I was 9 years old in 1986. I am now 47! This was my mother’s favorite band and singer… R.I.P. MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER!!!❤ My mom passed in 1993 @ 33 years old. THANK YOU FOR RELIVING MY YOUTH…
The opening lyrics for "Lovin' Touchin Squeezin'" are from a Sam Cooke song called "Nothing Can Change This Love I Have For You." In 1987 when I because working in music retail, a Sam Cooke CD was among the first 3 I bought. I also had the privilege to meet Journey on their ROR Tour and sit in for the soundcheck. During warm-ups, Steve Perry sang an acapella version of Sam Cooke's "You Send Me" and it was spectacular!!
I graduated in 1988 . Music back then was awesome. It seems groups were putting out hot after hit. Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Boston, Bon Jovi…. I could go on & on. I dated the same girl all through high school. No we didn’t end up together but we still stay in touch to this day and always talk about how great those years were as teenagers.
I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan with the wonderful Motown sound! Graduated high school in 76, started listening to Steve Perry and Journey around 1980...and WAS HOOKED!! Even with all of the mighty singers that I loved listening to from Motown, Steve's voice became THE voice for me, and remains so to this day!! No one has even come close to knocking him off of that throne, and the fact that he LOVES soul music, makes me love him even more! So enjoy, and hopefully you will get a chance to listen to all of his music, girl...it is a true treat!!
Being a 54 year old now..Steve Perry brings my youth back. I love love love this man. I had to edit because of this second song..girl..I still cry hearing it!!
Girl, when you smiled when Steve started singing, I was smiling right along with you! I love, love Steve Perry as well. And yes, that hair! I'm a little older than you, and I prefer his luscious 1970's hair and sideburns, sigh. 🥰
Awesome I am a Big Journey Fan have gotten to see them 23 times starting in 1979 through this Year Great selections I remember getting to see Randy Jackson and pink polka dot bass Dawg I saw in 87 and almost 10 years before this Got it even bought more to get people to listen When You Love a Woman I did not meet my wife till 1988 first thing I did was buy her that cd and When You Love a Woman was Her Song Finally Journey tooted again with a new Steve I suggest You look up Journey Arrival cd 2001 I took her to see them a few times and we were married and had our only child a Beautiful Daughter and Chloe went to every concert with us by the time she turned 6 she had seen her Favorite Band Journey
TJ! So glad I found you! I'm 12 years older than you, but I remember those days! I went to high school with Steve Perry (he was a senior and I was a freshman). He didn't know I was alive, but I admired him from afar. He knew my next door neighbor and was at a graduation party there. I had to sneak out my window to go to the party, and I doubt he would remember me! I didn't realize when I first heard Journey that it was the same guy! Oh, the memories!
@@tjrandolphsmusicvault5966 I love to listen to old stuff all day everyday - I'm retired- and seeing others react to it takes me back! Collective Soul, Goo Goo Dolls and on and on. Also, do some Styx! Dennis DeYoung's voice on Babe, Lady, and Show me The Way all give me chills. I grew up on Led Zeppelin and still listen to them! I raised my kids on it and they are raising my grandkids on it!
I just can Appreciate Your Enthusiasm for these Songs The second one When You Love A Woman is my Wife’s Song I had been Always Such A Journey Fan and getting to first see them I was only 15 in 1977 and got to see every tour after I remember Gregg Rollie was leaving and he had been the other Singer Jonathan Cain took it from there and they wrote Songs for The Fans Definitely Sound Track of my Life in 87 it stopped but I kept the faith and when Steve Perry came back with Solo I knew the next year Journey I did get to see Steve Perry’s Solo tour which made 6 times seeing him Sure enough Trial By Fire and still had people long lines when released I was over the top but when nothing was happening for a tour I remembered Steve P. Left before I finally at 36 met The Girl and She Loved Live Music like me I bought Her Trial By Fire and that’s when we moved to next level and that was 2 years after it came out We got to see Journey’s return to concerts and I knew it was going to be with our Steve P but the next Steve Impressed us and I wanted to see what Your reaction to a Song off JRNY’s album Arrival with new Steve I can Honestly say Arrival is my 4th Favorite Journey album it’s the new Steve’s voice and sound There is a Song that I Think You would Like a Love Song for sure right after I married the one we went to see them again and when our Daughter was born we took her to 5 more Her Favorite Band before she turned a year old I apologize I dont know how to short message The Song off Arrival is Loved By You it’s on TH-cam I hated when that Steve had to leave I saw the short term fix live Jeff Scott Soto Good Singer 2008 Arnel from The Philippines I Really Like the Song’s He has his voice on I had a route sales job and bought extra copies to give out I at first didn’t see the 2nd cd and when we played it They had taken Steve Perry’s Big Songs re-recorded them with Arnel that stopped me He has a tremendous voice but not Steve Perry songs just sing them live but don’t record them I was Oh man why but I kept going to live concerts and watched him get Better and Better each Singer sings their own songs Best but and I am still a-big fan only been to 23 JRNY concerts and I have have other Favorite Bands as well I have almost been to 700 concerts all my Rock Bands but a few country Madonna Air Supply No Doubt a lot of different newer Bands I did not understand Black Eyed Peas couldn’t tell when 1 song ended and next begin Thank You Very Much I am having fun watching reactions
I graduated in 1978, and grew up in California, Steve was always my man man when it came to vocals, and journey, well, very talented group of men. I went to as many concerts as I could!
Journey - possibly the best rock-band, ever. Check out "Mother, father, sister"!! I love Escape and Raised on Radio first and foremost. One song that stands out is "Send her my love", from Escape... Do you love it, or do you love it? 🙂 ...and yeah, Idol-Randy Jackson on bass here! 🙂 Thank you for a fine reaction!! Your music taste is totally intact! 🙂"When you love a woman" - could it have been better performed? No!! Total magic, tears here still... Thank you!
Journey knew him for years. Randy Jackson played bass on the studio recording of the song "After The Fall" from "Frontiers" in 1983. He played on some Neal Schon solo works as well. Finally, it is essentially this version of Journey that played on the Michael Bolton breakout album "The Hunger" in 1987. It's why you see Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain in his video for "Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay."
Hey, I am a Journey fan, but can you react to Lisa Fischer, "How can I ease the pain!" live in Japan. IMHO she is by far one of the greatest vocalist out there, even better than Mariah.. Do you remember her? She was smoking hot ta boot!

This song deserved a Grammy. ❤
Makes me cry every time because I lost that woman I loved
He sang at four. What really got him started was he heard Sam Cooke in the car and said I wanna do that. His mom encouraged him to keep singing.💚

Omgsh, my name is Evelyn and I just found you. And this is one of my favorite songs.
Listen to Missing You, it also has a heavenly Steve Perry vocal ❤😊
This is back from when Randy Jackson from American Idle was in Journey.
He could sing the phone book and make it a hit!
I graduated in 84 from high school. Wish I knew you back then we would have hung out and gone to concerts together. Just subscribed.

Yes I saw that in the video
Forgot Randy Jackson played bass for them for a bit.

@@tjrandolphsmusicvault5966 Mr. Yo Dawg himself.
Did you do reactions to Steve Perry's solo albums? Still just as good.
I'm sure no panties were thrown on stage when Steve sang. Oh, wait!
😂😂😂
So enjoyed this! Very uplifting today. ❤️
Journey was robbed when they didn't win a Grammy for When You Love A Woman.
He looked up to Sam Cooke and wanted to emulate his delivery and stage presence.
Hermosa
You're such a sweet classy lady. Nice review. Best wishes with your channel.
Have you heard Mother Father from Houston 1981 tour?
No I haven’t
