I mean regardless, when he was notified about the allowance and then immediately stated that he was over the allowance he wasn’t exactly lying about anything. The whole process in general is set up to give you one of two choices, A: go to the declaration channel and spend even more time after an already long exhausting flight for fucking cigarettes. Or B: more than likely be able to just walk through the nothing to declare channel to save time and money. They do not catch this as often as they make it seem on these shows. These customs officers (especially in the UK) are not exactly in a “high octane” environment when they just jerked themselves off to a pretty small cigarette seizure. (Even though he immediately stated that he was over the limit and they still took his allowance of 200 without offering the chance to pay for them) Either way, I doubt this twat has seized anything but cigarettes or peoples money in her entire “career”

As an English Language Teacher, I know that when I'm speaking to someone who doesn't speak my language, I have to simplify my words when I speak to them. Seems like those that work in these kinds of jobs at airports should have training on that. The guy doesn't understand and you say "In a nutshell"?!
I have found when speaking to a non native English speaking person it seems to help if you shout at them and to mimic their accent 😆😆
I have been thinking the exact same thing SO often when watching these videos. Not only do they speak quickly and mumble words quite often, they also use phrases and idioms that are so difficult for beginners to understand. I think that for example, instead of saying "I'm under the suspicion that you're concealing narcotics in your suitcase" they should try something like "i think you have drugs in your bag" etc. the lack of logic and rational thinking is shocking.
