Thank you for commenting about your issue, I can imagine it being very frustrating, I wish I could help in some way but I don’t know anyone who has a 2022 TE300i that I could have a play with. I really hope KTM/Husqvarna haven’t disabled the ability to connect aftermarket OBD tools because from what I understand, it’s really important for the TPi engine to idle in the correct rev range and the OBD tool is the only way to see if it is or not. I’ll make a note of this and keep an eye out for any solutions or if other 2022 TPi owners have the same issue 👍🏻.

You just have to make sure you get the correct OBD to ECU lead for your bike, then when you open the app and go through the connection process, select ‘Other’ and should bring up the diagnostics 👍🏻.

      No problem.
      I don’t know if there’s a value to test or a way to test if the sensor has failed using the OBD tool, but if the bike has a rough idle, the only way I’ve seen people confirming if it’s the sensor is by swapping the two sensors around, and seeing if the idle returns to normal or not.
      It’s quite a common issue for a sensor to go bad for no reason and I’ve seen a lot of people swapping the sensor to fix it…. It’s just a shame KTM/Husqvarna didn’t do a recall on them.

    • @MALVSMACHINE
      @MALVSMACHINE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dragoskw3575 ah ok, then I’d say that one of your sensors is playing up and it’s more than likely the crankcase pressure sensor, which is an issue I’ve had on my bike as well. Either the sensor and housing tray need cleaning or the sensor needs replacing.
      I have a video about cleaning the crankcase pressure sensor that I hope will help you out called ‘KTM Husqvarna crankcase pressure sensor issue repair’
      I’ve found it’s a common error for people to start turning screws when their bike is running poorly, like they would on the old carb setup to get the correct air/fuel ratio but in actual fact, the idle screw only adjusts the idle and nothing else as the ECU controls the fuelling, so when something isn’t right, it’s because a sensor isn’t giving the ECU the correct information and that results in poor running such as a low idle and bogging down in low revs. I hope it helps you out 👍🏻

    The difference between the idle screw and the air screw is that the idle screw also changes the amount of fuel injected into the cylinder. The air screw only leans or richens the mixture at any given throttle position with more or less air.

    • @MALVSMACHINE
      @MALVSMACHINE  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No it does not, the ECU is what changes the amount of fuel that is squirted in to the transfer port and to do that, the throttle position sensor tells the ECU how much the butterfly valve in the throttle body is open, then the mapping dictates how long the injector squirts fuel when the valve is at that position - you’ve heard of mapping right?
      The idle screw adjusts, and can only adjust the idle because the butterfly valve is closed to the point where it barely lets enough air through the throttle body, and then the idle screw opens or closes an air bypass feed that bypasses the butterfly valve so that the idle can be adjusted using a screw in the bypass feed - for small adjustments and without the need to open or close the butterfly valve, because that’s a much larger hole and small adjustments make a big difference to a big hole than big adjustments make to small hole.
      If you open the throttle half way and hold it, then adjust the idle screw, nothing happens because once the throttle is open, the butterfly valve is open and is pulling in a larger volume of air - taking over the amount of air that was travelling through the small hole that allows air to bypass the butterfly valve and let the bike idle.
      So idle screw = idle screw, and needs to be set to a certain rev range, as per this video, to ensure the correct air/fuel ratio at idle.
      Once the throttle starts to open, the sensors tell the ECU what’s happening and it goes to work.
      This isn’t new technology, it’s EFI.
      If you watch the Husqvarna/KTM Enduro team during testing, they have a computer plugged in to the bike so that they can adjust the mapping on the ECU, they’re not messing with a screw to adjust how open or closed the butterfly valve is in the throttle body.

    • @chrismx339
      @chrismx339 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the idle screw stops the throttle at a different position and the throttle position sensor tells the ecu how much fuel to inject. The air screw does not change the throttle position.

    • @MALVSMACHINE
      @MALVSMACHINE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s an idle screw. Read the manual. If you have to open the butterfly in the throttle body which lets way more air in to set your idle, your bike is not working correctly.

    • @chrismx339
      @chrismx339 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, most people do the idle screw mod so that they can maintain the desired idle while also adjusting the mixture as required. Emissions is the reason KTM have to do this and we should be thanking them that they were smart enough to get around this simply with a bit of loctite which is easy to remove and restore the full functionality once the bike leaves the factory.

    • @MALVSMACHINE
