Just bought this one (Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar). When it comes to activity tracking, GPS accuracy, heart rate monitor and running metrics Garmin is the ultimate killer!
Hello bro,how do you charge it? I got it yesterday, but still can't figure how to do it🤷♂️I put it under the sun,thr percentage is the same.
I’m using Fenix 7x sapphire solar, and using it in daily gps based sport such us run for at least 45 min to 2 hours.. battery last for about 2 weeks, 13-15 days avg. currently on 42% , last charged on march 6th to 93%. I set up sleep mode from 22.00 to 5.00 each day, it helps with battery life
I agree, I also hope that Garmin upgrades its Solar technology in the watches to make them solely work on Sun light. That would be great
This made me feel incredibly inactive/out of shape. 😂 What a cool watch/tool, though. Nice review!
Super close to picking up a Garmin solar to replace my Wahoo Rival so I loved this insight! Thanks, Josh! 🤙
No worries Pudgy! Yeah digging the watch so far. Like I mention in the video. I can’t wait for the day that solar is actually solar charging !
Cheers !
I hope Garmin keeps perfecting the memory in pixel display in order to achieve even more battery life. In the meantime I’m eager to get the Garmin Fenix 7 pro ASAP
I agree friend, every watch should have a flashlight. 🔦
Nice video (as always... 😁) I use a Suunto 9 Baro which is trusty and never let me down. I use it mostly for trail running navigation but strated recently tracking every workout/activity and it works perfectly good. I think i can use it for a week before the battery dies ^^
I purchased the Garmin fenix 7x pro sapphire solar a month ago, and I have to say it is a BEAST!! I was a G Shock user for years and decided that i needed to change it up, and it was the best decision i made.
I just finished a two week camp out / hike and boy was the Garmin helpful compared to the G Shock. Thanks for the review
Oh, I was also using a Casio GShock :D The square model one. Now also on a Fenix 7x pro SS.
@G91YS I hope you're enjoying it. My band broke on mine last week while I was trying to throw a pig over my shoulders while out hunting. Luckily, it fell straight down into my gumboot, I almost had a heart attack 😅 😭 at least I'll know for next time.

You need the Garmin nylon band that comes with the tactix 7, it will not break.
@fj3442 I recently purchased a nylon band off aliexpress and has lasted a two day pig hunt so far. I'm helping a mate out on his farm at the mo. He needs a couple thousand trees cut down for a sawmill
I’ve had an original Garmin Instinct Solar for almost three years now and it lasts just about 14 days with no power saver mode on.
That’s impressive !! Is that on standby or are you tracking activities ?
@@JoshRomeroYT Tracking activities. I’m basically a hiker/walker.
I got the epix 2 pro and the battery lasts of 31 days as it has the enduro 2 battery in it 😊
Was this with multi-band GPS? Or just normal GPS tracking?
it's meaning if I use this watch for cycling navigation the battery die before my normal 8 to 10 hours workout? I know this watch it's not design and built for cycling navigation...but I expect more from Garmin,. one more time I need think before buy.😅
@@the-portuguese-guy no it won’t die on a 8-10 hour workout… I get about 110 hours of gps tracking
@@JoshRomeroYT but one thing is gps tracking, and another is gps tracking with map always on ...I Wana buy this baby...but I never see a video anyone show if is possible use this Garmin smartwatch like a dedicate Edge cycling computer. Have also another think I have concern...what is the battery lifespan ? 1 year, 2 years, 3 years...and Garmin replace the battery of this watch? or after 3 years I need put the watch on the bin ? So valid questions for me, and I cannot find this answers on TH-cam.
Why do you enable GPS for a stretching workout? 🤔
Does it auto start it?
I was thinking the same thing! Nothing indoors should auto enable a GPS.
@@mnyre if you use the "cardio" sport profile, there's no GPS.
How do you find the display, does the sapphire screen make it hard to read the information?
No not at all.I think its easy to read the MIP display in contrast to an amoled. I I think something like the apple ultra or something like the Epix has fantastic Amoled but that comes at the loss of battery life. so You have to pick what you want to prioritize
Not sure you mentioned the watch size. Is this a 47 or 51mm?
It is the 47mm!
@@JoshRomeroYT whats ur wrist size ?
@@zLcss no idea… but pretty small the 47 looks fine imo.. there are some days when the watch seems small and others large. For an everyday watch I think the 47 is great for most people.
@Swimming11 Hi there! I mention this in the full review which I’m currently editing, should be out real soon… In the video I briefly talk about how it would be nice to solely have a 51mm for running or cycling in my opinion. If it is however the watch I was asked to use 100% of the time the I would still go with the 47mm especially if you plan on using it for sleep as well. Any data screen is plenty visible on the 47mm.. the maps screen is where you would see a little benefit from a bigger watch face. Cheers!
Hi, what's size do you choose? Which color is the band, black or graphite?
He has the 47mm size with what looks like an aftermarket band which is kinda a light gray.
I just got the Garmin 965, I'm on track for a 23 day battery life.
Is that with battery save mode or normal watch mode?
