we was getting divorced and she used our daughter as the rod to beat my back with .
I was a great dad , but because I wasn’t a great husband when it came to being faithful she did everything in her power to stop access to my daughter.
It was the only thing she had over me , to punish me and it hurt .
The trouble you get is the system is based to support the mother, the father doesn’t have anywhere near the same type of clout when it comes to being in front of that judge .
A good lawyer told me that a mother can actually stop contact by frustrating it .
I got that good lawyer, too fight for me, and the only way I was ever able to make my ex-wife commit to access was by having the power of arrest put over the access if she stopped it , so if she was to stop me seeing my daughter residency would be reversed.
This took some doing, but after 2 1/2 years of stop start access, I finally got there.
The name of that lawyer, if you wanna pass it on to Kev , is a woman by the name of
sally ann kodurand, she was by far the best one I used and I stuck to her and she got me what I wanted in the end, she’s known as the best in the business.
My daughter is now 30 years old , and I love her to death .

When it comes to domestic violence complaints it’s guilty until proven innocent in this country - all they need is an allegation don’t matter if it’s made up - how can that be right? The justice system in this country is completely broken and the sentencing guidelines need to be completely rewritten

Hi Matt. This brought a few memories back.. I have had a taste of this as many other fathers have. As Kevin said it's important to keep comments civil. Great that you have all the evidence to put forward Kev and I know it's painful but what I will say is that children don't forget.. they may not say much, but they are more aware than they appear. I think the law is in dire need of change. To recall a man to prison, especially lifers,it should be mandatory to go before a judge. To be recalled for alleged trivia that doesn’t even constitute a crime is absolute bollocks. It could mean years of continued incarceration for something anyone else couldn’t be arrested for!!!!!

What a disgraceful situation. Its great to see so many standing with Kevin and supporting his fight for freedom and also to overturn his conviction. So many corrupt people involved in his case and they should be held responsible and face the consequences . Hope Kevin is home soon and justice is just around the corner. It's been too long.

There are many many decent men, who as a result of a spiteful woman are in prison, or living a sad life with no contact of their children. It is terrible, be careful fellas who you get with and do not get them pregnant to quickly. You may live to regret it.

I’ve known Kevin since he was five years old, we grew up together down the same street. If he had of committed the crime that he wrongly served 20 years for, he’s the type of person who would have put his hands up and of admitted it. I know him very well, he did not commit the crime that has tainted most of his life. He’s been open and honest about some of the crimes he regretted in early life. I’ve only just found out that he’s been recalled and I feel for him, if he gets into a heated discussion with say an ex, he can so easily be falsely accused and any one remark can be highly exaggerated. When his right to child custody isn’t being respected of course he’s going to struggle to not express his frustration and hurt, like any parent. If he spoke with a middle class accent and hadn’t been falsely accused of a crime he hadn’t committed, exchanging his frustration would never of resulted in another prison sentence. If I thought he was a no good villain or even a liar, there’s no way that I’d defend him, but I know him to be extremely honest and grounded.

I think we all assumed the "Pretend" attack was on the drivers side, makes it even more ridiculous on the passenger side ffs! I did 7 months on remand 2018 scrubs for ABH on my ex, she had just broken into my shared house, got caught by one of the people in the house, called me I came out the front door with no shoes on, she was drunk, ran and tripped, got a tiny cut on her nose rubbed the blood all over her face and took pictures. And as a result I lost 7 months of my life.
Exactly what I thought initially, it's crazy when you hear it was the passenger side 👍

I had to have witnesses when I picked up my children from my ex ,she used to fabricate lies about whenever I came to pick them up ,in the I had to away from crazy and get my mum to pick them up.
