Denise is the one highlight of this arc of Season 2. I don’t think her character’s particularly well written, but the grounded, unsensationalized way Duchovny and MacLachlan play this scene really makes it work.
Deputy Hawk: That's a good colour for him!! That's why I love David Lynch. He makes out of nowhere an incredible character that you will make you laugh, surprise and stay focused till the end
Remember when this was a goofy and weird scene, now your tolerance and acceptance of "trans rights" is required. Pretty sure Bryson Aka Mulder from the X-files dressed as a trans, was a joke.
I’ve always looked at it as a lighthearted joke about small town/rural America in the 90s. I don’t think any disrespect was meant to the trans community.
@@nigelproctor Trans people have existed for much longer than after the 90s, social awareness and acceptance just grew for it. Like not using peoples identities as a joke.
Takes Coop all of 30 seconds to get over his initial surprise and accept her
Cooper is a true ally.
it's not a her... moron
Duchovny slays in that lipstick though 😂
"Now scully, that was a different time in my life."

i think for the time her character is especially well written

@@koira1 i think coopers reaction to her transition is particularly impressive for the time

So, this is what Mulder was before the X Files. Interesting :)
Agent cooper and Agent Mulder 😊❤️The best of both worlds.

Fox Mulder's long lost sister.
Uh, Samantha Mulder wouldn't like it.😐
Agent Cooper said Trans Rights
Duchovny, the legend of agents 😊❤
0:43 Cooper checking her out like 👀
Shes so pretty 💕
that slouch that coop does when he sees her is hilarious
it's not a her...how stupid are you fools
"Ok"
Fox Mulder
Foxy Mulder
beautifully accepting. I wish society could learn a thing or two from twin peaks (you know, aside from all the horrific stuff)
you're the one that needs to "learn"...worthless fool
Looking at the thumbnail I thought that was Juliette Lewis for a second.
Whats amazing is how little Cooper cares. Remember, this was our audience stand-in, and our anchor of morality. What he does say everything.
you have zero concept of "morality"
Omgg he like a woman is so pretty!
con esa cara tan linda que tiene david..obviamente se ve hermoso de mujer
Damn I remember thinking WTF!!!! And that watching Twin Peaks lol
Edit - The Cop also acted on the X-Files btw
Wow good job Sherlock lol.
X-Files is still to this day his biggest/most memorable role.
@@ykMMDHe may be referring to Hawk. The actor who played him was in the X Files episode "Shapes"
lmfao,,, !

There was no "trans community" in the 90s, only gender dysphoria. In the silence of the lambs, it's literally used in the context of horror hahaha

@@nigelproctor bruh in silence of the lambs they outright state that trans people exist and buffalo bill *isn't* trans
