Just came across this video. Makes me want to pick up my crochet hooks (after years of not crocheting) and make these! You do have a calm instruction method as others have comnented. Thank you!!❤
Wonderful instructions!! I see you yarn under, I yarn over. Does it make a difference? The basket is beautiful and I want to make a couple for gifts. It was so pleasant to watch your video. Nice soft music and your voice so calm. Thank you!!!
Actually it does make a difference. Yarn over produces a looser stitch since you use more yarn around the hook. Yarn under creates a tighter stitch since there is barely any wrapping of yarn the hook happening. Most people will use yarn under for amigurumi to decrease the holes and make the toys look better. I would use yarn under for a project like this to ensure a tight and uniform stitch.
Just finished one of these and it's GREAT!!! Love this pattern. I'm sure I'll make many more in the future. And so easy to size differently if you want. Thanks!
Hello. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I’m almost at 9 inches up. My total stitch count was 134 not 120 😂. I’m confused where to make the handles. Any help appreciated. I did keep. Marker at start of round at the corner. ❤
I think in your case, just take a moment to look and see where you want to put the handles, mark each end of the handle location, I had allowed 14 stitches for the handle. Single crochet until the stitch marker, chain 14, single crochet until the next marker, chain 14, single crochet until the end of the round. Then single crochet in every stitch and finish the basket as in the tutorial. Hope this helps.
I like your tutorial, but have a suggestion. Maybe use 3 markers of one color and 1 marker of a different color to designate the first corner of each round. That will help keep visual track of the start of rounds and how many completed.
One way is to add more chain when you start the handle. Another way is to finish off the basket when you are ready to add handles. Follow the procedure in this video for the handles starting at the spot where you make the handles for the basket. You are probably not doing anything wrong. I recently made a basket using a a thick t-shirt yarn and it had a more defined shape. I know I only used 2 strands of yarn in the video. I am now thinking 3 strands might be better.
first part was okay but your last was not understandable for me so can u make another video for last part explaining in detail plssssss🥺🥺 pls can u hope u reply
Please show or tell us how you went around the corner when you did the bottom edge. I have watched the video, read your transcript and also your instructions and you do not cover how to "edge" the corner. Thank you.
I love baskets. Thank you for sharing your tutorial.

Thank you, I don’t know if there is a difference in yarn over or yarn under.
Nope. Depends on how your learned.

Great tutorial!! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
How do you get the two pieces together in beginning? Like are you using both ends of the yarn or is there another trick
I think you mean I am holding 2 strands of yarn together. This whole basket is made as one piece.
I love it!!! It's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ❤❤❤😊
That's looks so easy and it's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing ❤

That is a good idea!
That’s definitely a good idea cause u don’t now where to stop
I am using bulky yarn for this basket
Fabulous!!!
Thank you Im going to try this
Would there be a way to lengthen the handles so as to turn them into straps?

@@treasuresmadefromyarn thank you!
I’m really struggling to get the corners. Mine keeps going round. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Nice basket. Wondering if you can use a chunky yarn instead of 2 strands?? Thx
I would think so, I never tried it with chunky/blanket yarn.
Can i use tshirt yarn
Absolutely! I did a smaller basket in t-shirt yarn: Easy Small Handy Basket

Serait-il possible d’avoir des sous titres en français merci 🙏🏽
I would have research that.
Merci grandement
I just finished my basket bottom and it is all wavy. Anyone have any ideas?
Maybe add a third strand of yarn.
Try using a larger sized hook.
❤❤❤❤❤
I made my basket but somehow I only had 3 corners so I made it a circle 😭😭.. I refused to give up buttt it’s a little wonky 😂😂

I do plan on making smaller version of this basket soon. Have you checked out the written pattern? It might help.

I did not do anything special with the corners. It has not occurred to me to do anything special with the corners. I will have to look into that.
@@treasuresmadefromyarn THANK YOU! That's what I needed to know. I just kept on going (I am using the BLO) method! LOVING IT!
