I have the same Skoda fabia 1.0 tsi NJ5 i change the oil and the filter same like you I put ( one bottle 4- Litters )Castrol 5w 30 but my dipstik is right to the line MAX ...it is okey
No. It needs 0W20 considering the emissions to have less taxes on them when new. But these engines can without a doubt handle a 0W30 and 5W30 oil too. As long as it’s 504 / 507 approved. But then I wouldn’t drive 30 000kms on the same engine oil. I always change on 15 000kms regardless which oil I use in my cars. However I still have fabric warranty on my 1.0 TSI 110 Kamiq and I only use 0W20, after warranty I’ll use 0W30

I have the 1.2 TSI version of this car, it’s a great car. I’m hoping to change its oil soon, this video is exactly what I needed, thank you!
Glad it helped and yes I'm very pleased with the car.
@@micksmaintenanceanddiy Has the car served you well, any problems? Is the reliability of the 1.0 TSI good?
@@dickbrown3196 Great with no issues so far.
I have Polo 1.0 TSI
I have the 1.3L engine. It's all pretty much the same. Thanks for the video tutorial.
Will resetting the oil and service message also reset it on the infotainment console (screen in the middle of dashboard)???
Really useful. Thanks for the video
1000000 fois merci !!!!!!
Aucun tuto en français.... THE SHAME!!!!

As long as you have NOT gone over the Max Fill line on the dipstick it will be fine.
Thnx a million my friend ..... We are waiting for more videos
What oil did you use? VW 502?
VW 504/507 is what I use.
@@micksmaintenanceanddiy you may want to try VW502 which is what the maintance documentation states is the correct oil to use. It’s also cheaper!
@@maino9752 It's all down to variable or fixed service intervals on the oil spec so I prefer to use 504/507
👍manol 5w30 504/507 oil ok ?
5w30 VW spec to 504/507 it's what I use.
@@micksmaintenanceanddiy are you happy with it ? I added Mannol 508/509 0W20 in my 1.5TSI and looks fine for the moment.
@@pintexim yes very much, running well.
Personally I would not touch Mannol oil. It's cheap for a reason. I've heard too many horror stories about it. I'd stick with a good reputable brand.
@@TotalOpel horror stories? Be serious...
hi, what's your engine code??
what about warranty?
As mentioned earlier in the video the warranty has expired hence the reason why I'm now servicing the car myself.
1.0 TSI needs 0W20, not 5W30
