electric cars are usually pretty boring, but this looks really quite good. people will complain about how silent electric cars are but the electric whine of this has a very good low pitch sound that i quite like, and the performance doesn’t seem to be holding back either

I owned a Maserati (twin turbo) in High school . I owned a Maserati Quatroporte in my 30’s and a convertible Maserati grand Turismo in my 40’s . I’ll be 50 Dec. & the MC20 is next up !

It’s nice but such a shame that they didn’t make the Alfieri that they promised a few years ago. That would have been the prettiest car ever. I would have bought two. One to drive and a spare one to drive when the first was at the car wash.

i guess ferrari portofino came out as an alternative to Alfieri. Still prefer Alfieri design and hope it to come into light some day

Why does everything have to have 1200HP? I understand that its all about numbers type of market + looks and status, because electric cars mostly feel generic, but still. I guess MC20 is the last car that truly shows why Maserati is actually good and exciting.
The new GT Will have Nettuno engine too, so there is still Hope for this car

Good idea to invite a guy who doesn't know the difference between micro and carbon fiber for the presentation of such a promising car ... And yeah you need to be the head of communication to explain that 'Folgore' is the name of all electric Maseratis when being asked what it means ...
I just love the classic GT MC Stradale, love the back lights, love the face bumper grills, most of all the sound of the v8
Nice, but why is the electric going first..as an owner of a 2018 GT sport, i want to see the ICE version...have absolutely interest in the electric version!
ICE & EV will look 98% the same, minor grill change, and no EV plug door on the rear bumper
Because probably the EV one will probably be more popular. Mainly due to the fact that this will be the first semiaffordable sports car that’s electric out.

I wonder what kind of depreciation or reliability an electric Maserati will have? They really lack that appeal due to very high cost upfront but they look great.

Very functional back seat
Honestly don't know why they didn't follow up on the styling of the Alfieri. The rear of the concept needed a tail flick to finish off the terrible slopping back end of the profile but everything else was perfect and could have been modified for production. Now all we get is a.. Curvy looking GranTurismo... * sigh*

I prefer the old one It adopts aggressive lines, fruit of Pininfarina, with a sharp front face, a feline look.

Waited years for the new GT. hoped it would be similar to the Alfieri design, yet here we are after many years got disappointed. The iconic sound is gone the aggressiveness of the exterior design doesn't feel the same.
I love Maserati. I had the chance of buying the Tesla Plaid model S… but I wanted some roar and my rati stole my heart. I would be nervous to drive one without it’s iconic sound… Definitely need to test drive one, but I would keep my Giuletta when my soul needs a roar 🦁

Excellent! Now all that remains to be done is to refine that engine music to make it sound even better than the gasoline engine of the Maserati, I mean lovely, beautiful, exciting, thrilling, exhilarating engine music!

As a Maserati owner and daily driver I find this an exiting development. But oh boy, what if the went on with the Alfieri-design….. such a shame it was canceled (I believe Ferarri called it the Roma later on…).

If its electric why does it have a grille?
They just retro-fitted electric motors to an old internal combustion car design. This compromise is why it's out-performed by less powerful competitors from Tesla and Lucid 0-60.
Because there is a V6 version as well.
