Good luck with the continued weightloss 🤞For the chap with histamine issues, I have MCAS so also struggled to transition due to histamine intolerance. I actually reversed most of my histamine issues within a few weeks (I still flare but it is mostly under control). I recomment unaged beef (online can be the best source and it probably would be frozen), lamb has less histamine so going for lamb is a good option. He probably knows this, but cook very fresh and eat straight away, no leftovers. I freeze any leftovers straight away but it does lead to higher histamine. Eggs were not too problematic though I do better with yolks and keep the whites down to a minimum. I personally think that really bad histamine intolerance has its origin in a leaky gut so healing that is essential and sometimes things do get a little worse before they get better. For instance, I can now tolerate bone broth again, which is speeding up my healing but at the beginning, I could not. Hope this helps.

Hi Dawn, sorry I'm late but I'm playing catch up after a busy weekend. Don't put too many tweaks in just yet. You're still early in the journey. As Carl told you the 90 day point is the first key milestone. The sardine fast is popular and I think Dr Boz maybe the source. I would urge caution on the lean meat as too much protein can trigger gluconeogenesis and raise insulin. For more info on this see a 2015 Tedx talk from the late, great Dr Sarah Hallberg who passed in April 2022 as God recruited her to his cohort of angels 🙏😪. The title of the talk is "Reversing Type 2 Diabetes Starts With Reversing The Guidelines." Your style of analysis is great as it allows us to help. On the point from Carl's interview about long standing Carnivores. Maggie White is the Canadian rancher. 83 years old and still wrangling bulls. Rick Rodriguez has been going 41 years and is still waiting for the heart attack. Dr Lisa Wiedermann and Kelly Hogan are both 15 years in. 🙂

Hi RWR - I found this 'hidden gem' of a video and thought of you! Years ago, I started down the rabbit hole of *light* and circadian rhythms, after hearing a talk by Dr. Jack Kruse (who is the ultimate source re: this, IMO). He lost something like 200 lbs by working on this - his light environment. He also did basically a lo carb diet too but he rails against what he calls teh 'diet gurus', b/c he says they totally omit important environmental components that are contributing to obesity and health problems. Especially in the past 2 decades our light environment has drastically changed with the increase in cell phones, screen use, types of light, inc exposure to artificial light, etc. it is way more than sleep/wake - it affects our hormones, and our metabolism. Way too complicated of a subject for a comment here, but I just came across this GREAT 9 min video from a Dr. who gives the best quick summary of how light affects one of the major hormones thought to be involved in weight loss - Leptin. Not sure if you've heard of it. It's only 9 minutes , so I hope you'll watch it! Leptin is what signals to your fat cells that it's okay to let go of fat.. AND if your light cycle gets messed up.. the area of your brain that regulates this won't get the signal, and even with severe calorie restriction, fat/weight loss will be sabotaged. Carnivore can help, so you felt better, but based on what you are saying, you may have some underlying circadian/hormonal issues, that are still there.
Unfortunately - our new modern habit of having blue light shining into our eyeballs (which is sending signals to areas in our brains) is one of the major disrupting factors. esp after dark. Let me know what you think! Dr Dian Ginsberg MD How lack of sunlight may lead to inability to lose weight

Thank you for sharing this insightful information! It's fascinating how light and our environment play such a crucial role in our health. I’ll definitely check out that video!

I love the 'talking head' as you call it.! 've only seen a few of your videos, but watched b/c I like the interaction with others who maybe aren't having the 'miraculous' results, and the brainstorming and problem solving. Reading the comments section is just as helpful.. I like videos that just get to the point - just someone taking about the issue, without annoying video clips inserted, etc. I don't watch vlogs, seeing other people's houses, lives, vacations etc. just makes me start comparing and thinking I'm a horrible housekeeper, etc. 😂🤣, but I"m probably the exception! So I avoid that, but that's just me. I also have limited time to watch YT, and also try to limited screen time (which will make sense after you read my part 2), so I just tend to pop in once in awhile . But , as you can see. I love the smaller channels like these where there is actually interaction and I love the comment sections! I think these have helped me the most on my carnivore journey. I'm a science nerd, so like a lot of that. You are not boring.!

Oh my dog.. I'm sorry I'm writing so much on your channel, 🤣😂 but it should help the algorithms :) I just listened to the end and now I have to amend my prior comment. 🤣 I would love to see/hear about your floors!!!! Sound like you guys. or your hubby did the work yourself?? I recently purchased a condo and have been looking into putting that flooring in . been trying to learn about the different kinds, LVP vs laminate etc. and trying to decide if I want to just bit the bullet and do it right away. There are other units with the fake wood flooring I call it, and they look beautiful and I also think it's easier to take care of so I would love to hear about your experience, what kind you used, etc!!!!!!

I think influencers in this way of eating put too much emphasis on fat loss. The fat we have built up on our bodies is surrounding toxins we have acquired over decades of poor eating, rubbing toxic products on our bodies, etc. When the body processes and eliminates some fat, sometimes it needs to take a break so the liver can recover before it processes/gets rid of more. Healing is a process and takes time. The body doesn't care how quickly we want to drop fat and will not overwhelm itself. People really need to be more patient and celebrate the non-scale victories and trust the process. I didn't lose 130 pounds in record time and very glad I didn't.

Thank you for sharing that, that makes so much sense! I've been feeling so guilty, like I must be doing something radically wrong especially when I hear about all these other people who are losing 95 pounds a week LOL ( small exaggeration ) and kudos to you for doing so well, that's so inspiring!

@@restingwitchface1 my pleasure. I needed to remind myself constantly and focus on things like my depression was gone, then anxiety, then rosacea, then fibro, 20 pounds, then blood pressure, dermatitis, I was sleeping better, 20 more pounds, plantar fasciitis...then one day, I was a completely different person I barely recognized. It will happen :) If your clothes don't feel bigger or there is no change on the scale for 3 months, that is a true stall and your community will be here to help ♡
