@@crutchfield Well, it hasn't helped yet - I haven't tried to install my AVM 70 but hope to take the leap soon. If I call Crutchfield tech support is there a chance I could speak with you? My last experience was not good - I could not get it to connect via WIFI and spent an hour with the tech only to find out later that it is a very common issue with this unit and newbies like myself. I have since purchased an Ethernet cable and hope to try again. I have had the AVM 60 for over six years and, it's probably just me, but, I am very surprised at how difficult basic installation has been with this AVM 70 8K compared to the 60. There are many "how to" videos that are extremely confusing. Hopefully you can help - I have been a Crutchfield customer for many years.

Why is Anthem still not allowing you to calibrate all the subs together, I bought this receiver especially for having 4 subwoofers! Does the Marantz AV10 has the ability to calibrate all four subs at once? Looking to buy a new processor and these two are on my short list!!
All four sub pre-outs are discrete on both the Anthem AVM 90 and the Marantz AV10. When you mention calibrate all four subwoofers at once, are you wanting all four to play exactly the same audio signal together at the same time, or not "discrete"?
Going on four months now since I bought my AVM 70 8K and I am still not ready to hook this thing up. I get extremely anxious and frustrated worrying about getting anxious and frustrated.

Smartphones and iPads and tablets do not have a USB port, which you need for the microphone, sir.
JR mentions in the video (0:15) that a PC or MAC is required for ARC calibration. Tablet and smartphones are only used to enter the IP address (1:18).

It was an AudioQuest Cinnamon series HDMI cable.
