Richie is a powerhouse all around. Great guitarist...Great vocalist and top notch songwriter. I met him years back in Chicago and he coudlnt have been any cooler either. Just a solid dude
Ritchies a great singer too! Love his playing! He got me into the idea of having a Tele as your workhorse so to speak. Why does Ritchie sound like he's on the verge of passing out when he talks lol. Thanks for the upload!

Yes, this lick was used by both Friedman and Becker on Cacophony solos. And since Jason produced Richie's first album and they were very close friends, Richie got a lot of influence from Becker, Richie even says that himself. Richie also does some arpeggions from "Go Off" song on his guitar solo with Mr. Big in Japan, which you can find here too.
I dont see fun in the solos couse nobody realy cares if they are not done right on the song I like to have agresive fun punch your faces whith metal music i do solo on my songs just pentatonic minor and sound killer And y add other scales not just pentetonic minor but that is the point that scale haves soul when its play the heart way

He sounded very much like Greg Howe at this time...I am glad he has matured and found his own thing
They have a duo album from 1997, it sounds great but I honestly can’t tell them apart.
I think he sounded more unique here
definitely influenced but i wouldn’t say he sounds anything like Greg here?

Does anybody know which amp is that ? I think it is an Yamaha but can't tell the model... Thanks.
Looks one of the Yamaha DG series. I bet the one on the floor is a DG100 and the one behind him is probably the rackmount DG1000.
If you dig this style check out his albums with Greg Howe. Both of them are sick
When he lost his pick?
I don't know but he became better...
what is the name of the track that he played at 0:00 - 2:17?
Richie played fast one lick and then played slowly different lick)
Has he made a habit out of finger picking or does he normally use pick?
Now he's using only his fingers...
