Depends what use the phone is intended for. If you're buying a phone for harsh circumstances or for a child or clumsy person to use, it needs more durability.

Hugh Mungus The Note 7 at leasthas waterproofing compared to the pixel and it has an S Pen but I think the next S8 Edge (or maybe even S8 Pro) will come with an S Pen and a 5.7 inch screen.

IPhone 4 had glass back. It's a completely different design. You only need these on a aluminum unibody. The iPhone 4 might have had antenna lines, but they were not used as a pronounced design element like it was premiered in the HTC One m7. A lot of manufacturers have borrowed this design from HTC afterwards with the iPhone 6 being the most well known example.

I'm pretty sure they did this because they purposely wanted to resemble the iPhone as closely as possible. Not because they're not original, but I feel this is google way of taunting iPhone users to come to Android. People who don't really understand tech too well would switch because of the aesthetic similarity alone.

thormaster06 probably because the glass was thicker, so oleds didn't receive "too much" heat. leds and oleds are way more sensitive than lcds to temperature because of the technology. so, over a certain temperature, you say goodbye to that pixel
It is also why AMOLED screens turn yellowish over a year of continues usage. You'll notice it with whites. My friend's S5, not even a year old, is already having yellowish whites

He uses them for parts I believe. He has a repair shop somewhere in NY (I think) so if something needs a ribbon cable,or the back say, he'll use this phone. Just to save a couple extra bucks.
Give me a GS7 Active any day. My Gs6 Active survived a fall off my car roof as I sped away due to my carelessness. Came out unscathed with little more than two nicked corners--no case.

Cloth on ear piece is ridiculous.
In a good or bad way? I think the cloth is a nice touch. Most larger speakers use fabrics to hide the speaker cones from view.
