Congrats on your son. Try 'your song' by Billy Paul. It starts slow but the emotions take over the singer after couple of minutes. i'm a single dad and sing that to my son every day. The little man is 16 now and has a beard and hair on his chest. Still my baby though.
This song came out in 1992 when I was 16 and so much happened that year, most importantly my father's passing. This song was however uplifting for me at the time and listening even now is like replaying that year with all it's ups and downs. Thanks Lionel

*THIS* is REAL music, why can't music be like this today?. I used to love listening to music, now I absolutely HATE it, that's why I browse TH-cam for music like this from 90's for some nostalgia.
The powers that be, informed us we were supposed to consume grunge, gangster rap, and quasi alternative music. In an alternative timeline, would have been great if all that crap never happened.

Unfortunately that was the beginning of Techno and grunge overtaking all the good stuff that came before, no wonder i never heard this wonderful song.
