Almighty alliteration as always! Great video! If only there were more Castlevania games!!! Still hoping you take a second look at Terminator: Resistance this year. The more people dig into Robocop: Rogue City, the more you see how much they loved the property. For example, in order to get the best score on the shooting range, you have to do what he did in the movie: take the arms off the targets. That's the kind of details I love to see. The only game I ever saw to use that much attention to the property was using the watch laser to escape the train in Goldeneye.
"Simon displays his proficiency in combat, mastery in arms, and Scottish accent." The Scottish accent is definitely an important factor for the character.
This version of Simon kind of reminds me of Giles Redferne, the protagonist of the first warlock movie. I mean seriously, they're practically identical clones. There hunters of the supernatural carry whips as their trademark weapons, dressed in furs like barbarians and have Scottish accents.
You know, I'm working on a fanfiction based on the original Castlevania game and I actually thought of using another vampire hunting Scotsman for my personal interpretation of Simon Belmont. Perhaps some of y'all have heard of him, Alexander Anderson? Obviously my version of Simon is not going to be a carbon copy of father Anderson. But he is going to be a vampire hunting warrior with a thick Scottish accent and one of his trade is that he often tends to quote passages from the Bible in the heat of battle.
Trevor also had a Scottish accent in this continuity, as did Gabriel. Why then are you so insistent on pointing out Simon's stylishness as opposed to that of his father or grandfather's?
Since only a so interested in pointing out Simon's Scottishness, with any potential deviant artists out there interested in making some fanart of Simon as Braveheart, or Connor MacLeod, or something?
This timeline has the Chad Alucard and the Scottish flavor of barbarian Simon, both improvements on the old timeline versions imo.
But I like my OG twink pretty boys Simon and Alucard. 😢

I didn't know about that easter egg reference. Rogue City is sooo good! But yeah, only 1 more Castlevania game and this battlefield is done

When it comes to being a violently dysfunctional family, the Belmonts could give the Mishimas a run for their money.
I'd say mostly in the Lords of Shadow timeline, but the animated series does have some of the same family issues
Such an underrated gem. I'll never understand people who try and say that this is a bad game.
These games should have been a full AAA trilogy. Like the fact this was relegated to the 3DS is so crazy to me.
HD version was later made for PC and other consoles
Definitely the second best in this franchise of CV games. The first obviously being the first game.
The game that lead to Samus Returns and Metroid Dread
It really does play very similarly, especially the countering
Good to know It lead to at least one good thing
This game is way more cinematic and interesting than I remember. I don't know how I missed out on this one.
I will only ever accept that I'm the main character if I find myself one day decending to the DDDD. That's how I'll know.
It's always a good day when I see you upload a new Recap.
I loved this game
This is lowkey arguably the best 2D castlevania in terms of the boss variety and creativity in the encounters
Man, imagine thanksgiving dinner with the Belmont
Live for these
Didn't know this one existed.

Cause Simon's is way thicker so it's funny
@@OniBlackMage Okay, fair enough I guess.
