Faultless condition, the options are also great. The only issue I noticed, a long beep when putting the gearbox in reverse means, that the parking control system is out of order.
Good cars if you can get one cheap enough. Got my 2006 sport estate model with 93 k for £1900 back in 2019. It replaced a mk III mondeo estate with the same engine which had died at 200 k. It’s now done 180k and still going without any major issues. There is a problem with the front discs which keep warping despite 3 changes in rapid succession, I have to live with the vibrating steering wheel when braking! Engine is an unrefined agricultural rattle box but I kinda like that. Pulls strongly and has loads of torque and I like the chain driven camshaft, no rubber belt here! Gives a fairly consistent 50 mpg on the motorway. All those silly gimmicks like the split rear tail gate and the rear parking sensors soon stopped working and the radio is rubbish. Overhaul it’s a good old workhorse and what I use it for would make a Jaguar lover weep! I change the oil and filters every 6 k and I think that regular servicing is key to its reliability,
