mobile Home... which is essentially just a fancier Trailer! And its so so cute! I think I would have used Stones for the part where the Fences didnt reach but I love your take so much
I’m about four minutes into the video and am already looking forward to hearing, “Stanley, can you get into this? Can you use this? Oh no, he can’t…” 😆 Also, but for why is DEATH on the lot? 🤔😅
When I make homes this small, I like to use the loft beds and I also like to only have a kitchen or bathroom sink, but not both. It saves space and I don't have the problem of oh my sim isn't washing dishes in the right place, since there is only one location.
Always fun to see these. Next up for The Sims 4, Apartments/hotels and cars and motorcycles ( I hope, lol). Then after or before all that a trailer park theme pack. Where you can built tent camping, RV camping and chalet/bungalow on. All limit to some 20x30 lots and a bigger lot for the pool, beach, bar, grass and kids play area. And lots for a restaurant or cantina like place and a store or something. And as a career options you can the camping ground owner, a worker, or a ranger in charge of the nature on and around the camping or anything else related to that or maybe something completely different.
I’m hung up on how the roof ends up being less aerodynamic than when she first put it on. For a trailer that will never trail.
I built a cute little basegame trailer months ago before Barbie movie came out. The trailer is pink and mint green which looks really cute. However watching Kayla struggling, I completely forgot how I built my trailer lol!! I know I followed a tutorial for sure tho
oh simsie, when you started trying to get the build onto the trailer i got flashbacks how I tried doing this same thing, I think I got tool mod just because of it and it was still such a pain XD

And they’re endangered, and they only grow in one place in the world! And because they’re endangered, it is illegal to cut them down so people just build around them :) so it totally could have worked, haha!

We have those Murphy beds with a sofa, but what we really need is a foldout couch, or a 3 seater sofa that turns into a single bed and back. Would be great for both tiny homes and accomodating stay over guests.

okay video idea!!! basically you make a house with every item that you get in one color. so, if you chose red you would have to make a house with every red item you can find!!! (or do it with a pack) this can definitely be tweaked as that would be A LOT of items or you can make a mansion. (create a chain)
I would have put the little pool for infants on the little yard (the adults can use it for “relaxing” lol)

As someone with a lot of experience with RV’s and stuff there would be upper cabinets EVERWHERE for storage. So the bed built in is really realistic but would def have even more storage around it!
lifehack for building fake trailers: the kids room wallpaper from parenthood (the ones that are split two colors with a stripe in the middle) work PERFECTLY for the outside, specifically the plainer swatches.

I recommend rolling the Strangerville story into an LP somehow, maybe not this Gen of your big one but someday. Solving the Strangerville mystery would be a great life goal on short lifespan I think and then you could make a real story out of it. I did that G8 and really enjoyed it.

Watched this while I built on this exact lot and trying to find the trailer rig, I was about to go crazy thinking it didn’t exist until I saw you place it lol. Love how it turned out! (Mine definitely embraces the chaos that is Strangerville),
i love that stanely is just in his little bed sleeping as you create a nice home around him that he will never get to live in as he's forced to do several ridiculous tasks to make money for a trashy home lol
If you placed one fence tile outside of the actual fence, you can then grab that fence tile with the little arrow button thing and then you can just move it and hook it onto the rest of your friends and it’ll flush with the rest of the house btw it’s the little 4 point drag and move when you click on the fence I also typed this with the voice thing because I’m driving I’m sorry if any of the spelling is wrong or it doesn’t make sense
I think fondly of the trailer park that came in Belladonna cove in the sims 2 (the apartments expansion pack) that was chef's kiss

One of my most successful builds on the gallery is a trailer park in Oasis Springs, I remember how much time it took me to get the wheels and the room in the exact right place 😂 so fiddely
New challenge unlocked 😁 - build something similar but with the budget of 50 000 simoleons and you need to spend it all. I think it can be fun and not a typical build for Kayla :)

A good way to make money in the sims: wait till autumn, make the gnomes spam those seed and sell all of them, at the end of autumn you sell the gnomes :D

Sweet! I just built a lil trailer starter yesterday. Pink flamingoes and the loungeable kiddie pool in the yard.
You should do variations of buildings at different price points. So a starter home trailer like you have here, and then a super expensive one like the influencers who pretend to be poor for their content have that actually costs like 500,000 bucks

OMG! A build this small, you only need ONE SINK! It's right in front of the bathroom, you don't need a sink in the bathroom, they will use the one in the kitchen. That's space and money saved.
All you need to do is put a flamingo with a few of the flowers from the backyard pack, and a couple of sunflowers from debug.
