- For the first time ever, we take both of our time attack cars to the same event! The cars were built for different classes. Ben's 400whp Built Evo 9 is built for Street Class, and Other Ben's 250whp K24 Widebody Civic is built for ClubTR.

nice dive into the corner, seem like tuning is spot on. Need to flush the brake fluid before every session since front drive makes heavy use of em.
It’s the only way to really force the 90s Honda chassis to rotate into corners
@@AndreKlebleyev My GenX is tune the same way, but I wouldn't dial it out, since the 106 inch wheelbase means I can plant the accelerator for technical part and ignore the transitions (that'll send the rear drive off the track). Result is too much speed, since you treated that section as a straight away, which means I have to do a quick right/left with the steering and stab the brake to initiate a slight drift or loose all my speed.

No matter what mood I'm in, watching these track days gets me all hyped up, great production, great cars, great driving, what a day! Jimmy was a fun addition too, lightening the stresses of the competition, but also pushing people to go faster! Nice.
You know your ur car is a project car when your rear rims are 6 spoke and the fronts are 5 spoke. I love it!!

If K-Swap Ben reads this, you know how you put the black vinyl over the 'grill' area to make it look less aggressive? Maybe more around the intercooler hole could make it look better. Thoughts?
I got what you mean, the radiator hole right? because Ben's civic is naturally aspirated so there is no intercooler down there.
Maybe just put a normal grill in it to reduce drag in the front at the same time more air intake.
I like the way it is, it looks purely functional and that's what I love about it!

Congrats Civic Ben! Nice job Evo Ben! My 1st (and only) GRIDLIFE in '19 at Mid-Ohio I got 10th in Street but I learned quick that to be at the top you need the right car/mods/setup to go along with solid driving. I've retired from TA so I love watching you guys build the cars up the right way as you progress as drivers!
Really enjoyed the new style format to the gridlife videos with the interview style.
Gives good insight to what happens behind the scenes as well as how the competitors feel about the BEN's. Paints the full story for us viewers.

Depends on the class , In these classes, HPDE safety rules apply. Higher classes= higher car and driver safety gear requirements

For the turbocharged cars, we've put electric water pumps like the davies pump and it really made a huge difference in temps. We're in the Philippines and I run a 07 subaru sti so its hot all the time. We had water temps at 203F with the mechanical pump and brought it down to 193F all day long. I hope this helps.

I'm currently building a car, 65' mustang to be exact. I'm not building it to be a track car but it does have track oriented suspension for the canyons. May need to take it to fontana speedway and do one of those autox events. These videos are truly great. Keep up the great work.

You need a higher wet boiling point fluid. The best fluid on the market for consumers is Castrol SRF. It has the highest WBP of any fluid. And it's like DOT 4+
