Hi Ironmover, it was shock , we were expecting issues and had next to None, all Maiden teething has been solved, air vents cut to cool the ESC, - it has had a few more flight - I am enjoying it a lot.... Hope all is well - Cheers Martyn
Hi Jeff, as with all maidens it comes with a bit of stress.. this even more so as we were not expecting it to do so well , I have made a few mods and flown it a few more times, its fun.... Cheers Martyn
No real Issues - it needs almost full throttle on turns but you can bring it down to half when level flying, I did take off all the landing gear etc.. and have saved a lot of weight..made a few other mods to cool the ESC's , no further issues it is great as an EDF...

same here and a vid under 12 minutes ( if Martyn's maiden videos don;t go close to 14 minutes or over it's a bad sign!!) i expected at least a repair list!!
the power hog comes to mind for a name Martyn!! a 4S at 3 minutes and only 14% left!!! it flew better than i thought it would and was easy to keep track of which i had doubts on!! i finally got a R/C model ad on here tonight it was motionrc for a tomcat!!!
LOL - I have that one still in the box not even done an Unboxing yet for it..(the new twin 64mm F14)... your right about this one sucking the battery dry - since this flight I have cut air vents into the sides to help cool the ESC's they were bloomin hot !!! Cheers Martyn
@@FlankerTanker oh i don't doubt one bit they were scorching hot aerodynamics is not this one's strong suit!!! this thing makes the F4 phantom look sleek and everyone called it a flying brick!!
I had the pusher prop version and added 1 ounce of weight all the way forward in the nose to tame it down as it would pitch up a bit. I might have to try this edf version. What receiver did you use? I have had great luck with the AR636A with SAFE progammed to the 64mm eflite F-15 for hand chuckers like this then switch to AS3X after I get to altitude. Well done!
at 00:21 I talk about and show the RX - AR631 (with Safe and AS3X) i also have a throttle/Elevator mix on a switch for hand launching it myself - 5% up at full throttle...and do the same as you Turn it off safe and turn the Mix off once it is going... I stripped out the landing gear and removed the wires and servos, also the plastic doors on the nose, taped up the whole thing on the bottom so it is smoother

I've watch other people fly the F14 Fattie with not much luck also. Nice flying Martyn!
