- Michigan football had its record amount of players who participated in the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis over the past week. So who did what? Who improved their stock the most, which players played even, and what were our biggest takeaways?

When it comes to the QBs in the combine JJ got the correct advice which was to just let it rip and if it's not caught Everytime that's ok. Guys like Bo Nix trying to be perfect and not showing off total arm strength and talent is not what they want to see. These guys want to see what a guy has in that arm strength and because they are throwing to guys they have never worked with before it's not a huge knock if some timing is off so JJ did just what he should have done and let them rip! He also crushed everybody on the white board as did most of all the Michigan players. These guys will get opportunities in the NFL just because they came from a Jim Harbaugh coached team and they are leagues ahead when it comes to knowing the game and reading the field
Bo and that shampoo Is commercial hartman don't have big arms like that. Where joe Milton has a gun but not the accuracy, mpj and jj where the most consistent,
small surprise the guy didn't watch the sparty game where barner had EIGHT catches for 99 yds & a TD. i imagine the NFL teams took note of that - and a number of draft evaluators say that barner has the ability to be a passing threat but just wasn't used as much behind loveland. but the combine is really about putting up measurable performances/numbers to boost your stock - and in that respect, no, barner didn't do much to improve his stock. i still see him becoming at the very least a TE2 for some NFL team that likes to pass to their TEs.
as for nugent, his physical build (with shorter arms which makes it hard to keep DL's off you) probably makes him a 3rd day pick no matter what. molk (who won the rimington) who had a similar build was also a 3rd day pick and lasted only two years in the NFL.
finally, for JJ, as long as one team thinks JJ is worth taking in the top 5 and they take him, that makes him a top 5 QB. as for the mocks, they should also post the mocker's accuracy in previous mocks to give people an idea of how huge a grain of salt to take with these mocks.

He said hamstring tightness at the combine. That does mess with your top end speed.
But really, his pre combine bulk probably is the real reason.
Possibly had the hamstring tighten up when he did the 3 cone. Idk what order the drills are ran.
It's certainly not added weight as that would've slowed his 3 cone as well.
