Really love being able to click the shoulder button to return Pokémon once you throw them out, it reminds me of clicking the little poke ball button like in the show, really enjoyed the video!
I was just telling my friend how it almost feels like the type of satisfaction from throwing a perfectly timed grenade in Call of Duty lol. A weird comparison, but I love how the throwing is tied to the shoulder button
In the Japanese Pokemon presents they called Pokemon Legends Arceus the new era in Pocket Monster Series and in Japan Pocket Monster Series is only use for mainline game so it mainline
Despite it's issues, it's probably the best Pokemon game we have gotten since Black/White 2 It's a shame that the Sinnoh remakes had to be "sacrified" for this game to be good, tho.
But on the other hand, would you rather have a lifeless gen 5 remake or a legends game of the unova region? The remakes have gotten worse as the modernity of the game they're remaking has increased and I think it's time for a change
This game has been really interesting I wasn’t sure either and I ended up getting it a few weeks ago and so far I think it’s good but I still prefer the original style. But this style is pretty enjoyable as well
I can relate to your video in so many ways! Catching abra was such a pain to me that I had to resort to sky dropping from braviary after endgame and even then I had to leave the field a couple of times out of jolly frustration! I too escaped the tutorial to enjoy the view jaja it truly is a new experience.
I also skipped on Let's Go, SwSh and BDSP. They didn't seem fun and were nearly double the price compared to the older games ($80 CAD plus 13% tax, bruh that's $90 bruh bruh). Yet Legends Arceus seems to be the first game in a while that excited me (the last time was SuMo in 2016 cuz it was a new gen). The release of this game makes me wonder if future games will continue to have two versions. From what I heard, there's supposed to be a choice in the late game you can make that determines some story? things (I haven't played the game yet). It'll be kinda gross if they decide to go back to dual versions when there is no real reason to do that other than profit. They can easily emulate version exclusivity by having a few randomized exclusives per save file or have dual choices in the game that can give the game replayability and encourage people to trade.
Before I even watch even 1 second I'm gonna put that the answer is no. The original trinity still stands unbroken. But, it is a nice gen 1 for the (hopefully) arriving legends line of games. And it (hopefully) will have an equally improved gen 2 that will make this half-baked intro actually become great.
one thing I disliked about PLA is that the areas just seem less memorable than the traditional pokemon games. Like, some more pokemon or maybe some interesting landmarks would've certainly helped. The few that the game does have, like the dam with Elite Bibarel or the trench with elite Golem on the mointain, I absolutely enjoyed. Also the noble fights could have had a bit more complexity to them, since they're meant to be the big boss fights Aside from that, absolutely loved the game, spent 70 hours just playing through the story + side stuff
i like this game so fair and the story is a little good its like your playing a new game that you never play before i didnt reget on not getting BD and SP because this game is 100 times better then the last game they put out before this one why the other game if you can get alot of more pokemon then the other game damn Game Freak made a good game for once ever since like gen 5 its even better then SH and Sw
I realized that no matter how much criticism each new game gets, I still end up loving them (besides LGPE. I didn’t really care for gen 1 after playing so much Pokémon go). Every game is fun and tired of people pretending they’re not.
Legends Arceus is just so close to exactly what I want from a Pokemon game, but due to the lackluster battling, the pretty empty world, and my arch nemesis of Pokemon games: the inconsistent art style, it's close but no cigar.
It's kind of a shame you didn't buy Sword and Shield, because of the old style formula games, it's probably the best one. Story isn't the best, but everything else is improved. The quality of life improvements alone are pretty great, and the dlc was a much better way to expand on the game than just buying the same game slightly modified as before. The lack of random battles is such a huge step forward, that it's more like Arceus than you might realize. You mentioned the old games being 'proven', but to be honest, with nostalgia aside, each new game usually does get better. They might not re-create the same magical moments the old games did as a kid, but that's a pretty tall ask as an older gamer. That almost never happens for me - I'm lucky to find a game like that once every 5 years. Pretty unreasonable expectation I think. If you take Sword and Shield for what it is, you will enjoy it. Catching and adventure are big themes but battling is also really done well. Gyms actually feel like a grand event and the quality of life in Sword and Shield actually incentivize me to finally make my own teams because it wouldn't take a month to do it. I don't see how you could not enjoy it if you're willing to replay the older games. They are worse imo when judged by modern standards.
hear me our, legends arceus gameplay mixed with the base pokemon story.. go beat gyms level up pokemon fight elite four that type of shit.. in one game
Sorry but I can't agree with this at all, this was the worst pokemon game EVER. Ranger and Mystery Dungeon are better than this load of non-canonical garbage. I actually expect challenge when i play a game not press A and move a joystick around pretty environments. It's a game.

It’s definitely up for debate gameplay wise but I think the story is not great tbh.

I sure hope so. At the very least, they definitely need to carry the good mechanics from this game over to Gen 9 whenever that comes out
I am not a picky guy with graphics, I play retro games, but come on what the hell are these graphics? We are in 2022
