This series is really awesome. I would love a breakdown of all the categories of effects in one of your videos, I’m not sure I understand how the Cab and Amp emulation work and think that might help. I would love to see a patch that emulates Animals Era Pink Floyd or Omar Rodriguez Lopez on Amputechure
Excellent demo video! as a beginner transitioning to intermediate I was looking for a device that has all the effects i like without having to buy separate single effect pedals. This one fits that bill perfectly! Just a quick question ...in the end at around 10:00 in order to toggle individual effects on/off can't one simply directly press the red buttons with the numbers? or must one always have to press the "Up" and "down" foot switches for this?
Yes, as long as you're on the modes where that applies and not in a menu. Thanks for watching! I want these videos to be helpful, so Thanks for the feedback.
Yes, you can save and rename. You have a total of 50 patches, 10 blank, and 40 preset by the factory, but any of those can be changed, customized, moved, copied…there is nothing this pedal can’t do!
Hey Glenn, could you please tell me how to check the remaining battery charge? The manual explains how to switch battery types so it will be shown accurately, but not WHERE the info is shown! I really must either blind or dumb...
@@GlennThomasTech I use the white Panasonic Enloop ones. I think nimh. I busk for about three hours most days and recharge them when I get home. I'm not sure if they would go for 6 hours or more but I don't want to take the chance.
This might be a really dumb question but what should i do with my actual amp in terms of bass/gain/treble? Should i run this pedal through a clean tone?
from how i understand it the amp & cab sim is if you're sending your signal out to speakers or like a PA system, if you have a combo amp already then that already has an amp and speakers so you don't need to put an amp on your pedal
Great question! Really, it changes how the effects sound. A delay after the amp and can will repeat exactly what the amp sounds like… a delay in front of the amp will repeat what the guitar sounds like INTO the amp. Neither way is better, both are used often! Best advice is try experimenting! Decide for yourself which tones you like!
Renaming not too bad. Setting - Patch - knob 1 for character-/knob 2 for next character to change. th-cam.com/video/vJcLrIB3dyg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mHoxd68Yv7u98rMq
What other tones on the G1four would you like me to demonstrate? Ambient guitar? Indie rock?
Let me know!
I would like to hear Indie Rock probably like The Strokes! Keep going! I like the patches you are building with zoom G1XFour
The edge please
Sir could you plz make for me.. The advenged seven fold patch for lead

How about Gary Moore from Corridors of Power or After the War era? He always manages to stay in control, but his leads draw blood.
The shoegaze tone, I've been looking forward to it 😄
Thanks! Are you looking for a clean or distorted shoegaze tone? Or maybe both!! Haha they are so much fun.
Hi Glenn,
Alex Oriental Experience Kismet patch
(Great live sound from 80s)
Thanks a lot.
Cool suggestion! Thanks for watching.

Can you made a postpunk patch, please? I love your job! Thanks!!!😊
Great suggestion!
Can you save or name a the customer preset?

Well said. Thanks for the answer here!
Please put an analog drive pedal in front. I want to hear how it sounds😊
Great idea for another video! Thanks!

I am not sure it actually shows the battery anywhere. But I could be wrong on that. I have to admit don't ever use it with batteries!
@@GlennThomasTech turns out it only shows when you are running low! So far so good, I use rechargeable and they haven't let me down yet!
@LonePigsyAndCub good to know! Thanks for sharing the info back! Do you use lithium or nimh rechargeables?

Also can you make a pantera tone 🥹

What is the advantage and disadvantage of putting the amp before or after the effects?

Dahell is your cat unhappy??? 😂
You didn't cover the save function (not difficult tho) nor the naming (a bit more difficult).

You're so right! Sorry I didn't include that. I'll try and get that in there next time. Thanks for the reminder.
