What a great song! LOVED it!
    Original Content:
    • NANOWAR OF STEEL - Val...
    LYRICS:
I'm drowning in a sea of desperation
(Then I sing a prayer to my Lord)
    Away from hope and systembolaget
(Then I sing a prayer to my Lord)
I pray, I pray, yes, I pray to my Lord
I was down on my knees
    Permafrost on my feet
I was begging in tears, my holy Lord Odin
    Hear our prayer, philantropic Odin
    (Guitar tech of Amon Amarth)
    Viking-friendly, slayer of the Giants
(Guitar tech of Hammerfall as well)
For the plunder and the rape, we sing to you Valhalleluja
For the chopping of the heads, we praise you Odin, our Lord
For Normandy, Britannia, Greenland, Scandinavia sing Valhalleluja
But for Nicaragua, Azerbaijan we don't sing at all
We don't know where they are
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    שְׁמַע יגְדרַשְׂאִל
    שְׁמַע יגְדרַשְׂאִל
    אוֹדינַי אֵלוהֵינוּ
    אוֹדינַי אֶחַד
Hear my voice, this is Odin calling you
Times have changed, I'm a Gentlegod
No more war, just design of furniture
    Master of IKEA
Just like Jesus I'm a carpenter
Forging shelves with the hammer of Thor
    Gloria patri furnituribus
    In nomine IKEA
For the BEDDINGE and the KIVIK, sing with me Valhalleluja
For the wooden TV bench with storage space and paper foil
For the pencils and the horse-meatballs, we sing Valhalleluja
The ergonomics and the quality of our chairs
    Are second to none
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Our Father Odin
    Who art in IKEA
    We understood your message
We are here to worship your creation
    Please, listen to our prayer!
    VITTSJÖ (everybody!)
    VITTSJÖ (all together!)
    Laptop stand, black-brown, tempered glass
    (Pray for the comfort!)
KNOPPARP - Ora pro nobis (come on!)
KNOPPARP - Ora pro nobis (pray for your kitchen)
Small sofa with a big heart and a perfect fit
(With a big heart for the living room)
BESTÅ TV - Ora pro nobis
BESTÅ TV - Ora pro nobis
    Bench with doors, black-brown, grey-green
    (Making furniture great again!)
SLATTUM - Ora pro nobis (yeah!)
SLATTUM - Ora pro nobis (come on!)
Upholstered bed frame, Knisa light grey
(Knisa grey is better than Sasha Grey)
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Gloria, gloria
Let us pray to Odin our Lord
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Valhalleluja
    Falegn-amen
Let us pray to Odin our Lord
Let us pray to Odin our Lord
Let us pray to Odin our Lord
    Amen!

Some facts and explained references about the song:
    - The videoclip's feast part was shot in the living room of the bassist.
    - Right before Odin enters, there is a Hebrew part that is interesting on multiple levels.
    1) It is a bent version of a quote from the Bible. Originally it's "Shema Israel, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Ehad", which roughly translates to "Hear Israel, the Lord is your God, the Lord is one".
    2) It is obviously bent to fit the Norse theme of the song.
    3) The exact same thing is written above it in Hebrew, correctly. It makes sense, since the bassist speaks Hebrew.
    4) The bassist speaks 7 other languages and has a PhD in Astrophysics.
    5)
    - At the ending there is a line "falegn-amen". Falegname means Carpenter in Italian.
    - Systembolaget: the only place you can buy alcohol in Sweden in order to fight alcoholism.
    - Permafrost: a layer of ice that is stuck to the floor.
    - Amon Amarth & Hammerfall: two Swedish bands. Amon Amarth is death metal, Hammerfall is power metal.
    - Slayer of the giants: the giants attack the humans and Thor protects us.
    - For the plunder and the rape (...) for the chopping of the heads: what vikings did.
    - For Normandy, Britannia, Greenland, Scandinavia: places where the vikings were.
    - For Nicaragua & Azerbaidjan we don't sing at all: the vikings were in Europe, so they didn't know where Nicaragua (Central America) or Azerbaidjan (Transcaucasia) were.
    - Shema Yggdrasil: it's a reference to the Torah, where the original is Shema Israel (listen, Israel). Yggdrasil is the mythical tree that connects all the worlds in the Nordic mythology.
    - Odin eloheinu: "Odin, our god" in Jewish.
    - I'm a gentle god: a reference to the extreme Swedish politeness nowadays compared to their viking past.
    - Master of IKEA: IKEA is the most known Swedish company, and even has the same colors as the flag of Sweden.
    - Gloria patri furnituribus in nomine IKEA: a slight reference to Powerwolf, a German power metal band that usually sings in Latin and uses church organs in their background mixed with metal. It also makes sense, because they're Italians and Latin was what Romans spoke.
    - Beddinge and Kivik: a clic clac sofa bed and a modular sofa.
    - The pencils and the meatballs: things you can find in any IKEA (IKEA had had recalled a batch of frozen meatballs sent to more than a dozen European countries after tests detected traces of horse meat).
    - Knopparp: Swedish for doorknob.
    - Ora pro nobis: Latin for "pray for us".
    - Besta TV: a sideboard.
    - Knisa grey: an armchair.
    - Sasha Grey: a pornstar.
    - The movie in the background: it's Trading Places (1983), starring Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy, and it's considered as a Christmas comedy.

Permafrost simply means ice that doesn't thaw during the summer season. It has nothing to do with ice stuck on the floor.

Very well explained, just a few notes:
      * "Gloria patri furnituribus in nomine IKEA" I suppose translates to something like "glory to the father of furniture in the name of IKEA" (I very much doubt that "furnituribus" is proper Latin, but there's no doubt what they did there), which really is primarily just another example of adapting Christian motifs to their "Odin the carpenter" version.
      * "I'm a gentle god": the interpretation here is probably relevant, but I also think there is a clear parallel to Christianity.
      * Early on the explanation refers to Hebrew (which makes sense), but later it starts to refer to Hebrew as "Jewish" (which makes less sense).
      * "Knopparp" does not actually mean doorknob. In this context it's just one of all the quirky IKEA product names (literally it would be the name of a place in southern Sweden), just like "Bestå" and "Knisa". ("Knopp" alone would mean "knob", though.)

i'd say the only thing you "forgot" was that the song itself is a play on the bible, starts out as the old testament, the vengefull god, then when odin appears (like jezus) the idea of god changes as well and we get the new testament

Lots of Swedish references in this video.. for an Italian band??? Systembolaget is the monopoly government liquor store and of course IKEA. Now check out their song Uranus, Lots of scientific references and some double meaning as well. Their song: And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle is funny as well.

A BESTÅ TV stand would make a great fit for that old tv ;-)
So, on second thought this is even more hilarious. As you may know the christians kinda "rebranded" the nordic midwinter festivities by declaring it "birth of christ", because you couldn't outright forbid them - a common tactic whenever a religion "takes over" another region. So the christians took midwinter from the nordic gods, then in the sixties Coca Cola took it from the christians and made it a commercial event, and in this song Nanowar kinda takes it back to the origins, but in good "religious takeover" style incorporating christian/U.S. traditions like the church choir, some slightly changed text from the Torah I believe when introducing Odin and even putting Odin through the same transformation that happened to god when going from the old testament to the new one ("times have changed I'm a gentle god").
These guys really know what they are doing, it's intelligent, full of references and satire and the music is top notch. Please keep going with the recommendations, I can promise you lots of fun.
