Toji vs the "strongest" duo is a flipped situation. Usually, the underdog hero lacking gifted abilities works hard to win against gifted monsters. But this time, that "hardworking underdog" is the antagonist, and our gifted heroes were losing against him

It's not as misunderstood as just, wasted potential. He was that op guy from the start. After making my own "universe" For long time, I realized a lot about Marvel and DC Universes. They are just byproducts of a ton of random ideas and explanations and crossovers made by immature mind with no regard for integrity being thrown around and then after some time, a better writer trying to tie them all into something comprehensible. All the originally seperate universes that weren't meant to be in same world being suddenly thrown at each other like in atomic collider. Superman was meant to be that op perfect hero from the start, but he had a lot of potential that writers either didn't see or didn't want to bother with. Now people started to realize it.

Gojo vs Toji was interesting because it was a fight between the genetically gifted "genius" vs the hardworking fighter who isn't even a real wizard. Beyond the characters being opposites, and good foils for each other, it was also a subversion. In most shows, Black Clover comes immediately to mind, the underdog character would be the hero. So the fact that Jujutsu Kaisen is able to make Gojo overpowered, put him in a fight with a charismatic underdog... and still make you root for Gojo without thinking of him as an annoying Mary Sue... is definitely some Voodoo on the part of the writer. (Or should I say Jujutu Sorcercery)
Funny how despite not knowing about jujutsu at that time, i came up with similar solution to near op character. Once again im reassured, that in similar situation with similar limitation, two guys who never saw each other can easily come up with same solution.
Superman is boring? Dislike Not, actually. I'm a batman fan, but superman is THE superhero, he defines what is to be a superhero, but he really is a difficult character. You need to be VERY smart, inteligent and creative to make a thing a challenge to superman amd he is how you do it: challenge his morals. How much he can keep his optimism, his hope. Superman fights can be really boring, but they matter little to the big picture. Superman is a stale character, he NEED to be a stale character because he represent goodness and hope, so the idea is yo challenge that. How you do it? He is god, do the most batshit crazy things you can imagine. Time travel, lovecratian beings, robots, crazy scientists with crazy plans and gadgets, male the whole reality a questionable thing. Superman 's theme is about the importance of people on a universe that big, "does we really matter on the hole scale of things?"
Wait until you find out what happens to him in the Shibuya arc. (Gege and Jump realized the mistake they made with making the charcter too overpowered) I legit like his character in the Sacred Vessel arc, even if that arc is carried by Toji and Geto, S1 and 0 Gojo is god awful and i hate him. The reason he can be a good character in the flashback is that he's not all powerful, but the thing is, after the flashback, he does become so. PS: You complain about Superman, but your first reason given to how JJK made Gojou work also can be applied to Superman.
