Love how the GM Custom is stopping the Zaku III from launching a Sturm Faust at the Sazabi at the end there. It's like those two model kits in particular have been in so many shots together that I like to imagine that your GM Custom and Zaku III are basically friends. The GM Custom being that one friend who is just all chill and has to calm the Zaku III down after each video where its bulkiness is beat out by another Mobile Suit.

Aside from the lack of detail (thrusters and beam shot rifle) and a few special effects (beam and funnel) the HG Sazabi is still one of the most appealing looking kits especially for it being a 12 year old kit put Sazabi next to Nu Gundam and they pop right out on your shelve.

For displaying the funnels. I used the clear green from the beam affect and shaved the point to fit into the funnels and into the backpack
honestly i feel this kit is actually still worth getting, even with the RG being... i guess objectively better - this is one of the most anime accurate kits I've ever seen, it looks like it hopped right off the screen
Yeah I find myself with people suggesting the RG more nowadays for obvious reasons, but even then if I HAD the extra or circumstance I'd pick up the ol HG as well or first. Something about it strikes me better than RG. Dont get me wrong I want an RG myself when I get to it though
The RG may be the best rendition of Sazabi, but the HG is the closest we've gotten to an anime-accurate rendition. Proportions are on point, no unnecessary detail. Color accuracy maybe slightly bad, but it's an old HG so that's to be expected
@@edwardbarillas7263 Plus YELLOW beam effect parts. Why does every other non SD Sazabi kit have GREEN beam effect parts? In Char's Counterattack, they are clearly yellow colored beams.

Agreed, it looks really good and is more solid and less prone to breakage due to less delicate parts. It is more faithful to the distinctive style of the line-art as well.
The main weapon is called a shot-rifle because its emitter can be adjusted to fire either a standard tight beam pattern or a diffuse beam. So it's a shotgun or a rifle in practice.
Ooooh i honestly kinda like how smooth the hg looks due to the smaller amount of details compared to the rg :D might have to get one of these some day as well ! The proportions look really nice to me too, quite different from the rg it seems.

Proudly own an RG Sazabi class MS. Customized it with blue paint stripping. This model was the breakout into my Gundam interest. Same with Zaku and the series Iron blooded orphans.
The peg for the arm is somehow made to be slightly bigger than the polycap making it really sturdy on build but then became really loose afterward. My Sazabi's arm polycaps actually breaks apart because of the size of the peg after a while so you might have to sand it down a bit
This is my second favorite kit I've put together so far only being beaten by the Lightning Zeta. I may need to get a couple of these just to do some kit bashes with.

I have this kit. I love it, mostly cause it's the Sazabi.
Though being that I have both this and the RG version, I'd sooner recommend the RG. it's just better, probably easier to get these days to.
This is an awesome kit. WIll get this for sure. ( I have to collect all versions(except the recolors those just if the price is not too high) of a kit in diferent grades *.*)
I personally like the proportions of the hg better than the rg because that longer and bulkier torso (kinda like the mg ver ka) gives it a more commanding aura that is fitting for char himself and the balance of proportion is just really good like the hg nu
If only Char could of gotten his own Zaku III Custom. That would be so awesome.
Plus they love to recolor everything for Char-you'd think at least a P-Bandai version would be a thing.

If you still have the runners for the saber effects, you can cut those and make them into makeshift effects.

That beam rifle reminds of the pulse rifle of the Marined in the Aliens
If you take a standard normal beam saber from now and days like the sinanju stein itll fit into the beam tomahawk. Also for my hg sazabi as much as I love it the legs and arms kept falling off and I had to replace the leg policaps
Oddly enough the funnel effect parts come with the HGUC Jagd Dogas, both versions.
The funnels are meant to connect to the jagd doga funnnels clear tubes.

Rip my boy Zaku 3, you can't win them all. That said I still need to pick one up. The HGUC Sazabi looks really good especially with the gunmetal hands and joints. Just a small extra detail not often found with HGs
I heard you can cut the transparent runners for the beam effect parts and use those to display the funnels by flexing the runner bits, but I could be wrong.
My favorit HGUC ever with Nu Gundam. Big and beautifull😍

Very awesome review and I was laughing when I noticed the Sazabi staring at the Zaku 3 almost like he is saying:
Sazabi: Yeah bitch I'm the big dog now!
But still poor Zaku 3 lol.
I think if you buy the jagd doga, you will get some transparent cables and you will be able to solve the Sazabi funnel problem.
One thing if you buy a jagd doga (which is preferably Quess's) could you put the right arm of a geara doga? It is that in unicorn a jagd doga comes out with an arm of a geara doga and I would like to see how a hg fits.
Because with the 1/100 reborn if you do that one arm is bigger than the other and it does not look good, in addition to that the geara doga is a premium bandai

I just bought one of these at Disney World of all places, HAHA. There's a shop at Epcot in the Japanese part of the World Showcase called Mitsukoshi and they had 3 of them on display in a glass display case with other gunpla and things like that and I was like "Sazabi. That. Is. MINE." and I definitely paid probably 15-20 more dollars than it was worth but I'm such a sucker for Char stuff and I'd never bought a legit Gunpla despite owning loads of Gundam action figures as a kid. I had the cool toys that you could ACTUALLY play with and not worry about breaking. Hell now I wanna go buy some of those again. My sibling had a Deathscythe Custom, an Epyon, and I forget what else, maybe a Gundam Heavy Arms Custom? I forget. It's been literally 20 years now! I had a bunch of different ones from various series...a Shining Gundam, a Master Gundam, a Dragon Gundam, Gundam Wing Custom, Gundam Wing, a Zaku 2 (I forget if it was Char's red one or not! It's been too long), Gundam Physalis (with the HUGE shield and bazooka) and I think I recall having a Gundam Ez-8 or similar. OH RIGHT and I had THE GUNDAM, Gundam Rx98 how could I forget? Jesus there probably are more that I had that I don't remember. But the most you could do with those toys was maybe remove the arms, legs and some larger parts or something and change out weapons. But they were loads of fun to make up stories with as a kid.

I'll be honest, I thought this HG was gonna have bad articulation cuz it's a older kit, it won me over and now I want it becuase it took me by surprise by the articulation
You can’t really complain, It’s a high grade so It’s not gonna have extremely a lot of detail, The RG has way more detail and such

It's a pretty good quality hg kit. It's about as big as my re efreet custom.
For a straight, CCA Sazabi, I’d go for the RG. But if I was to make a custom 1/144 scale Sazabi Heavy Equipment Ground Type, this would be the base kit I’d go for

Has anyone tried the funnels with the PBandai Qubeley effect set? I'd assume that the thin pegs on the effect stands would fit solidly in the Sazabi's funnels

I like Hobbylink Japan's cheap prices, but the international shipping is terrible. As I'm from the US, it's about $20-30 for shipping, multipying the price of an item by at least 3
Also, I have much better options in the US, like Hobbyholics, Gundam Planet, USA Gundamstore, and even Amazon prime depending on the price.

Gotta use their warehouse option. Buy multiple items in the time frame then get it shipped make it work
That's why you don't ship cheap items by themselves, you use the private warehouse and ship the shit when you have a couple hundred dollars of items. That said shipping form Japan is way cheaper and faster than shipping from anywhere in North America for me anyway.

Some time ago I ordered a zoid kit and the shipping on it was pretty expensive but I could add a ton of other kits with the price barely going up(untill it suddenly rose a lot again after a certain threshold)
Also fedex and ems and dhl is freaking fast as fuck from japan. Even the cheapest shipping options which say 2-6 weeks usualy arrive in 1 week. Ordering a package from japan(which is on the literal oposite side of the globe for me)is faster for me than ordering from freaking germany which is not even an hour drive away from me haha. Its insane.
Im planning to get it and I think the price was kinda worth it, the price was I think $19

If the Zaku III meets the Messer probably same reaction with the Sazabi. Also probably Sazabi hit on a Geara Doga before Messer was born.

can you do one on like the relation why and how some beam weapons seem to be able MS itself while others require E caps and such?
like the hi-zack only being able to equip 1 beam weapon at a time, so how does the MS generator affect its equipment? Esp since many of these weapons does not have like any cables or physical connection to the MS itself?

My understanding is that cheaper MS can't power multiple beam weapons at the same time, otherwise they'd drain the MS's own power significantly.
They are powered by connecting to adapters on the hand, which is how Heat Hawks and Heat Swords also activate.

Some people broke off inside shoulder peg joints of RG Sazabi that’s why some builder are afraid to build RG Sazabi and ended up results like them. I just finished mine RG Sazabi last night and mine didn’t break like the others do. I handled mine gently when building gunpla like what youtuber Krowsama said in the video review of RG Sazabi. I’m happy with my RG Sazabi came straight out of the box and made like a solid brick. I would go RG Sazabi over HGUC version. RG Sazabi version wins the cake.

hey kakarot197, so listen as u know they is a lot of gundam lore that was never touched for general gundam fan like us. like the Advance of zeta stories which gave us some very awesome kits and mechanics like hazel. but theres no lore i was wondering if u know the story or lore behind advance of zeta mechs like hazel cuz even wikis are no help i just dont understand where they came from. since u have a lot of gundam material do u have anything on advance of zeta.
