Having driven in a 1000 hp GT-R previously on this channel, I'm sure you have plenty of experience and reason for making that claim ;)
Seeing at how fast it is pulling away from the Porsche, it is probably around 850 to 1000hp, no doubt.
No way 1000hp or the driver is only half throttle

@@DJ-sr9yq Exactly, filming is a skill and a job, if you are focused on making pictures, you can't also be in the moment. Non pro cameraman like this man and most of us are only trying to record a memory of the moment they are living, that is why it looks like shit when watching it. If you want to make good pictures you have to know that you won't be able to enjoy the moment at the same time.

The GTR driver was a 19 years old Bulgarian girl (Alexandra Vuteva), which was casually driving through Nurburgring

God that Porsche sounds heavenly. Love it. Also the GTR was very considerate to other users which during TF seems to be an ever more rare thing! Nicely driven man, great lap.
Might be worth pointing out to the passengers the cameras and the video will be available online for all to see/share so no need to wave the phones around in-front of the fixed cameras 😂

The videos are backed, which means they could be uploaded in a month or up to 6 months later. Misha said that at one point he had about 200 cars backlogged for upload. They wanna have it now, not by next year..

For being an absolute boat that GTR handled the more technical sections of the track very well. I imagine it had suspension work done to make it more agile. Great video and great driving from the both of you guys!

As an owner of a cayman s and a GTR I really approve of this video! The GTR is very agile for its size. It was designed for corners not just for drag racing. This kind of result is not a surprise for any properly modified GTR…. Like mine. All this “boat” talk is ridiculous.
but why should it be modified it to do that? the cayman wasn't.
@@acalthuIt's not modified. It only have a little bit more power. Chassis is still stock. Also like Misha said, the GT-R driver was going casually.
By your logic even the GT4RS is factory modified compared to a regular Cayman.
Also both stock the GT-R is way faster on track.
Both of those cars are absolute marvels to see on the track!

That was a hot lap! First time I've wanted a GT4, looked superb there. Really working it. It feels a bit disconnected on the road, but driven like that on a track it looks absolutely perfect

Thanks Misha! My daily dose of "Life in the Fast Lane", an old Eagles song. It is one thing to have power / potential, it is another thing to actually know how to use that power. That GT-R driver was making a statement. The entire chase makes it so satisfying!

I'd love to see the owner's footage, he was trying his best to try and make a good take. You certainly put the car through it's paces and the owner obviously realised what he had bought himself and probably what his limits were with it!

For those that don't know, when he says 981 GT4 he means the previous gen Cayman GT4. The current gen (982) gets the "718" moniker...a tip o' the hat to the 718 RSK race car that debuted in 1956. I own several Porsches, including a 718 Cayman GT4 RS (or simply, "GT4 RS", since it's the only one in history). My other Porsches include a 992 GT3 Cup (race car), 992 GT3, 992 GT3 RS, and Macan S.

Great video and skillful driving Misha. The Gtr has always been a legend. It helps when you have a good driver who know the car and track. The car is a icon. It was at the top of its form when it won many Gt3 races in the Nismo form 7 and 8 years ago. It has always been agile! Knowing how to modify them with extra power as well as suspension mods takes a already brillant car to a stratefesic level. Looking forward to more videos!

@@Motorsportsinjapan I do track days very frequently. I've also been in a lot of GT-Rs and driven a lot of different types of cars. Nissan literally created this car for the circuit; it has won countless titles in competition. And I have also been present for it to see it with myself on many different circuits. Even my own country. To say that you must have driven the base GTRs with no options with their soft suspension. Or the very first ones from 2007. Now go try the very latest Nismo and we'll come back to talk. Minimum the '20 version.

I think Misha should ban phones while driving because 1, it’s distracting to the driver 2, it’s distracting to the viewer and 3, the thing can fly out and hit someone in the head 😂

What a nice car. Gear changes seemed easy and you looked so chilled driving it. Traction control cut in briefly only a few times too. Do you leave it enabled because Porsche do a good job of it?

That GT4 is a fantastic car, I'd kill for one. Amazing to see that Nissan GTR pretty much walk away from the Porsche. Most amazing was the Porsche really couldn't gain any ground in the corners despite weighing almost 1000lbs less. I guess on a tighter track it would make a difference.

That GTR must have at least had semis on as well, if not also full suspension job; otherwise at least in the more curvy second part of the track, it would have been in trouble.
Knowing how stock GT-R boats handle, it was definitely not stock!
@mgcharoudin what's a good all around tire/wheel setup for q50 luxe awd attessa-ets tuned to 420hp and 500tq? Currently stock suspension/height. I was thinking of mimicking the Calsonic R32gtr setup slightly but on a street tire, granted I can't run same offset as lmgt1 wheels and I'm worried about scrub radius etc. R32 was a 18x10 +20 0n 265 40 18 tire. I was thinking 18x9.5 +35 on 265 40 18 or even 275. Taking into consideration I will be doing akebono brake conversion and coilovers later. I scoured the R35 gtr setups but v37 skyline sedans (q50 in US) don't have suspension geometry similarities so can't mimick their setups(correct me if I'm wrong)

While watching this video last night with EarPods somehow realise that I’m currently driving. It’s so realistic because the tachometer, front cam and pedal cam is in my dream with the video keep on repeating the sound of it kept on playing 😅

We need to find someone who can make a good bracket or something for the feet cam. It keeps falling off, wee need the feet! All jokes aside, we need to find you a better one. Losing the gopro around the feet is scary. The 👌🏻and smiles at the end, though😁

Right before the camera popped off, around @1:32 he pressed the clutch in, right foot appeared to stay on the break, and yet I heard a rev, rev counter blips, downshift. Did this car have automatic rev matching? Or is he the world's slickest heel-toe shifter?

Gtr was awesome I've had a go in one but thought they were a bit slow & boring but with some modifications it can be a monster that's something missing in today's car's getting harder and harder to modify
