    Yeah but that bam4100 motor is such a beast I could not imagine it within an 18 tooth pinion that thing would literally jump off the ground it is already super fast with just a 12-2 but it has killer slow crawl amazing torque I believe it's the best motor on the market

      @@bcochener yes. It is only an issue when running shocks other than standard length. I already have a version drawn with it clearanced but never had a run of them made as it is only when compressing both sides at the same time and rarely will that happen if at all to full compression. Some have taken a sanding drum on a dremel and it's easy to make it look really nice.

    • @bcochener
      @bcochener  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it could also be the uppers as well as the drive shaft hitting. I may dig into it with a Dremel, but it is so close I may not.

      Yeah, with the uppers on the chassis link risers, they may be hitting as well as my drive shaft. At least it is basically at full uptravel. Not sure if I will modify it or not at this point...?

    Nanobeat maybe smaller but it's going to get a hell of a lot hotter too and that fan motor I haven't seen nothing that can really compete with it as far as staying pretty cool low-end torque high-end speed I have both of them I have the 1900 with a 16 tooth pinion on it and I have the 4100 with a 14-2 pinion on it I will be switching my 4102 like a 12-2

    I have the hot racing lt oil shocks, any tips on how to bleed them and fill them properly? I’m having trouble getting the shock to extend all the way out.

    • @bcochener
      @bcochener  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you have some negative pressure.
      I start filling them with them compressed and quickly let them extend as it fills them. Usually messy. I then cycle the shock slowly to get air bubbles out. Repeat the fill process 3-4 times until full when fully compressed. Air should be out. Then screw on the cap while keeping it compressed. Oil should squeeze out of the cap as you tighten due to the bladder ends on these. - this should leave you with smooth action without air bubbles.
      If it feels crunchy, it likely is air bubbles inside. Rebleed them. (make sure it’s not just rubbing the spring on the outside though, making a noise.)
      - if it won’t compress fully, too much oil. Rebleed.
      You get the hang of it after you do a few. If it doesn’t feel smooth, try again.

    What size links and driveshafts are you using?

    • @bcochener
      @bcochener  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think the links were stretched 3mm in the front? It’s been a while. They were custom from RCSteve710. The driveshafts were JLU: @20:19

    Nice looking build - I was wondering about the Super 8 axles. I'm not a fan of plastic housings, but that stretch is impressive. Just curious about your choice to use a plastic spur - creating a weak point? Have you ever stripped a spur due to binding up the tires?

    • @bcochener
      @bcochener  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The metal spur I had on hand wouldn't fit this HR transmission shaft. I have all my Nano Beasts on plastic spurs I think though. They are quieter. Haven't stripped any yet, but did sheer a dogbone axle end off with a Nano Beast/3S on my 6x6 by hanging up the tire.
