Trying to ascend from the abyss makes me think of the real hazards divers and people exploring the bottom layers of the ocean experience when they attempt to ascend from the increased amounts of pressure. If you ascend too quickly, or without proper pressurization, coming back up from too far down can be catastrophic.
there is no way 3rd season is in 4 years. man drew 2 chapters this year and 3 last year. If we are lucky and nothing goes wrong in next decade there should be enough for a season
I remember back in the day like 15 years ago Discovery Channel and History Channel had real content and I caught some programs about explorers, mostly for the Amazon and Africa. Anyway, I cant quite remember things exactly, but it really was just as perilous mostly from disease thou and getting lost.
Great video, quality stuff 👌. I hope you decide to do deep dives and long format. Youve got a voice that puts me at ease yet still engaging. I love this franchise and thank you for this gift of a video 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The sea of corpses is extremely dangerous It consists mostly of a large sea with some crystallized sections held up by a large layer of thick mud and bones, hence the name "The Sea of Corpses." The water is filled with monsters of the sea, and diving deep into the water is synonymous with suicide. However, the one and only case we know of someone descending into the 6th without using the altar is Wakuna (the last white whistle we haven't seen yet). All we know is in chapter 30 page 18 Bondrewed states "the old man the lord of guidance and to have invaded the sixth layer using his own personal relic". Although we don't know for sure if he survived that trip I would be willing to bet a white whistle knew what he was doing and did survive. Therefore, there would be some sort of device that allows someone or something to survive the sea of corpses and the dangers within but it is most likely an artifact and not man made. I would speculate that creating something man made would be extremely difficult considering the dangers of the sea and the distance it would have to go.
@@thebakery115 And I totally get that, but with that said, so far, the creatures will only attack if you agitate them or go near them. From what we’ve gathered, structures don’t seem to bother them that much and they don’t seem to attack structures willynilly so to speak. Even with the capsule holding the children inside (descending to the 5th layer, protected by Bondrewd and the other Umbras), there was probably a few attacks and bonks but nothing too damaging to the capsule itself. Same thing with the pod going down to the 6th layer - basically uninterrupted. I can’t help but to think at some point Bondrewd would’ve dug further into the mud and create a twisty pathway, dodging unstable environment and crippling mud, similar to travelling through The Great Vault. Because, why stop digging at the depth of the pit? Surely in his mind he would’ve proceed further, or maybe he did and that’s the furthest Bondrewd can actually dig with the equipment he can use. Just thinking aloud, because Regs incinerator is probably a lot more powerful than his Sparagmos and Gangway (being a light weapon) maybe he wanted to test out his incinerator abilities and attempt to blow a hole through the sea and mud and vaporise everything, as it is known for its rewriting the possibilities of nature as we’ve seen time and time again. It doesn’t seem impossible that it’s somewhat possible to do. I do apologise, I could be thinking too hard about this but I love to theorise a little too much 😂
@@CupidAnimations Even if the creatures are not hostile to it if one person agitates them by mistake they might wreck that winding path. The issue likely comes down to the distance needed to travel. also people would need to build that thing and it would be asking numerous people to go on a suicide mission. A smaller structure you can build and then lower.
@@phantom-ri2tg Mhm, that’s what I kinda figured it’ll come down to; issues and complications via observation - Probably a project for the future (if they ever have another suicide squad team head down there again lol).
A 3rd Season would be a while. I instead hope for an original story in the same setting focused on adult cave raiders in a more conventional experience in the setting rather than the unconventional one we're experiencing. While as I said, I would like an original, a prequel or better detail on Ganja squad is also welcome but I doubt we'll ever get that. If not that, then an adaptation of his other Manga, from star strings.
That would be a great idea for a series to expand on the world building, probably could show off more artifacts from layers 1-5 and more creatures as I feel there is so much more to be seen!
Will it, though? Previous cycles don't necessarily mean the entire layers move Something *will* change, and it probably will get deeper somehow, though
I actually have a prediction here: th-cam.com/video/z9MlcKsVmY0/w-d-xo.html Although I would say since that video came out my opinion has changed slightly as it kind of re does the white whistle sacrifice. I'm 100% expecting something big out of Lyza thougg
Well they do sort of explain that by saying after layer 2 if a red whistles delves past that point it's considered suicide and no rescue team will be sent haha
Why must the author take so long!? If I could magically snap my fingers and have any story in the world finished... I would prob pick this one. After finishing season 2 I have never been so impatient to learn more about a story.
@thebakery115 I haven't read any. Back when I first watched the show, someone told me the manga wasn't very far ahead. After that, I haven't kept up with the news on MiA. However, I just rewatched the show again this week, and now I'm hooked again. So I guess I will have to read the manga.
His series got really successful so he seems to be enjoying the opportunities it has given him like more money and traveling to conventions. But really, he writes less than George RR Martin.
So can someone who has watched the show tell me if there’s any weird fan service type stuff and also whether or not the main characters seeming to be like basically children is kind of weird at all? I want to watch the show with my girlfriend, but she is absolutely offended by any kind of fan service especially not interested if there are like children as the character. For obvious reasons.
There isn't fan service per say they make it less sexualised then they do in the manga... However there is borderline stuff that they do show for quick moments like kids when being punished are tied up, There are a couple of bathing scenes where everything is censored although some comments are made about each other in those scenes. The author of the manga definitely has some issues but the anime does censor it. I would like to mention though if you can look past this stuff the show is actually amazing with top tier world building
So much of the lore and story of Made in Abyss is cool and interesting as fuck, but man, the weird obsession with kid piss pushes me away from the series.

If you ascend too quickly, or without proper pressurization, coming back up from too far down can be catastrophic.
I would be almost certain that that is where the author got his inspiration 😁
The Byford Dolphin Accident showed they can literally explode.

Not necessarily correct. 2nd season was in production when the material for the manga hasn't been finished, too
I'm hoping so haha!
Yeah Akihito is in no hurry to finish his manga, that's for sure.
Tho, every chapters of MiA are pretty long compared to the other manga.
I like how this didnt have any spoilers. Means I still get to watch and feel the full impact.
I wouldn't say any spoilers, but it does avoid some of the major things
The layers of made in abyss with its restrictions and rules really made me appreciate people who try to explore the unknown.
I think they would have to be a little bit crazy to go down there. I'm sure the mystery drives them nuts!

Thank you for the food, I'm so desperate for MiA content.
I've got 3 more videos recorded! Plus many ideas in the works! Make sure to subscribe to see it when it comes out 😉

Made in Abyss content. Subscribed.
Thank you! Plenty more to come!
Was hoping you could tell me what I don’t already know. What’s really there. The layers never end.
I can't wait to find out what we don't know either haha!
