I recently got about a 6-7 month old kitten who got left behind in an apartment that someone had abandoned to avoid paying past due rent. I have no idea how long he was there, but he was definitely malnourished, he’s a skittish little guy so i don’t think whoever had him was very nice to him either. I just don’t understand how anyone could abandon a pet. 😕
I am so glad that you took the little guy in! Some people are so thoughtless and maybe even heartless. I am wishing you and your lovely furry baby all the best. ❤
Aw, poor kitty. My dog was also left behind by her previous family, then she spent some time in foster homes before we adopted her. Animals deserve better
My first dog was a pittie that had been abandon by the family who originally owned her. She’d most likely been living under or around the trailer they lived in, until she got caught in a coyote trap nearby looking for food. The worst part is that she’d been pregnant, and gave birth in the trap until animal control found her. She was the best dog.
I haven't been watching all that long but I definitely remember when you'd renovate houses that others had built. Some of my favorite houses (that I still use) were from that. I would love to see more of those. (I think I like them better than the ones where you give them a shell and they have to make something from it.)
aaah Fixer Upper!!! I miss that series sm; this thing of renovations is sooo fun- and the community is super creative!! I loved the unhinged descriptions and explanations the most
Seeing the house in its former glory right next to the abandoned version is honestly kinda sad and beautiful. I hope the new modern homeowners keep a lot of the charm!
A tip for Frankie and the kittens is to take blankets from your sister and your parents and put them in the cat room so they get used to their smell and likewise take blankets from your place to theirs to make your parents and sisters other pets used to their smell especially if you do this for a good while before the move it will help them all get used to each other when the introductions happen cause they will smell more at home then. Hard to explain and it might sound odd but it really helps. Good luck!
I knew the Sims existed but never played. Then I stumbled across your Fixer-Upper series, and I pretty much binge-watched every episode I could find. That unlocked a new special interest in the Sims. I've had less expensive special interests, but the hubby is happy this one is at least contained and not filling the house with crafting supplies or collectibles. lol
I really appreciate the detail of how you match the fairy lights behind you with the colour of the top you wear for the video. It's in the little details for me. Thanks for the kitty update.
I love the fixer uppers you do, Kayla! They're so fun to watch and very satisfying, getting all of the old gunk out and fixing things up. I hope you stay safe as Hurricane Idalia moves closer to Florida! Make sure to stay weather aware and have a place to go if it gets a bit nasty. I'd recommend watching Ryan Hall Y'all as he will be livestreaming coverage of the hurricane as it makes landfall. Stay safe ❤️
So first of all, love hearing about the cats! I'm also cat-obsessed. I also have the same problem of putting nectar cellars into every build I do. I've had to stop myself a few times, but it's just so much fun!
Simsie talking about how cats is taking over her life is so real, i love cats so much. My drawings are cats my social media is cats my video games are cats i have two cats my life IS cats
For the last week ive been playing a modified rags to ritches in this house and its been so much fun!! I assigned price value for clearing or cleaning parts of the house. 100sm for large furniture 50 sm for small furniture or a pile of trash or a mouse hole, 25 for scratches or dirt, 500 for lot traits removed etc. And its been an absolute blast. Im not allowing my sim to work a proper job so hes a fisherman by trade and doing work for the bagly townspeople and selling crops. He just started woodworking (that bench was a huge investment!) Its been so much fun to work hard and have to scrounge up money for renevations! I just finally got his kitchen fully remodeled and he burned the dang thing down immediately XD Thank you simsie for this awesome build to play in!!
i found kayla’s channel when she first started doing fixer upper wayyyy back when she was in high school and i remember coming home from school myself and watching her videos and talking about her day in school lol! also its so weird to hear her talking about the hurricane as i sit eating dinner and watching the rain from the hurricane from the living room window! 😭
I very much remember fixer upper even though I still consider myself a new fan but I remember so many of the old memes and I love watching the old videos like the Susan stories and little Kayla in Highschool who I sadly relate to a lot but as you’ve said you’re very much like a big sister who can be a role model and show how much you can grow and that I’ll get through it all thank you so much for being here for all of us ❤
I’ve been here since the fixer upper days (except on a different account) I’ve grown up with this channel and it’s so nice to see this series (kind of) come back
I loooved the fixer uppers! Its so crazy to me that ive been just watching your videos for such a long time, like i watch them every morning like clockwork and they are just so special to me. You are special!
Fixer Upper was amazing, I've been since Simsie had 5k subs so im quite an OG, and I used to love watching Kayla renovate houses on fixer upper so i'm glad she brought it back!
I ADORED the fixer-upper series literally so much, it was nice to kind of revisit it with you, Kayla :) Would you consider doing a reboot if you had fun with this build? Also, I live in North Central Florida, Near UF, and I'm staked out at my boyfriends house :'3 I made plans to hang out with him post-hurricane & now i'm 40mins away from home, and wont be back until friday moring. I'm quite literally in the eye of the storm jaja. Stay safe, Kayla; Im keeping you &&& the kitties in my thoughts.
Cats are really very good at finding safe hiding places in a storm. I wouldn't worry unless you're looking at an evacuation situation, in which case I'd try to be prepared with enough/ big enough cat carriers, extra cat provisions ready to go. Sending safe storm season thoughts! Please do more fixer uppers, too!
I totally understand your fear of the animal/storm situation!! I also currently have five cats and live in the Midwest, so bad weather, like tornados, is pretty common. My family just keeps all of their crates made instead of broken down in storage, and they're off in the spare bedroom. But yes, it's very stressful to grab five cats during bad weather 😭😭 I have cried on multiple occasions
Did anyone else understand the concept of the “old/new” house in the first 10 seconds and then just sit smiling at how endearing the excessive explanation was 😂
As a person who lives in a state where tornadoes happen all the time in the spring I feel for you when it comes to really bad weather. I have 6 cats and I get VERY anxious and scramble when a tornado is close by. I hope you stay safe from the hurricane and that everyone else dealing with it stays safe too!
i miss the fixer upper series so much!!! i was thinking that maybe us viewers could fix up the old outdated one, and try and make it better! (sadly, i don't have the proper packs to do so, but i still think it would be so much fun!)
I feel like, especially since you have a history degree, it would be cool to do builds diving into places built inspired by different points in history. like 1850's louisianna, or 1980's vermont. Diving into the different kind of family dynamics are architectural styles of the time, I think you'd have a blast
You're so creative in both your builds and your storylines for your Sims and the stories you have for your builds. I love what you did here. Stay safe and I hope you don't lose power or anything. Those kitties are very cute.
I actually had no problem following your story-telling of the timelines, so no worries there! I think it was very clear and understandable. I'm excited for the next part in this series. I'd love to see more fixer uppers, like you also did in House Flipper.
it’s insane to me to think about how much the channel has grown over the years. i started watching right after island living came out! it’s so cool to see a great creator grow 🩵
I absolutely loved the fixer upper series! I still enjoy going back and watching them again, and hoping that one day you'd bring the series back!! So I was so happy to see this video up
I loved the fixer upper series!!! so so glas to see you doing something like it again and would love to see a potential retuen of you doing fixer upper!!!!
omg i used to love fixer upper! i’ve been watching your videos almost everyday since my sophomore year of high school and i just started my senior year of college today!!!
I began following you because of fixer upper!!! After following you for a couple years I caved and bought the game and now I’m forever obsessed!!! Would love if you brought back that series!!
I miss the old fixer upper videos! I always wanted to make one for you and especially now with the basement treasures kit…some nasty fixer uppers can be made!
10:23 Wish you the best and hopefully these hurricanes won't be so bad. Where I live there aren't any hurricanes so I can't imagine how bad are they but I'm sure it is horrible
Honestly, being born and raised in Florida; hurricane party. WOO! Also we ran from Hurricane Charley in 2004 to Orlando and it followed us. Mom eventually woke us up, and we jumped into my ex-stepdad's truck and went home at 12am during said hurricane. Was great. Side bar; this isn't to freak you out.
I really miss your Fixer Upper series, that is what made me subscribe! but this one is so cool with a neat twist. Love the 3 versions of one build idea and would love seeing other build styles - this is farm house but what about others like blue suburban or modern or brownstone
This idea is good for a legacy type of gameplay or challenge mixed in with fixer upper, in which their is a first generation house, the second generation moves out and player has to turn the first gen house into an abandoned house and wreck it after 1st gen dies, and then finally 3rd generation moves back to the abandoned house and has to renovate it. In this case since you started with the abandoned house maybe one can start with the abandoned house and keep it in their gallery for later used, do the restoration to start the challenge, switch to the the saved abandoned house in the middle and finally do the renovation.
i was just thinking abt fixer upper last night as well as speed build sunday (or someday lolol), this makes me feel so nostalgic for your channel! i've been subscribed since your generations let's play 😭 i loved this
when I was a kid, we moved from the countryside back to the city, and my mom literally just. left our guinea pigs and bunnies behind. there's a good chance one of our farmer neighbors took them in, but I still feel SO BAD. This version of the house is a couple of owners before it got abandoned. That’s why there are some other changes or different things from the first build

i can proudly say i was here during the fixer upper times. i started watching you some time during the start of the 100 babies all though i never watched the series!
I loved the fixer upper series so much as soon as school got out I remember I would run off the bus to the family computer 💖💖 I hope you do it again sometime !!
I miss the fixer upper series! This is like my dream video, where simsie is kind of bringing that concept back!
Me too! 😊🩷
Same!
Same here
samesies, wish Kayla would bring it back
agreed! i love story lines like this too
Might as well call this series R, R, and R.
Rewind, ruin, restore lol
Blow this comment up so she sees
i love your brain
Marvellous thinking
You mean Ruin,Rewind, Restore since she ruins it before she reminds it.
Restoration vs rennovation is literally all the explaination you need IMO :) Really love this idea!
Petition to bring back the fixer upper series! 💖
Yes! Please!
Yes!!!!❤
Signed lol
k loo um
I recently got about a 6-7 month old kitten who got left behind in an apartment that someone had abandoned to avoid paying past due rent. @@sylvial6880 I definitely hate what he went through, but I’m blessed to have the little Mango! He has his fur-ever home now. ❤️
Aw, poor kitty. My dog was also left behind by her previous family, then she spent some time in foster homes before we adopted her. Animals deserve better
Thank you for saving the little baby ❤❤❤ I got my kitten when she was 2 months, also abandoned and malnourished

Please give us fixer up Tuesday again.. I will love to see it back on a weekly basis.. lilsimsie you are fabulous and I always watch your builds.. ❤
You could consider this version a “ranchgression.”

Stay safe during the storm!! I'm so glad you got the kitties off the street before the storm hit!!
I like the implication that the cat adoption brought about their demise! Also I would love more fixer-upper series like this!
Let's just say Temperance changed the direction of the siding. She's like that!! Might have been Mimsy or Bernard too. Guidry's too cool to do that!
I knew the Sims existed but never played. Then I stumbled across your Fixer-Upper series, and I pretty much binge-watched every episode I could find. That unlocked a new special interest in the Sims. I'd love to see this become a recurring series. It's so cool to watch how the build changes
i think it's very honourable how much you care about Frankie and her kittens well being
I love the fixer uppers you do, Kayla! They're so fun to watch and very satisfying, getting all of the old gunk out and fixing things up.

All the dang gnomes came to life and attacked me on the first harvest fest so in vengeance I gave them out to Townes at the following Christmas! 😂

This video series kinda reminds me of those renovating mansion puzzle games 😆😆 (in a good way ofc)
Good luck with the hurricane! I hope you’re all ok! I’m so glad those kitties aren’t in the storm drain rn! You saved their lives in so many ways! ❤
I remember the fixer upper days. That’s when I started watching you. They were always fun to watch while relaxing after a school day.
This makes me realize how much I miss the fixer upper series. The Susan stories and the wii music were so iconic.
I’ve been here since the fixer upper days (except on a different account) I’ve grown up with this channel and it’s so nice to see this series (kind of) come back
I think restore is a good word because you're "restoring" it to its former self. Renovation is more changing things to suit one's personal tastes 😂
I loooved the fixer uppers! Its so crazy to me that ive been just watching your videos for such a long time, like i watch them every morning like clockwork and they are just so special to me. You are special!
Please be very careful with the hurricane, I hope everything goes well. Best of luck and all is well with you, Dan and the kitties.
Fixer Upper was amazing, I've been since Simsie had 5k subs so im quite an OG, and I used to love watching Kayla renovate houses on fixer upper so i'm glad she brought it back!

I remember watching the fixer up series when I was 13! crazy that you've been doing this for so long lol
Hearing you talk about the fixer upper series in past tense is crazy. I used to watch every single one
Hope you stay safe in the storm! Also im all for fixer upper coming back!!! I love all of your builds! ❤
Did anyone else understand the concept of the “old/new” house in the first 10 seconds and then just sit smiling at how endearing the excessive explanation was 😂
I remember binge watching fixer upper every afternoon when I came home from school! I would love it if it came back in some way :')
This mini series is SOOOO good! Actually, anything by Lilsimmie is awesome! Kayla's so good at building!
Fixer upper series were my fav back in the days!! I loved watching the builds while u talked like in a podcast it was very soothing
I love this idea, it's so fun to watch you explore different build styles/years with one home!
I remember the fixer upper videos, I used to fell asleep to them, cuz I loved how you told a lot of diferrent stories! I really miss them
Your lighting without the overhead light looks great, actually. And more sewer cat content is always appreciated.
I miss fixer upper! I love this little series, it's like a throwback to fixer upper. Petition to bring it back!
i miss the fixer upper series so much!!! i was thinking that maybe us viewers could fix up the old outdated one, and try and make it better! (sadly, i don't have the proper packs to do so, but i still think it would be so much fun!)
Fixer upper is what originally made me watch lil’simsie! It’s so funny to see her go back and do this years later.
i was here in the fixer upper times. i also very like the "let me chat about my life while the speed build is on" type of videos.
I feel like, especially since you have a history degree, it would be cool to do builds diving into places built inspired by different points in history. like 1850's louisianna, or 1980's vermont. Diving into the different kind of family dynamics are architectural styles of the time, I think you'd have a blast
I would SO listen to a LilSimsie podcast like for real that would be highkey awesome content!!
I’m honestly obsessed with this build I think it’s one of her best and I love all her builds !
You're so creative in both your builds and your storylines for your Sims and the stories you have for your builds. I love what you did here. Stay safe and I hope you don't lose power or anything. Those kitties are very cute.
Fixer Upper was the first series I found you from! I miss your fixer upper builds. I loveeeee you and your builds
This is a really cool idea, and I didn't find it confusing lol. Just fun. Can't wait to see part 3!
I love this! Love that you made a storyline too! This would be such a cool series. Also this house is sooooo nice
I love your storytelling! And its fun to follow this new series of fixer upper :)
I actually had no problem following your story-telling of the timelines, so no worries there! I think it was very clear and understandable. I'm excited for the next part in this series.
I'd love to see more fixer uppers, like you also did in House Flipper.
I looove this concept! Making me want to renovate my first Sims house, cause this is beautiful.
it’s insane to me to think about how much the channel has grown over the years. i started watching right after island living came out! it’s so cool to see a great creator grow 🩵
I loved fixer upper ,that’s the series that made me love this channel obviously I still love it but that’s what got me hooked on lilsimsie
i’ve been here since the very first fixer upper! crazy how far you’ve come Kayla!
i am so happy to see this next part of the series!! i’ve been looking forward to it :)
I absolutely loved the fixer upper series! I still enjoy going back and watching them again, and hoping that one day you'd bring the series back!! So I was so happy to see this video up
I loved the fixer upper series!!! so so glas to see you doing something like it again and would love to see a potential retuen of you doing fixer upper!!!!
pls simsie come back with the fixer upper saga 😭
omg i used to love fixer upper! i’ve been watching your videos almost everyday since my sophomore year of high school and i just started my senior year of college today!!!
Cant wait to see the results its been so long since i have watched one of your videos ❤
I very much miss the fixer upper days and would be more than happy to see it back

This is such a fun series- I'd love to see more of this!
i was just thinking abt fixer upper last night as well as speed build sunday (or someday lolol), this makes me feel so nostalgic for your channel! i've been subscribed since your generations let's play 😭 i loved this
Out of a trilogy, this is the much-needed prequel! Essential backstory
when I was a kid, we moved from the countryside back to the city, and my mom literally just. left our guinea pigs and bunnies behind. there's a good chance one of our farmer neighbors took them in, but I still feel SO BAD. I could never imagine leaving a pet behind like that. they're family! the least you can do is find them a good new home and give them time to adjust before you move
If you found her near Libra dorms or the 64 south restaurant by the MSB, there are always lots of feral and semi-tame cats around there
The fixer upper series was so fun to watch!
Bring back the fixer upper days! I loved those videos
Good luck during the hurricane Kayla! I'm also in a new house this year, so hopefully there aren't many unforeseen problems. Best wishes from the Tampa bay area
This version of the house is a couple of owners before it got abandoned. That’s why there are some other changes or different things from the first build
I've been watching your videos since the fixer upper days. I loved watching them.
The fixer-upper series sounds so cute
Please continue with your fixer upper serie! Loved that one and misses it a lot =)
I found your channel through Fixer Upper! so this series is like my dream, I never got a build done but I do think I at one point submitted one, towards the end of that series
it gives me X/Pearl vibes, like the og house is the one where young (1910s) Pearl had lived and the distressed one is where old (70s) Pearl lived and Maxine came to shoot her movie
I miss fixer upper so much, it was literally my growing up! I would actually love it if it came back as a series
i can proudly say i was here during the fixer upper times. i started watching you some time during the start of the 100 babies all though i never watched the series!
This is really cute!! I love everything about this and very keen to see the Reno!
I wish that you would do the fixer uppers again. I so enjoyed those.
This is one of my all time favorite lilsimsie build series!
Bring back the fixer upper series that’d be so fun!!💓
I loved the fixer upper series so much as soon as school got out I remember I would run off the bus to the family computer 💖💖 I hope you do it again sometime !!
I love when Kayla talks about the cats because I also constantly talk about my animals I have 3 cats and 2 dogs but 1 of my cats thinks he’s a dog
